2023 Ford Expedition Owners Manual - Status Bar



Status Bar

The status bar appears at the top of the display. The following buttons and icons can appear in the status bar.

Note:   Some buttons and icons may not apply to your vehicle or may not appear exactly as shown.

Alexa Built-In

Image Shown Without Description  Press to set up Alexa.   See   Alexa Built-In  

Wireless Charging

Battery Charging  Wireless charging active. Image Shown Without Description  Device connected and not charging.

Traffic Announcements

Image Shown Without Description  Traffic announcements are turned on but are not supported by the selected station. Image Shown Without Description  Traffic announcements are turned on and supported by the selected station but are not active.
Image Shown Without Description  Traffic announcements are active.  

Note:   If no traffic announcement icons are displayed, traffic announcements are turned off.

Vehicle Data

Wi-fi - Networks Available  Wi-Fi available. Wi-Fi  Wi-Fi connected.
Data Privacy - Data Only  Vehicle data sharing on. Data Sharing Icon  Vehicle data sharing off.
Data Privacy - Location Only  Vehicle location sharing on. Data Privacy - Data and Location  Vehicle data and vehicle location sharing on.

Audio System

Speaker Mute  Audio system muted.  

Connected Device

Mute User  Cell phone microphone muted. Phone - Accept Call  Phone call in progress.
Bluetooth Icon  Media player connected using Bluetooth®. Cellular Signal Strength  Cell phone network signal strength.
Roaming  Cell phone roaming. Status Bar  Text message received.
E-Mail - Unread  Unread email message. Emergency Assist OFF  Automatic crash notification system off.
Phone Battery  Cell phone battery status.  

Software Updates

System Update  Press to see details about software updates.   See   Vehicle Software Updates  

Back Button

Image Shown Without Description  Some screens have a back button in the top corner. Press the button to return to the previous screen.

INFORMATION ON DEMAND SCREEN



The information on demand screen displays cards on the side of the display and allows you to see information from different features.

Directional Arrow - Down  Press the button to view the next card. Directional Arrow - Up (Open)  Press the button to view the previous card.
Information on Demand Icon  Press the button to view available cards.  

On some screens, you can swipe a card toward the center of the screen to move the content into the main screen.

FEATURE BAR



The feature bar is located on the bottom of the display and allows you to access vehicle features.

Audio

USB - Track Title Icon  Press to use the radio, a USB, a media player or a Bluetooth® device.  

Phone

Phone Icon  Press to make calls and access the phonebook on your cell phone.   See   Phone  

Navigation

Navigation Domain  Press to use the navigation system.   See   Navigation  

Favorite

Image Shown Without Description  Press to replace this button with a shortcut to a feature or setting.  

Apps

Applications  Press to see a list of apps. To open an app, select the app.  

Settings

Synchronize Settings  Press to access the settings menu.   See   Settings - Vehicles With: 12 Inch Screen  

Features

SUV Icon  Press to view features.

Note:   The icon may be different depending on your vehicle.

SETTINGS



  1. Synchronize Settings  Press the button in the feature bar to access the settings menu.
  1. Select the required tile to access specific settings.

You can change the display language and other measurement units under the General menu.

REBOOTING THE CENTER DISPLAY



You can reboot the center display using the controls on the steering wheel.

  1. Simultaneously press and hold the seek forward and audio system power button for 10 seconds.
