Variant 1: 5-seater

Opening the luggage compartment floor

1. Slide your fingers into the recessed grip  fig. 164 and lift the luggage compartment floor in the direction of the arrow.

Closing the luggage compartment floor

1. Gently lower the luggage compartment floor ⇒ .

To increase the amount of available storage space, depending on the vehicle equipment, it may be possible to adjust the height of the luggage compartment floor ⇒ Variable luggage compartment floor (5-seater).

Variant 2: 7-seater

Opening the luggage compartment floor

1. Pull the luggage compartment floor upwards by the loop  fig. 165 in the direction of the arrow and remove it.

Closing the luggage compartment floor

1. Insert the luggage compartment floor into the bracket and carefully move it downwards ⇒ .

2. Press the luggage compartment floor downwards by the load sill until the luggage compartment floor engages.

The luggage compartment floor can also be installed with the recess downwards to increase the available storage space.

NOTICE

Improper use may damage the luggage compartment floor or the luggage compartment trim.

• When closing the luggage compartment floor, always carefully guide it downward, and do not drop it.

• Always distribute loads as evenly as possible across the entire luggage compartment floor to avoid concentrating the load in a single place.

Opening the luggage compartment floor

1. Grip the handle recess and pull the luggage compartment floor out of the vehicle  fig. 166 .

Adjusting the height of the luggage compartment floor

Depending on vehicle equipment, you can adjust the height of the luggage compartment floor.

1. If necessary, remove the fixation belts or tensioning straps.

2. Lift the luggage compartment floor and pull it backwards out of the guides on the sides of the luggage compartment  fig. 166 .

3. Insert the luggage compartment floor into the guides at the desired height and push it forwards as far as it will go  fig. 166 , .

Removing the luggage compartment floor

1. Slide your fingers into the recessed grip  fig. 166  and pull the luggage compartment floor backward out of the guides at the sides of the luggage compartment.

2. Carefully lift the luggage compartment floor out of the luggage compartment and store it in a clean, dry location.

NOTICE

Improper use may damage the variable luggage compartment floor or the luggage compartment trim.

• When closing the second luggage compartment floor, always carefully guide it downward and do not drop it.

• Always distribute loads as evenly as possible across the entire luggage compartment floor to avoid concentrating the load in a single place.

Depending on vehicle equipment, compartments for storing small objects may be provided below the luggage compartment floor.

Volkswagen recommends tying down objects to the tie-downs using fixation belts or tensioning straps.
