Rear window and outside mirror (if so equipped) defroster switch

To defrost the rear window glass and out- side mirrors (if so equipped), start the en- gine and push the rear window defroster switch on. The rear window defroster indi- cator light on the switch comes on. Push the switch again to turn the defroster off. The rear window defroster automatically turns off after approximately 15 minutes. The rear window defroster switch also ac- tivates the heated washer nozzles (if so equipped).
CAUTION When cleaning the inner side of the rear window, be careful not to scratch or damage the rear window defroster.
NOTE: The top and bottom few rows of wires on the rear window are not part of the rear window defroster system. These wires make up the antenna for the audio system.
HEADLIGHT CONTROL SWITCH Lighting 1 Rotate the switch to the position,
and the front parking, tail, license plate, and instrument panel lights will come on.
2 Rotate the switch to the position, and the headlights will come on and all the other lights remain on.
NOTE: The Lights mode guidance feature may be disabled. For additional information, see “Vehicle information display–7 inch (18 cm) Type A” (P. 2-22) or “Vehicle infor- mation display—12.3 inch (31 cm) Type B” (P. 2-46).
CAUTION Use the headlights with the engine run- ning to avoid discharging the vehicle battery.
