We have classified the 777 complaints from 2010 Ford Fusion about POWER TRAIN into the following categories.
Was driving on a busy city street when the car suddenly lost power. no response when i gave it gas. turned on hazard lights, turned off engine. restarted engine, put in drive, tried to move - it shook violently and noisily. with no shoulder to street, i was stranded in traffic lane until towtruck arrived. had to go to ford dealership, where they performed "field service action 13b17." service order said "replace throttle body and reflash pcm." since they did not charge for the repair, i asked if there is a recall on this issue. the technician said there was a recall for recalibration of the pcm, but with a field service action they only replace the throttle body if it fails. internet research, including this site, revealed that ford was aware of a throttle body problem but responded only by extending the warranty on it. the company claimed that in the event of a problem, the car would go into "limp home mode." whatever that means, my experience was that the car suddenly stopped in traffic. had i been on an interstate, people might have been killed. and i see, from the hundreds of complaints about the same problem, that it has indeed happened on major highways and at high speeds. it is unconscionable for ford to ignore a known safety problem such as this until after an incident. upon further inquiry, the service writer at the dealership claimed that there is now a recall for the throttle body problem, that the notices were "just sent out" and i just happened to arrive before getting one. as you know, as of today, september 9, 2014, there is no such recall shown on the ford site (could not find any recall info) or the nhtsa site. a vehicle's stopping dead without warning is a serious safety hazard. why are the affected vehicles not being recalled? *tr
Vehicle received updated software in 2010 for the transmission via the recall. continued with the same problem of shifting from park to drive and at higher speeds the transmission was slipping. took it to three separate dealers and finally they did a visual and discovered the transmission was fried!!!! there weren't any codes off at the time either. had to get a new transmission in 2011. problem still was occurring, but not as severe. problem now is it's getting worse again. took in car again and was charged 100 dollars for a them to check it and no codes and they say no problem. i do have a problem. it's an intermittent thing that i can't duplicate spot on all of the time. i'm frustrated and scared to drive this thing. on top of that the dealer has had the car for 5 days without a rental. frustrated that they recalled the car for the problem, but with the same problem they charge me for looking at it. shouldn't have to get a new transmission every 30,000 miles. please advise on who to contact to get this resolved. *tr
While driving the car will randomly stall out...the car will begin bucking, decelerate, lose power, and lights on dash will start flashing... rendering the driver pretty much helpless. this problem happened on several occasions prior to fords throttle body assembly recall. each time this happened ford was unable to determine the problem cause no diagnostic codes were present. this problem will occur and the car will be fine then will reoccur randomly. the recall was performed and the problem appeared to resolve itself for 2yrs. the car is now having the same problem...i had the vehicle towed to a ford dealer and after 2 days in the shop again no problems were found by the technicians. the car again continues to have the same problems immediately after picking up from service center. the car had to be towed 250 miles to my house where it now sits rotting away for fear of driving this vehicle.
I had just went thru a green light and my car felt like someone had a rope to the back of it and was pulling me back as i was trying to accelerate. i then noticed the wrench light on. i made it to work and when i was backing in to my parking space i felt it tug again. when i got into work, i googled the problem and this is what i came up with. my car barely has 60,000 miles on it and has been a great car and i'm hoping this doesn't cost me alot of money to fix. *tr
Just after starting the car and pulling out to drive, the wrench light comes on....then while driving the acceleration stops and goes to 20 miles per hour or less, then kicks in and accelerates and does the same thing again....i pull over and turn off the car, start the car again, the wrench light goes out then the car operates normally. took it to mcfarland ford in exeter nh, after reading information about throttle body malfunction. was doing the exact thing everyone else said their car was doing. was told that there was a recall due to throttle body and to bring the car in at no cost....company extended warranty to 10 years or 150,000 miles. while it was there being "fixed", the manager said he couldn't come up with the code for the throttle body, but a code that is related to the throttle body came up and is able to replace the throttle body if anything related to throttle body comes up, so he replaced the throttle body. the manager proceeded to say if the wrench light comes back on, we would need to bring it in again but this time it will cost. well, the wrench light just came back on again, two days after it was "fixed". *tr
Took car in to tropical ford in orlando for driveability recall. they claimed to reprogram the pcm. now on sept. 6 the car is losing power and stalling out. also the wrench icon is showing on the dash which in the manual states the issue is the throttle control/transmission. i will have the car towed back to the dealer sept. 8 to have repaired. i suspect is etb connectivity problem, a lot of similar complaints/recall repairs online. *tr
Vehicle broke down last evening, stalled with wrench light and engine light while driving in traffic. was able to safely coast to the side of the road and have vehicle towed to dealership. dealer has diagnosed faulty electronic signal in the throttle body. dealer has offered to replace the throttle body for $397. (note: mafs was replaced in this vehicle in january, 2010, only a couple of weeks after i bought it -- not sure if that is relevant or not.) ford currently has customer satisfaction program #13n03 for extended warranty coverage on throttle bodies for other 2010 fusions, but they informed me that my vehicle was not included in this program. perhaps it would be wise for ford to take a second look to determine if their current customer satisfaction program needs to be expanded? *js
I was driving on an interstate going 65 mph when my gas pedal stopped working, it would not make my car accelerate. the rpms dropped down to 1000-1500 and my car immediately started to slow down. i pulled to the side of the road and as i slowed down the car jumped and acted like it was stalling out. the wrench light on the dash also illuminated. i put the car in park and let the car run for about 1o more minutes before it stalled out.thinking that my car was broken down and i was going to have to get it towed. before i called for a tow i restarted the car and when i did, it ran fine. *js
Wrench light went on in 2010 ford fusion v6 sel. vehicle had trouble accelerating when gas pedal was pushed. rpm's were sporadic and transmission was not properly functioning. felt like gears were jumping back and forth. car was jerky and would only accelerate a little if pedal was pushed all the way down. when i got vehicle home i turned off the car and left for about an hour. i started vehicle again and light was off and rode fine. *tr
I was driving on an interstate going 70+ mph when my gas peddle stopped working, it would not make my car accelerate. the rpms dropped down to 1000-1500 and my car immediately started to slow down. i pulled to the side of the road and as i slowed down the car jumped and acted like it was stalling out. the wrench light on the dash also illuminated. i put the car in park and turned off the ignition, thinking that my car was broken down and i was going to have to get it towed. i thought to restart the car and when i did, it ran fine. until 3 days later when it repeated the same symptoms, 3 times in one day. it has now been a week and i have had countless times where this has happened, many times on the interstate, or busy roads. just today in a 2 mile stretch this happened 4 times! *tr
Car stalled all of a sudden traveling 70 mph in the middle lane of a 3 lane highway. the throttle went into limp mode and i was forced to abruptly pull off to the side of the road where the car sputtered with the wrench light on the dash. i started the car again, the wrench light went away and the engine started properly. i diagnosed the computer system and got two codes, p2111 and p2112. the throttle body is getting stuck open and stuck closed causing the car to go into limp mode. this is very dangerous for anyone traveling on a busy road and could definitely cause injury if someone is unable to react to the situation due to their car being inoperable. *tr
After letting the car sit over night, the transmission flared for the first few shifts. the car then becomes a bit jerky when shifting gears.. *tr
I parked my car on a slight incline. i got out, like i have done many times, put my car in park. i left the engine running and was out getting my dog some water, placed the water on the deck and turned to get in my car, i heard this pop of a sound and my car started rolling backward. it stayed on this good road i had into my garden, going backward, i tried to get in the car and stop it, but the angle of entry and speed kept me from doing that. it then took a path off the road and i watched as it vanished into a gully, about 8 to 12 feet deep. it cost me approx $3800.00 to repair, plus rental, plus wrecker, plus checking the under body and tires, wheels. i was told that the gears had jumped loose. it was a horror show, plus costly, and i was very lucky that it went in the gully, instead of the yard next to my property where three kids were playing. i have heard other similar stories, what has or is being done to correct this problem?
I was driving at 35 mph when i lost the throttle. the engine kept running but without acceleration. i pulled into a parking lot restarted and continued. the next day while driving 55 mph at the intersection of two merging expressways the throttle stopped working. i was able to stop in the vee just as the expressways merged. it was extremely dangerous. had it happened 200 yards ahead i may have been stuck in the middle lane of the road. ford fixed the problem but i am afraid that an inexperienced driver could have had a fatal accident. this is too dangerous an occurrence not to have a recall. *tr
I was driving my fusion down a 45 mph local road when it started shaking and the accelerator stopped working. i pulled over the side or the road, stopped the car, turned off the engine, and removed the key. i waited a minute then restarted the engine. when i started accelerating the car was jerking. i got around five miles and the accelerator stopped working again. i repeated turning off the engine, waiting, then starting back up and within the minute it stopped working again. this happened a total of two more times. i managed to get home and call the dealership. i let the car sit for an hour then drove it to the ford dealership with no issues. i have yet to hear back from them. but i see that there are multiple ford owners with similar issues. *tr
While driving on the highway the accelerator suddenly stopped working and had to pull over in high speeds when my vehicle could not accelerate. was towed and autobody shop found that the car was in "limp mode". engine code p2111 throttle actuator control system (tac) stuck open. diagnosis shows an internal fault with throttle position sensor circuit. *tr
As i pulled out onto a busy street going to work my car would not respond to gas, i had the pedal to the floor with no response other than a weak attempt at a lurch. i had to pull over (partially off of the road) into a neighbor's yard to avoid being hit by a large transport truck coming up on me rapidly. i pushed it into a "turned around" position and between pushing an the lurching got back home. the road i was on was too narrow and too busy to just leave it. i have a history of back surgery and this did not help!!!! after i got it to the hill near my home i coasted in still with no response to the gas. there was an orange light on with a wrench picture. i looked this up online and found numerous sites with others having the same problem with no help from ford! some were actually rear-ended on the interstates so i was fortunate in that aspect! (so far!) there is no recall on this issue and it seems that ford cannot diagnose it unless the light is currently on! the code erases once the engine is turned off and restarted so they "cannot" diagnose it and therefore send us back out in the defective vehicle. there is no warning that this is about to happen and there is no way to "move fast" enough to get out of the way of traffic. this could be fatal in fast moving thick traffic with larger vehicles coming up from behind at speed limits of 70 mph. the car will not move when it does this and rpms do not go above 1000rpm. are recalls only done when someone dies? if so, i need to trade this car in asap! *tr
I was driving home from work, going approximately 60mph, all of a sudden, a wrench service light popped on the dash, and i was unable to press my gas pedal. i had the pedal to the floor, and i had no power. i just rolled to a stop.. i turned the car off, and when i turned it back on, the problem with gone. the same problem happened again two days later. please issues a recall for this, as i've read thousands of complaints of fusion owners with the same problem. *tr
The first time it happened, i had just reversed out of driveway, put vehicle into drive and nothing happened when i press the gas pedal....with 10 year old daughter in car. fairly busy street, traffic coming both ways, managed to limp to side of road with flashers on. quick scan of dash showed a wrench shaped warning light. checked owners manual, shut car off, back on, seemed to correct itself.2 or 3 days later, wife was driving car, busy area near local mall when same thing happened, told her to turn vehicle off, wait a minute a restart, again problem seemed to resolve itself. after that, remembered i had gotten a letter from ford, found it and to my "surprise" it was a customer service program 13b17, re: throttlebody issues. had "recommended" service, reprogramming of pcm, that was july;y 11, 2014 drove fine for a couple of weeks, but has happened again with an alarming frequency. today alone, had to stop, restart vehicle 3 times during what should have been a 10 minute ride, which to about 30 minutes. ford needs to own this problem before someone is killed! *js
For several months the vehicle has been randomly shutting off mid-drive. followed by that the check engine light and a wrench light would light up. a week ago we received letter in the mail from ford saying that our vehicle is eligible for new throttle body since there has been issues since manufactured, which perfectly explained our problem. we took it to ford, where they replaced the throttle body. however, only a week later the car is back to the same throttle body part problem. on saturday, 6/28/14 at around 11:40pm the car turns off mid-drive right before i cross over a major intersection, rt 130 and rt 30 in collingswood, nj area. i quickly braked and turned the engine completely off before i passed the white line. i sat through an entire green and red light. once the light turned green again, i started the car back up and pressed my gas pedal. the car instantly turned off again, where i was now caught in the intersection. there was no momentum, so i very slowly coasted through during the green light, yellow light, and possibly some of the red light. luckily, i made it through the intersection out of harm, but i was at a great risk of getting t-boned by oncoming traffic on a major street such as route 130 especially late at night. obviously, the new throttles do not fix the problem. i no longer feel safe driving this car after this near fatal incident. is ford going to wait until there is fatalities from this manufactured malfunction before they act and recall this make and model? *tr
I was driving to get lunch and experienced a complete loss of power in my car and say the wrench light and engine light illuminate. i managed to pull off the road and after lurching to a stop, i shut the car off, waited a moment and started it again. after picking up my lunch, the same thing happened and i barely got off the roadway. i plugged a diagnostic machine into the car which informed me that the throttle body was "stuck open." *tr
The car when i mash on the gas the car jerks, and i get of gas and then get back on it will go then but it starts back jerking,i am scared i am going to have an accident from that and it is getting worst. *tr
Going 70 mph on i-75 and the car engine suddenly sputters and drops to idle at 1000 rpm. gas pedal did not work and it was like the car went into neutral on its own. after having to try to get to the shoulder without getting hit from behind, i had to put car into park and restart the ignition. the car vibrated and jerked right before coming to a complete stop. restarting the car corrected the issue, at least for the time being. pretty scary. *tr
Driving down highway and car sputters and engine brakes. almost rear ended. took to dealership and they said it was a bad throttle body. looked up issue and found the is already a recall ford warranty program number 13n03 but dealership stated my car is not covered. called ford they also said my car is not covered. my 2010 ford fusion sport has they same issues as cars covered under warranty program but is not covered under said program. dealership had to replace the throttle body at significant expense to myself. more cars are affected by this program and recall should be expanded for the safety of other drivers. *tr
We had been driving for 175 miles on the highway with the cruise control set. the car suddenly lost power with no warning and started slowing down. the service engine light came on as did the symbol of a wrench. i pulled off to shoulder. the car was idling very rough. stepping on the gas did not raise the engine speed. i shut the engine off and looked under the hood. there was nothing obviously wrong. i tried to restart the engine. it started and ran just fine. the warning lights were off. about 16 miles later the same thing happened. there was a small ford dealer a few miles away so i took it in. the person i spoke with was aware of this issue and indicated there was a service bulletin about it. apparently the problem is with the throttle body. they did not have one available. he said the car should always restart and we should be able to make it home. we drove the next 300 miles wondering what would happen. the car was fine for the rest of the trip. when we got home i looked this up on the internet and found countless postings of the same issue. it is obviously well known. given this, i think there should be a recall. this is very dangerous. we were on vacation (myself, wife, children) on a rural highway when the engine failed the first time. a semi truck was behind us and started catching up fast as i drifted off to the shoulder. they were blowing the air horn at me because there was another truck coming the other way and he could not move over. *tr
I was driving on the interstate the wrench light came on n the car kinda just got stuck in motion someone almost slammed in the back of me it jerked won't keep gears after i took it to them they said they won't fix it and made it worse and there are recalls on all the stuff that's going wrong with my car and they misdiagnosed what was wrong with it i will n ever purchase from ford again! *tr
I am filing this complaint in hopes that ford will be forced to issue a recall regarding the dangerous acceleration issue the fusions are having. my car will lose power when driving. i have to press the gas pedal almost to the floor to get the car to accelerate once i have lost power and the car jerks and sputters. the issue began on june 3, 2014 and worsened today, june 4, 2014. i do not have any check engine lights or wrenches. i have only traveled back roads and have not driven the car at a high speed due to fear of having an accident. i have read multiple complaints regarding a throttle body issue. so, i am taking my car to a ford dealership on tomorrow, june 5th to have my similar issue diagnosed. i am concerned because the service advisor said that the extended warranty will only be for an update to my power train system; which is not what i read in the letter. i want to have my throttle body replaced and the power train update so to prevent any future and more dangerous failures. i am also fearful because of the 'one-time' repair program, i will be out of luck and a bunch of money should my throttlebody fail after the power train update. *tr
Experiencing transmission problems. in attempting to get up to 60 mph on a local 4 lane highway, the vehicle hesitated and lurched when attempting to change gears. the vehicle cannot accelerate smoothly and revs inconsistently. the vehicle experienced similar issues at 30,000 miles and the transmission was overhauled. *tr
I bought my 2010 ford fusion sel v6 with 12000 miles and drive it daily 120 miles/day to work. it has 106,000 miles now. last week, for the third time, the "service power steering now" and "service advancetrac" indicators flashed on while driving 70 mph at night, using cruise control. arrived home safely, next morning, no power steering. drove car to ford dealership, who hooked it up to diagnostic machine, and cleared messages, power steering now functioning again. the second time this occurred the dealership looked at something to do with the wheel on the passenger side. i have not used cruise control with this car since the second episode, nearly a year ago. last week, when the third failure occurred, my friend was driving the car and had activated the cruise control, and i had warned him that i believed there was some relationship factor with using cruise control and the loss of power steering. i drive quite roughly, aggressively, and have hit many bumps with no loss of power steering. during the first and second occurrence the cruise control was activated, a rough spot was encountered, and the "service power steering now -advancetrac" messages came on, with consequential loss of power steering. no mechanical work seems to matter, only effective action is clearing the messages and reestablishing power steering by hooking up to diagnostic machine. i believe it is a software glitch maybe involving a sensor. i am not a mechanic. will the recall/replacement of throttle assembly solve this problem?? ford needs to step up and respond to this problem. *tr
While driving at speeds over 30 mph the engine will loose power and the rpms will drop and then rev back up. this happens when there is a quick acceleration, like merging onto the freeway, pulling onto a busy street. the worst experience happened just last night, march 2,2015. i was accelerating from a stop on to a busy street and the car stuttered and shook as if it was a manual transmission. i had no control over the speed of the car and traffic was coming towards me in both directions. out of nowhere the vehicle clicked into gear and accelerated. we replaced the throttle body last year and are still having the same problems. replacing the throttle body has made no difference. this vehicle is completely unsafe to drive in its current condition. *tr
While driving on interstate, car suddenly lost power. check engine light and wrench came on. turned the car off and started it back up and the car acted fine but repeated this process 5 more times on the way home.causing cars to almost run in to the back of the car. found on line where, ford was extending a warranty on 2010 fusion throttle body for 150,000 miles. took the car in to the keith hawthorne ford dealership in belmont,nc and service manager said this was true if it was indeed the throttle body. called back later to check and said that it was indeed the throttle body but my car even though itis a 2010 ford fusion with low miles is not covered but had no reason why. *tr
The throttle body failed on my 2010 ford fusion that i purchased last month. the car felt as if it simply stopped working and would not accelerate. thankfully, it occurred at a low speed, though it was very frightening. apparently, this is a known issue and ford says it isn't covered under the powertrain warranty. i am concerned about driving the car, and i feel as though this known defective part will fail again. *tr
Several incident over the past two years power steering would default, service advancetrac, power steering default would appear on dash. i would turn car off and turn it back on the power steering would be back on. this happened on multiple occasions. on may 15th i parked my car. went to church, came out of church, moved my car to a different parking spot, turned car off. when i restarted it the power steering went out and has been ever since. i was quoted at 1800 to get it fixed by dealership. *tr
While driving at freeway speed my car completely lost acceleration and started shaking and jerking (surging out of control). there was no throttle response and control of the vehicle was greatly diminished. this situation could lead to fatal crash at highway speed in traffic. luckily i was able to roll to a stop on the shoulder and get the car towed home. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford fusion. the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle decelerated and stalled. the contact stated that the vehicle would power on but was unable to accelerate. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was unavailable.
Ford issued an extended warranty for the throttle body for my 2010 ford fusion. i received multiple letters in the mail letting me know that my car was receiving this warranty. yesterday, my car suddenly stopped acceleration and made an extreme jerk multiple times on the freeway- this could have killed myself, my passengers and anyone who may have hit me. today, i was told that because my vehicle has a salvaged title, ford would not fix the throttle body component. i am not covered for their stupid extended warranty program. ford needs a full recall for the throttle body, for people like me who are beyond warranty coverage. they already conned me into an unnecessary $1400 repair before, now i feel that i am only being conned again. own up to your mistakes ford! i'm tired of having my safety at risk because of you! *tr
As i was pulling out into traffic from the driveway of the grocery store my car seemed as if it stalled as i was driving. it would not move as i pressed the gas pedal. it did not go off. it just would not move. i put my hazard lights on so the approaching cars could go around me. i then turned the car off and restarted it. it seemed to hesitate a bit but then started and i proceeded to go home. this was the scariest thing i have ever experienced. i am just thankful that my kids and i were not hurt. this is the second time this has happened to me. the first incident occurred about 3 to 4 months ago. i did not know about the recall at that time. both incidents occurred without notice and while i was pulling into traffic. *tr
Intake fuel outlet has a problem car jerks transmission is horrible
The throttle body failed causing the car to lose all power. i made it to the side of the road and turned the car off. turned the car off and left it off for a few minutes. turned the car back on and it ran. i took it to a dealer, where ford refused to fix the issue even though the part is under warranty. drove the car for three weeks after that when it occurred again while driving. took the car back to the ford dealer where once again ford has refused to fix the issue. *tr
Driving highway speed with the cruise control active, on my way to work. turned off the cruise and the car "bucked." the wrench warning light came on. it would lose rpm and then go back up again. turned around and went home. i didn't want to be stranded at 4:30 in the morning. got home, turned the car off, and restarted, and the light was off. took it to the ford dealer and they said it's the throttle body. but...my car for some reason isn't covered under the extended warranty. i have a 6 speed manual. it uses the same throttle body as automatic transmission cars. what gives?? *tr
Driving to work car had a thump then loss of power(couldn't accelerate ) and amber wrench light came on. pulled over to side of highway as quickly and safely as i could. engine was idling rough. put in park and turned off car for 2 seconds, and turned back on. car ran fine, until 3 days later when exact same problem occurred. *tr
I own a 2010 ford fusion se, i purchased it while my husband was deployed in 2010. it had 17 miles, when i bought it. i am the first owner. it seemed like a great car. in owning the car i have had to get the alternator changed- 2 years into owning the car. and recently the car has been riding "rougher" than usual. also the rpm's will randomly go up and down. and when i am at a red night and my foot is on the pedal, the car kind of "jumps" a little bit... this should not be happening since my foot is on the brake. i don't know if this is transmission related or what- but ford really needs to get this recalled it is quite dangerous. this morning the car was really acting odd. i will be calling a mechanic today and see what are my options with this car. i am terrified that i will be driving with my two young children in the car and the car start acting up- especially since my husband is deployed once again to the middle east with us air force. ford figure out the problem with this car before it causes accidents or worse fatalities! *tr
Well i previously had a problem with the transmission shifting gears and jerking. well come to find out it was from a low fluid level caused by a leaking drive shaft. one of more than 2000 known to have this problem. ford needs to take care of this or i am going back to imports again. *tr
When cold vehicle free revs before abruptly slamming into next gear this could cause damage to the automatic transmission or loss of vehicle control in adverse conditions. i have heard of numerous other complaints specific to this model. the manufacturer needs to address these concerns immediately! *tr
Driving on highway and the transmission went out of gear, coasted to edge of highway, had power to engine/car though . second time happen i was stopped dropping off wife and when i started to go, the car started to shake and sputter and the transmission went out of gear again. had to coast to empty area. both times, i shut of engine waited 30 seconds/minute and restarted and continued on without problem. *tr
Similar story to other postings regarding automatic transmission: increasingly prolonged shifting between low gears (running at increasingly higher rpms before shifting), car periodically jerks forward when accelerating from 0, and now transmission fluid is leaking from left half shaft seal. will cost over $500 to replace seal, but will take a few days for the dealer to get the "kit," because there are 2000 back-orders!!!! originally bought the car because of high ratings, and my disappointments with honda and toyota, and the rumor that ford stopped building crappy cars - guess some things never change (except, of course, how much they charge for crap). would love to find a decent, reasonably priced car, but suspect they no longer exist. *tr
My vehicle regularly "bucks" and has issues shifting. there is an apparent transmission problem and known leaking issue on this model of the ford fusion. there are over a 1000 complaints about this on the internet that i have found and ford refuses to do anything about it. this is a fault of theirs and they should be responsible for this fix! *tr
Vehicle shifts very abruptly when cold and first starting out, almost stalling out when pulling out into oncoming traffic. looks like there is transmission fluid leaking out from a seal. *tr
Transmission leak in the front left axle. mechanic at ford dealership told me this is the 5th one he's seen in the last week (on various 2010 fusion's and 2010 escape's), and he's fixed many of those vehicles with the same problem over the last few years. upon, looking online, i see many other people who own those 2 vehicles with the same problem. this costs about $500 to fix (and from reports online, many times it's needed to be fixed again). mechanic told me ford is on their 4th version of the part to try and get it right. this seems like a recall is needed! the public is getting screwed. *tr
this is the second time this happened. first time about 8 weeks ago....same thing, the car slowed down/stopped/vibrated..a picture of something looking like a wrench showed up on the dash. when i looked into the car manual it depicted a picture of a throttle control/transmission. *tr
