Follow the following when refueling
General information
Follow the fuel recommendation prior to refueling.
When refueling, hook the filler nozzle completely into the filler pipe. Lifting up the filler nozzle while refueling causes:
Premature switching off.
Reduced return of the fuel vapors.
The fuel tank is full when the filler nozzle clicks off the first time.
Make sure that the fuel cap is closed properly after refueling, otherwise the emissions warning light may illuminate.
Follow safety regulations posted at the filling station.

General information
If the fuel filler cap is not fitted correctly, the emissions indicator light illuminates on the instrument cluster.

Opening

To open the fuel filler flap, press on the rear edge, arrow. The fuel filler flap opens.

Turn the fuel cap counterclockwise.

Place the fuel cap in the bracket attached to the fuel filler flap.

Turn the fuel cap counterclockwise.

Place the fuel cap in the bracket attached to the fuel filler flap.
Closing
Fit the fuel cap and turn it clockwise until you clearly hear a click.
Press on the fuel filler flap until it engages.
Emergency unlocking
It may be necessary in certain situations to unlock the fuel filler flap manually, for instance with an electrical malfunction.
Have the fuel filler flap unlocked by an authorized service center or another qualified service center or repair shop.
