Windshields made of heat protection glass may have an infrared-reflecting coating and may, depending on the vehicle equipment, be able to be wirelessly heated. In order to ensure that wireless equipment from the accessories industry, e.g. toll systems, can function correctly, an uncoated area is present on either side of the interior rearview mirror (communication window) fig. 105.
The uncoated areas must not be covered from the inside or outside, or have stickers on them, because this could cause malfunctions.
