While i started reversing towards my driveway entrance my vehicle got completely paralyzed as i changed gears from drive to reverse, my steering wheel, brakes and shift gear stoped responding, i managed to carefully move my car to a safety location but i was in a dangerous situation when i had to let my car slide down the road of my house in order to let the traffic (i had unintentionally caused) carry on. i then, put my cars emergency brake on and called my mechanic. luckily for me, this all happen infront of my house, actually, after the 2 hour drive i had finished coming from, my concerns are what if this incident would have happen outside of my town, or in the highway, my safety and even my own life was on the line for a few minutes, i can only be lucky for so long. a couple days after, i came to find out i did not have one recall incomplete but 3!, even more shocking, i did not receive notices for any of the 3 recalls from my cars dealership. i went to them immediately and now am waiting for them to call me back to schedule an appointment i been trying to make already for the past week but till today, i have yet not received a date.

I went into my local ford dealership for a recall on july 2, 2019 and also told them my engine light was on and my car was overheating. in the last two years my vehicle has had two recalls fixed for this issue. i noticed within the last week not only was the engine light on but as i was driving the car began to suddenly jerk and start to overheat . i called ford customer service and they told me the recall for this issue for this was resolved and completed twice in the last two years... obviously not. i went to pick up my car from the service and noticed it was just sitting in the front outside of the service so i went to find someone for the keys. my vehicle would not start so they had to give me a jump. i asked to speak to the manager because my vehicle has no problems starting when i dropped it off that morning. so the manager came back after a while talking to the mechanic working on my vehicle and said "they had to jump it a few times because it kept turning off". so now i'm upset because he's telling me whoever installed it put in a smaller one than the one that should be there. i told him that's funny because i bought the vehicle here less than two years ago and it hasn't been changed since. now my vehicle will not turn on and has been sitting in the garage ever since because i can't afford the costly repairs.

Car has been overheating- took car to autonation ford in st.petersburg, fl. car had open recall from 2017 for sensor and was told that hose was bad- this took place not even a month ago and now the car is overheating again. i know this is an ongoing problem with ford fusions and known issues for ford. we purchase the car last year from toyota autonation. i have attempted to rectify that problem, but ford continue to charge for problem.

Hello, on 03/14/2019 i chatted ford on my numerous recalls on my 2013 ford fusion. i was given case# (xxxxx) and told to take to a ford dealership for assessment on prior recall repairs. in 2017 we had a coolant recall and was told by dave littleton ford in smithville, mo. that we had anti-freeze all over our engine and they had to replace the whole engine. we never had any problems or signs that it had a coolant problem? we took in because we got the recall notice. my car has never ran right since. it idles fast etc. in december our flex plate cracked, now 3 months later it cracked again. our mechanic says the engine does not appear to have been lined up correctly with the transmission and we will continue to have issues because of the shotty mechanical work done by dave littleton ford. we have taken to gary crossley ford in kc, mo. they also agree there is shotty mechanical work done to the engine repair due to recall? we have been 2 weeks with no word on how this issue is going to be resolved and are without a car? i need some answers? the engine was not aligned correctly and sealant was put in places it should not have been when replaced. i am no mechanic but they have submitted in the claim they are sending in with greater detail candice says:the reason i am asking these questions is because we are not able to view claims entered by the dealer. i want to understand what it is that they were waiting for. so, they can complete the repair, they are just waiting for ford to say it can be done under the recall, is that correct? amy says: yes if i was not sold a car with a faulty part i would not have had coolant all over my engine to have to be replaced. if an appointed ford mechanic had correctly replaced engine i would not be in this situation? ford continues to close claims and ignore issues! case#(xxxxx) parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)

The engine get overheat and stop working. the coolant level keep decreasing along the driving, but didn't find any leaking. it should be related to ford recall 17s09

My car shutters at an idol or slowly taking off where it shuts off.this has happened more then once and the scary thing is i've pulled out in a intersection and the car shuts off. i have to put it in park and restart it.it's happening more often now my engine light just came on after this happing for over a month now.

Takat recall: driving car warning light comes on then off too fast to see what warning is. while driving on a street, car tries to stop on own like hitting brakes which i am not.

I was driving down the street. my car had no signs of trouble. suddenly smoke started coming from the heat vents on the dash. i was able to pull into a parking lot and get out of the vehicle. at this time i saw flames coming out from under the hood. i called 911. by the time of arrival of the fire dept the car was fully involved in flames.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. the contact stated that the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 17v209000 (engine and engine cooling), but the contact did not receive a notification. the contact stated that the engine functioned abnormally, there was a drastic reduction in speed, and an abnormal noise was heard. elder ford of tampa (9560 n florida ave, tampa, fl 33612) was notified and did not offer a loaner vehicle. the dealer scheduled an appointment for a later date to determine if the failure was related to the recall. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was not available.

The vehicle has an electrical glitch and when attempting to park the car it will show as park but will actually slip into neutral and roll forward or back if in a slight hill. also an manufacturing error is causing the car to abruptly stop while on driving. the rpms will increase by itself and then suddenly fall to 0 and the car will not be able to move. all the electrical components will still be on i.e. radio , heat , lights but the car will not move. it's no warning as to when it will just suddenly stop so it's extremely unsafe if driving on a highway.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. the contact stated that the front and rear passenger doors would not open from outside of the vehicle. there were no warning indicators illuminated. the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign numbers: 15v246000 (latches/locks/linkages) and 17v209000 (engine and engine cooling). the dealer was not contacted; however, the recall notice instructed owners to schedule an appointment. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not notified. the failure mileage was unknown.

On january 3rd 2019 around 5am, i saw a signal saying "engine coolant over temperature" and another one regarding the steering wheel. i then noticed that my steering wheel was locked but i managed to park on the side of the highway. a vehicle behind me notified me that there was a fire. my vehicle caught on fire less than 24 hours after leaving ford service department for an oil change. records also show that my vehicle was part of a recall regarding the engine coolant, that may lead to fire. i received that recall letter days after my car broke down due to an engine coolant related issue and towed my vehicle to the nearest repair shop in 2017. after reception of that recall letter, i also made sure to take my vehicle to ford services, with the invoice of the repair that had just been done. they took my car to their shop and reassured me that the recall issue was resolved by the recent repair and filed for a reimbursement check from ford, that i have received. as of today, when i put my vin number to verify the recall, it says "incomplete". i filed a claim through ford on january 4th 2019, a day after the fire and has yet to hear from them.

Car stalls when driving or at idle

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. when the contact pulled into the parking lot at her job, the vehicle started smoking. the vehicle caught fire under the hood and exploded with parts landing into the street and onto other parked vehicles. there were no injuries. the police department stated that the contact could retrieve the incident report after christmas. the burned out vehicle planned to be towed away by the contact's finance company. the dealer was not called. the manufacturer stated that the vehicle was not covered under a warranty since it had over 56,000 miles. the manufacturer suggested the contact check with her insurance company. the vin was unknown. the failure mileage was 98,000.

I was driving down the road and, while parked at a stoplight, noticed smoke billowing out from underneath my hood. i pulled over and had my car towed to a mechanic. my mechanic said there was a problem with fluids leaking from my engine and that it was highly dangerous, routinely resulting in fires. my mechanic directed me to a recall 12s41 that covers 2013 ford fusions and said it was a match. however, ford has denied my claim citing my car wasn't covered with the recall. my car almost caught fire (my mechanic thinks it might have briefly ignited) and i would like the problem fixed by ford under this recall.
