Recently reported AIR BAGS problems on 2007 Ford Fusion

I have been informed that my ford fusion is under recall repair for the airbags. i cannot get them repaired because there are no parts available.

Takata recall taking two long. recall was 06/2016. still have not been replaced as of 11/18/2017. this is my elderly mothers car and every time she checks will the ford dealer in royston ga. they act like smarty pants and ask her "did you get a letter and what did it say?" her reply is that the letter said they would contact her when they get the parts. they claim they have not received the parts yet. a year and a half wait is to long. what is up with ford. my honda airbag was taken care of in 2016.

Tl* takata recall. the contact owns a 2007 ford fusion. the contact received a recall notification for nhtsa campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags) in march of 2017. the dealer (lithia ford of klamath falls, 2833 washburn way, klamath falls, or 97603) stated that parts were unavailable for the repair. the manufacturer confirmed that the parts were unavailable for the repair. the vin was unknown. the contact had not experienced a failure.

Takata recall this notice was put out in 2016, it is almost the end of 2017. i called ford motors on 11/17/17 and they don't have an estimated time as to when the dealerships will be receiving the parts to fix the air bag problems. what's a reasonable time fame? i hope they're not waiting for an accident to happen first.

Takata recall - my dashboard airbag light is on. i took it to one dealer who said that the airbag light has nothing to do with the recall and i would have to have it fixed on my own. when i took it to another dealer, i was told the light had to do with the recall and i would have to wait until parts are available and i get another letter from ford that it is time to have it fixed. please let me know what i need to do. thank you.

Takata inflators- the cover to my passenger side air bag is warped and partially exposing the airbag. i am unable to transport another passenger for fear of it exploding. in addition, the dashboard light for my driver ride airbag will not turn off.

Takata recall - i called my local ford dealer (vancouver ford, vancouver washington) to arrange to have my airbags recalled. they said that they can't do it at this time, as they don't have any air bags for the replacements, but that they would be in contact with me. they gave me no idea of timeline, etc.

Takata recall been awaiting recall since june 2016. dealership told me they don't anticipate a solution any time soon. how long is reasonable for takata to fix this recall?

Takata recall a recall for my vehicle's airbag has been in effect since june 1, 2016. it is now nov 11, 2017 and ford has been giving us the run around in regards to having it repaired, this includes hours of phone conversations and mulitple trips to various dealers. we still have not been able to have the vehicle repaired and are driving with a potentially fatal defect. if there are airbags available to build new cars then there should be airbags available to replace the ones that are defective. customers should not be left waiting a year and a half and counting to have a safe vehicle. in its current state vehicles with the defective airbags would not pass the government safety standards that are required before a vehicle can be on the road.

Takata recall - still waiting for parts for the last 2-3 years for my elderly mothers 2007 ford fusion. every time she checks with the dealer they say they are waiting for parts. this could be a hazard if she has a front end collision. do not understand why ford is taking so long. my 2002 honda was corrected over 2 years ago.

Takata recall note, no incident or issue with the vehicle. i received a notice from tk holdings to check status on www.airbagrecall.com and no remedy yet available. it's been almost 1.5 years since the nhtsa recall dated: jun 1, 2016 and there is still no remedy from ford. nhtsa recall number: 16v384. manufacturer recall number: 16s26. remedy owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a ford or lincoln dealer to have their passenger frontal airbag inflator replaced. there will be no charge for this service. recall status recall incomplete. remedy not yet available

Takata recall. airbag has not been replaced yet. ford is doing nothing about this. i would like the airbag to be replaced with a safe one.

Takata recall, i live on the east side if indianapolis and not 1 dealership has the replacement air bags available sine june for me to get it fixed. if something happens to one of my kids it will no be pretty!!!!!!!!! you need to get my side of town preferable inskeep ford dealership on the east side!!!!

Takata recall, remedy not yet available per airbagrecall.com, confirmed this with certified dealership sioux falls ford lincoln, sioux falls, sd.

Takata recall: issued in june 2016, and still not addressed. no issues of yet, but i have a land mine in my passenger dash, and it should be fixed, this is unacceptable.

Have contacted ford of murfreesboro on several occassions. they state that they do not have replacement airbags, and that it is against the law to disable the current airbag. this recall was dated june 2017. it is now november 2017. you would think that ford company would be able to engineer their own replacement airbag in 17 months.

I received notification over one year ago (july 2016 letter from ford) that my 2007 ford fusion airbag had been recalled by the manufacturer. i patiently waited to receive a letter indicating that i could take my vehicle in for a replacement airbag. upon contacting the local dealership numerous times, the dealership also repeatedly informed me that they could not make the repair/replacement until a letter was received by ford approving the replacement. yesterday i received notification that the manufacturer, tk holdlings inc, is in the process of filing chapter 11. upon researching with the information provided on the chapter 11 notice and ford letter, the only updated information i can find (other than my car is one on the recall list for an airbag) is from www.saftercar.gov in which the site states, "recall status: recall incomplete, remedy not yet available." from what i understand the airbag when deployed can cause injury and possible death. this matter is over a year old and i use my vehicle for business purposes. every day that i get into my vehicle, i feel like i am driving a loaded gun and am very concerned for my safety and specifically any passenger that rides with me (it is the passenger airbag that is being recalled). this process is not being handled in a timely matter and would i like to it expedited as soon as possible.

Takata recall received a post card from tk holdings regarding a takata airbag recall. we checked airbagrecall.com and found that our ford fusion 2007 was included in that recall. we were advised to call the local ford dealer to have the passenger side airbag replaced immediately. sexton ford in moline was very rude and the only information they would give us was that there are no parts available to fix this. how can there not be any parts available for a recall that, if not fixed, may result in death? now we are unable to utilize the passenger seat of our car until the airbag is replaced.

Takat recall, have made several attempts to have airbags replaced only to be told over and over by the dealer that they have nothing in stock.

Takata inflators. after receiving notice of recall in march, 2017 on a 2007 ford fusion, no other notice of service or required action was given until legal notice of takata chapter 11 bankruptcy was sent. still waiting for recovery for repair of faulty parts. risk of injury is the reason for the complaint; the risk of injury isn't being compensated in any way waiting for proper repairs.

Takata recall. received notice from ford in march 2017 of safety recall. on october 31, 2017 received notice from tk holdings inc, to check vin # &i found that my car was on recall. i called two ford dealerships today (11/1/2017), both stated that they have received no information from ford as to what they are to do, no parts available & to call back in "a few weeks".

Takata recall. i received a recall notice from ford in the mail march 2017. called march 10,2017 nearest dealer, i was informed that i had to wait for the second letter that will inform me that the parts are. it's been 8 months, no second letter, but received a legal notice from tk holdings about the airbag and chapter 11 case no. 17-11375. called dealer again, was informed they can't help me, because no parts. i am still driving my car with a defected airbag. seems to me it is very unsafe.

Tl* takata recall. the contact owns a 2007 ford fusion. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. the contact received the recall notice over a year ago. blue springs ford (3200 nw s outer rd, blue springs, mo 64015 (800) 524-1848) and several other dealers were contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. the manufacturer was contacted several times and was unable to confirm when the parts were to become available. the contact received a postcard from tk holdings, alerting her that they filed for bankruptcy. the contact had not experienced a failure. vin tool confirms parts not available.

Takata recall. been dealing with this since july 2016. my car has been impacted by this recall. i have called several different ford service departments many times trying to get this fixed. i have been told this airbag can deploy at any time. i have a 5 year old in a car seat that i am concerned about!!!. i keep getting the run around regarding repairing this problem!!!!!!!!!!!! this is dangerous and ford needs to fix this issue before someone gets hurt or worse!!!

Takata recall

Takata recall for airbags was announced many months ago. i was told i would be getting a notice from my dealer about getting replacements. that's never happened, even though i have followed up when i have been at the dealer (francois ford, belleville, wi) for maintenance. the dealer says the parts are back ordered and i will get notice. now i got notice of tk holdings inc. filing chapter 11 bankruptcy. i followed up with the dealer, again, today, but still no parts. this is my complaint that a serious defect has not been resolved, which it appears is putting me at risk in the vehicle i rely on daily to get to work, etc. i want the problem fixed as soon as possible, and hold the manufacturer as responsible for resolution as much as the company that made the defective airbags. how do i make this happen before some unfortunate outcome occurs from activating the airbags?

Tl* takata recall. the contact owns a 2007 ford fusion. the contact stated that the air bag warning indicator was flashing and then remained illuminated. the contact later received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags). a dealer was not contacted. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was unknown. vin tool confirms parts not available.

Takata recall - almost 17 months after the recall was issued the status is still: recall status recall incomplete. remedy not yet available

Takata recall after contacting our ford dealership numerous times, repair parts are still unavailable from takata

Takata recall/ the parts are not available. and there is no delivery date. the date for the recall shows june 2016, why are we just now being notified? i have a family and we travel daily, so this is a major concern.

Takata recall - card in mail, telling me to register / check website. when vin for ford entered at primecheck and nhtsa.gov websites, recall notice there. followed steps called dealer and was told no, ford would be sending notice first, not tk holdings. o parts in northeast, doesn't think year of car effected (2007), warmer states getting parts first, he will check ford recall site. who do i believe. my vehicle information states recall and i have been notified by mail from tk holding aka takata

Takata recall i received recall notice 17s01 (nhtsa recall 17v-024) in march of 2017. it's now seven months later and ford has still not notified me that the replacement part is available.

Ford notified via letter of recall on july 2016. as of this date, 26 october 2017 i have not received the required repair.

Takata recall. received notice from ford of recall march 2017 stating that dealer would contact me. contacted dealer to update today and was told that dealer is not ordering the parts and that if you need replacement you have to go into dealer and order the part. now 7 months since notice and nothing is done.

Takata recall i received a notice to contact my local dealership to schedule a free repair for a potentially defective airbag inflator, but the dealership indicated they do not have any parts, so i could not schedule a repair.

I received a notice of recall for the air bags in june 2016 at that time i was told by north central ford in richardson texas that i would receive a letter when they had the parts. over a year later they still do not have the parts. i called today after receiving a letter stating i had to have the repairs made by the end of this year and that takata has filed bankruptcy. i was told agin the exact same thing that they don't have the parts and i will receive a letter when they do.

Takata recall, the dealership i purchased this vehicle from used said they could not get the parts to fix the air bags and just a couple of weeks ago i received a letter stating that it would be as late a spring or summer of 2018 before parts will be available, also i had to sign a paper stating the dealership was not responsible if some was hurt by the air bags.

Takata recall my car has a potentially defective airbag inflator installed (psan) and could rupture causing injury and or death. there is no replacement part available.

Takata recall. replacement airbags not available at ford dealerships. eta unknown. my airbag light just came on.

Takata recall- local ford dealership will not repair. says company is bankrupt.

Low speed fender bender with no exterior damage caused air bags to deflate. broke passengers arm, broke the windshield, injured drivers arm (minor), damage to vehicle due to airbags totaled the vehicle. someone stopped on a highway at speeds of 55 miles an hour and driver as well as driver in vehicle in front of them slammed on breaks. they slowed down so slow that there was no damage to either vehicle except for eruption of airbags which caused severe damage all around.

Airbag recall - i have called multiple dealerships and no one has the parts available to fix my airbags. i have been calling for 2 years about this issue.

I had just bought my 2007 ford fusion barely a month ago based on the fact that the vin number was clean, no history of accidents and one owner. i have had no idea that my now new to me precious vehicle that i love lots and shelled out 3,000 for was a part of this airbag inflate recall until i got a notification in the mail yesterday and ran my plate through the airbag recall website. i use my now loved vehicle for uber and i take my children to school in the vehicle in question daily. now it makes me question not only my personal safety but the safety my children and my uber passengers. lucky for me i have not gotten into an accident with this vehicle yet. i have been in an accident in a vehicle that had absolutely no airbags at all 10 years ago and i am literally fortunate enough to still be alive and well. in the accident i was in just not this vehicle in particular, highway patrol in nevada thought i was going to die. now this vehicle i just bought i bought october 4th, 2017. also i caught when my 12 year old son who happens to be the same height and weight as me the passenger side airbag off light stays on when he is in the vehicle. i'm 5'3" 125 pounds. he's the same. that should not be.
