To Open The Hood
To open the hood, two latches must be released.
Pull the release lever located underneath the driver’s side of the instrument panel.
Hood Release
Reach under the hood, move safety latch to the left and lift the hood.
Safety Latch Location
Pull down on the center of the hood until it falls on its own.
Confirm that both the primary and secondary latches are engaged. If only the secondary latch is engaged, open the hood 12 inches (30 cm) from the engine compartment and apply enough force to engage both the primary and secondary latches.
