Adjusting the Rear Seats

■Adjusting the Second Row Passenger's Seats
Second row passenger's seats can be adjusted manually.
A seat or seat-back that suddenly moves or collapses can result in severe injury or death.
Always make sure all seats and seat-backs are securely locked into position before driving.
Ensuring seats are locked into place:
■Removing the Second Row Center Seat*1
- Store the center seat belt.
- Release the center seat belt detachable anchor (insert a key into the slot on the side of the anchor buckle) and retract the seat belt into the holder on the ceiling.
- Pull up the adjustment strap and fold down the seat back.
- Pull the lock release strap under the seat cushion and hold the seat back while lifting the rear of the seat.
- Pull the seat back slightly, then pivot it upward to unhook the front of the seat from the floor.
- Remove the seat.
To reinstall the seat: First hook the front of the seat to the floor. After confirming both the front hooks are fully inserted into the front strikers, begin to lower the seat, then allow it to drop and lock to the rear floor strikers. Raise the seat-back to an upright position, then rock the seat back and forth to confirm both the rear latches are securely locked into position.
■Removing a Second Row Outer Seat
Follow the steps below to remove either of the second row outer seats:
- Remove the head restraint.
- Move the seat to its rearmost position.
- Pull the seat-back angle adjustment lever, then fold the seat-back forward.
- Pull the lock release lever, tilt the seat-back forward and lift the rear of the seat. To lift the seat, grab the handle under the rear side of the seat.
- Pivot the rear of the seat upward to unhook the front of the seat from the floor.
- Remove the seat.

■Third Row Seat Access
- Pull up on the walk-in lever or pull the release strap to tilt the second row outer seat forward. Slide the whole seat forward.
- When re-positioning the seat, push it firmly to the rear to ensure the horizontal adjusters and the seat-back lock completely into place.
■Storing the One-Motion Third Row Magic Seat®
You can store the third row seats to create a flat cargo area.
- Release the center seat belt detachable anchor (insert a key into the slot on the side of the anchor buckle) and retract the seat belt into the holder on the ceiling.
- Lower the head restraints to their lowest positions.
- Pull one of the straps to release the leg lock. Keep pulling to tuck the seats and straps into the cargo area.
To return the seat to the upright position:
- Grab the handle, pull up the folded seat and pivot it forward, then allow it to drop into position.
- The front leg latches when it contacts the floor striker. Pull the strap to put the seat-back(s) upright.
Ensuring seats are locked into place:
Once the desired seat position and seat-back angles are made, rock the seat back and forth to make sure they are locked into position. There should be no movement.
