My airbag deployed and it cause me to hit another cars rear

'takata recall' i have been in contact with both my local ford dealership and ford corporate several times since i received notice of the parts being available for recall 19v-001 and 16v-384 but they have mot fixed my vehicle. i first contacted ford in october 2018. this is a dangerous situation and if they are not willing to fix my car i would like compensated for its value

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 ford fusion. while driving various speeds, the air bag warning indicator illuminated. the dealer was not contacted. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 85,165.

I took my 2007 ford fusion to the haldeman ford dealership in allentown, pa in response to nhtsa recall 19v-001. when the recall repair was completed, i was told by the service manager (victort) that although a new air bag inflator was installed, the air bag still would not inflate because the warning light on the dashboard would not go out. i was told that as long as the warning light was on the air bag would not inflate. i was told i would need to spend over $1200 to repair a rod underneath the seat that controlled this function. without the repair of this rod, the air bag would not inflate in an accident, leaving me without airbag protection. since this repair was not included in the recall, the repair would only be completed if i paid them the over $1200 repair cost. i was charged $110 for the diagnostic they performed to confirm that this, in fact, was the problem. i was told there was nothing further could be done at the dealer- ship to resolve the fact that the airbag would not be made functional unless i paid them over $1200. i asked for a telephone number to report this to ford. i called ford only to be told that the haldeman dealership had the right to charge me $110 for the diagnostic since they need to definitely determine the cause of the activation of the warning light. i presume that since they charged me to do the diagnostic test they will stand behind the results of that diagnostic test. i was also told by the ford representative that the problem that was causing the problem was not covered by the recall, so that if i wanted the air bag to inflate i would need to pay the $1200 repair fee. i told him the technicality of what the recall included wouldn't matter if someone were killed in an accident. he kept repeating the company line that the $1200 repair was a separate issue that was not included in the recall. he then hung up on me. please help!

Takata recall. the passenger air back was fixed by dealership and now the cover starting lifting up without not reason. i took the vehicle back to the dealership and they said isn't their responsibility to fix it, which i don't think it's right because this situation happened after it was repair.

Takata recall. i received a letter stating that my airbags were available and to contact my dealer. unfortunately, i am a military members and am stationed overseas. i called ford direct in the states and the dealer i bought my car from as well. ford direct to led me to call ford direct in spain and they could not help me with my car. ford direct spain said the campaign is not going on in europe and they would contact me if it started. i also called a ford rep in germany that the local dealer to me to call and they said they could not get me the part. the fix is to not sit anyone in the front seat of the car. all i want is to work with a dealer in the states to ship (by boat if need be) the part to th dealer here. they said they would be happy to fix it once it was here. ford does not seem to care to do anything to help me with making my car safe to drive other than giving me a phone number of the company here. is there any way to help support military members affected by the recall who are stationed overseas or am i to deal with this issue for 3 to 4 more years till i get to the states?

Upon remedying the recall, to adjust the affected "passenger side" airbag, whereas the finalized maintenance resulted in the fusion's diagnostic fault code, of which has delayed the absolution of passing an inspection this sensor hasn't "ever" illuminated 'til after the repair was completed it remains "on" whether a passenger is in the seat or not

Keep going to dealer to have car fixed an they keep putting it off. this has been going on for 4 years. keep getting letters from ford motor company to get them fixed but the dealer keeps saying they have none . they have to wait for the3m to come in. got a letter from ford motor company on june 18th to take my car into the ford dealer and i would be able to rent a car. for4rd would pay for $30.00 a day for this rental until my car was fixed. dealer says they can can't do it. ford motors says that the car should not be driven for it is not safe.

Takata airbag recall and steering bolt recall my car has been under recall since 2016, and i was just offered a rental vehicle from a ford on june 27th, 2018 - 'until further notice - renewing every 30 days' at only $30 per day, which is half the cost of a daily rental. ford stated my car was unsafe to drive, and yet i have to pay out of my pocket to have a safe vehicle until they figure out parts? i cannot even trade my unsafe car in due to the outstanding repair severely decreasing the value of my car. my car only has 103,000 miles on it and i have already spent significant amounts of money on other repairs. this car has been a total nightmare! just recently i had to replace the entire front axle due to the cv boot rupturing & major rusting. my car has had several steering column issues, including loss of power steering on three occasions, resulting in repairs. recently i read that cars manufactured in mexico have a bolt in the steering column that can come loose - resulting the detaching of the steering wheel. i have not yet received a letter pertaining to this issue - however my vehicle falls in the category described on their website.

Takata recall: toyota dealer says low tradein due to outstanding airbag recalls. trying to sell but buyers apprehensive. we have notices dated july2016, dec 2017, june 2018. do some thing.

Takata airbag - i have received multiple notices regarding the takata airbag recall via mail. the notice states to bring car to a local dealer so parts can be replaced. so, i went to my local ford and i was told that the part that is needed is not available! my question is why send out notices to get vehicles serviced when parts are not readily available? this is a national safety hazard and parts need to be available to the public. so, now i have to wait even longer for parts that may never arrive. this whole situation has been handled poorly and seems you have little regard for public safety and taking a very long time to remedy the problem.

Takata inflators

Takata inflators. this is not a complaint about a vehicle malfunction, it is about ford's failure to address the recall issues. we have received two safety recall notices. 7/16--notification of airbag danger 12/17 notification that parts would be av ailable in spring of 2018 and warning not to allow anyone to sit in the front passenger seat. we called the dealership in may and were told that the replacement parts would not be available in the foreseeable future, so we're stuck with a car that is basically a single person conveyance and consequently essentially unsalable and not repairable. my complaint is that ford has issued a safety notice and apparently has no obligation to redress the safety issue.
