Auto Idle Stop
To help maximize fuel economy, the engine automatically stops when the vehicle comes to a stop, depending on environmental and vehicle operating conditions.

■Activating Auto Idle Stop
When the vehicle stops with the gear position in Drive (D) and the brake pedal is pressed, the engine turns off and the auto idle stop indicator appears.
- If you release the brake pedal, turn the steering wheel, or press the accelerator pedal, the engine restarts and the vehicle begins to move.
Auto idle stop may not activate (or the engine may automatically restart) when the engine is warming up, the air conditioning system is on, the 12V battery is charging, or when other conditions are met. For a complete list of conditions, see your Owner's Manual at owners.acura.comacura.ca.

■Turning the System On or Off
To turn the Auto Idle Stop system off, press this button. The Auto Idle Stop system stops. Auto Idle Stop system will stop and the Indicator (amber) will come on. The Auto Idle Stop system is turned on every time you start the engine, even if you turned it off the last time you drove the vehicle.
