The dash of my 2008 nissan altima coupe has melted so severely that it's almost impossible to drive in the daytime. the material once melted becomes extremely sticky and dangerously reflective. what i mean by reflective, is that when the sun shines, it reflects so much light from the dash to the front windshield right into my, the driver, eyes. the reflections are extremely and dangerously blinding which makes it very difficult to see the road or anything else for that matter! not to mention the glue like surface that makes it impossible to put something on the dashboard to try reducing the deadly reflections! the manufacture's defective product is extremely dangerous to the direct safety of myself and my family and every other motorist, pedestrians, animals etc.

My entire dashboard has started to disintegrate. i noticed it started to get shiny and sticky by the window and it is now the entire thing is so soft i can slightly press my finger nail into the plastic and it will actually cut or gouge the plastic. i have never seen a cars dashboard do this. i only use water and a cloth to clean the dash and crack my windows in the summer to avoid extremely hot temps. it is like the sun has melted the dashboard but it doesn't matter how hot or cold it is it is always brittle.

Dashboard in 2008 nissan altima appears to be melting, becoming very sticky and causing a glare on the windshield. unable to clean it with anything, due to the gummy texture of the dash. has a shiny appearance to it and gets worse every day. this is causing a problem with vision on bright sunny days while driving. afraid as it gets progressively worse how it will affect the electrical components inside of the dash area.

I own a 2008 nissan altima (vin# [xxx]). i have to two questions for you: 1) why has there not been a recall on the dashboards towards their stickiness & melting? especially since toyota recalled theirs because of that. 2) why has there not been a recall on the tpms? it stays on all the time. with it on all the time, how are supposed to tell when the air is low. if i turn it off, it won't come back on even when the tires are low. if i replace one, i have to replace all of them. ntb has even tried putting nitrogen in the tires. but that did not work. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

The dashboard of my vehicle is melting and causing a glare on the windshield that makes it hard to see especially in direct sunlight. this has been an issue in my vehicle for years. there has already been a lawsuit that was settled in florida where i previously lived but nothing was sent out to inform drivers of this. the time frame for that settlement has now passed and i have moved to another state.

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 nissan altima. the contact stated that the vehicle experienced severe vibration after being started and while being operated. the failure occurred without warning. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the engine mount bolt was stripped and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. in addition, the sun roof detached from the vehicle independently. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed as a bolt missing in the sun roof and, due to weather conditions, caused corrosion of the sun roof. the vehicle was repaired; however, the contact heard an abnormal sound from the sun roof area. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 99,000.

5 yrs ago the sound of my engine changed and upon inspection the welding on the exhaust manifold was cracked. i was informed by pembroke pines nissan that since car is at 38,500 miles and out of warranty despite it being a manufacture failure it would set me back $975. i didn't have the repair done. for the past 3 yrs, my passenger airbag light will turn off and on even irregardless if someone is in the seat or not. furthermore, the radio will go blank or have illegible characters on it. i too have the melting dash issue as well as a couple of times i slipped and my finger nail has gouged out pieces of dash board. it's amazing that lexus has issued a recall on their melting dash board on the is250 & is350 issues but nissan could care less about its brand or reputation; i guess that's what happens when the company isn't whole japanese owned.

08 nissan altima coupe that i purchased new in south florida february 08 that i've owned since has a melted, sticky, and cracked dashboard. also, the dash is changing colors. the defective and melted dashboard makes it dangerous to drive because the sun reflects on the dashboard making it very hard to see out of the windshield. as referenced in the class action lawsuit tracy sanborn v. nissan north america, inc. my car should be covered. i spoke with a rep at 1-800-nissan-1 and they claimed to have no idea this existing. i have opened my case and will hopefully get it fixed soon.

Manifold, i have taken it to the shop, they told me that it could be the manifold or gasket, is there a recall on that part, very unsafe car fills up with the smell of gasoline it also rusting on the back by the wheel it seems to me that its to early to be rusting poor paint
