Dash started flashing and beeping and lost power. had to have it towed home that cost$471.30. talked to mopar they gave me dealership information said they could get me a tow and loaner car. i called jeep dealership in rapid city, sd they said they "wont come get it or give me a loaner car but the bring it by anytime this weak because they usually are not doing anything."so now im and hour away with no way to work and no way to get jeep to rapid because of first tow bill.. the malfunctioning part has been recalled on my 2008 jeep grand cherokee.

While driving the car, it will completely shut down even when going 65 mph on a highway. it has happened several times on both local roads and highway. i will have to coast over to the side of the road, put the car in park, turn the key to the off position and then restart the car. it is very scary and dangerous. there is a recall for the electrical system number 08v059000 but my vin is not included. mechanics cannot find issue.

Vehicle does not start and shuts off ignition module or ignition key (fobik) is not functioning there was a recall 14v567000 but the dealer said there no recall on my vehicle and according to the recall it pertains to vehicles manufactured in may of 08 and my vehicle was manufactured in may of 08

After turning off engine, key fob is seized in ignition switch, but releases after period of time. this is a constant recurring issue, with varying wait times, occurring each time car is driven. prolonged wait time causes battery to drain.

I was driving down a busy road and all my warning lights came on at once-abs, check engine, battery, etc. all my lights started to flicker. my head lights began to get very dimmed so i tried switching my fog lights or high beams on but that only made it worse and the lights completely turned off. my windshield wipers began going very slow making it really hard to see as it was raining. i was able to pull onto a side street. my car felt strange while driving like i wasnt able to accelerate so once i was able to pull off on the side somewhere and get my car in park, all my lights flickered heavily and shut off 1 by 1 and then my car lost all power completely. i had to have my car towed back home bc nothing would start it.

My 2008 jeep grand cherokee laredo will not start. the battery is new. lights come on, radio comes on, lights do not dim, but jeep will not start. (not even click to indicate starter)

Sometimes when the auto engine shut off feature is enabled. when releasing the brake the car fails to restart. to get the car restarted the vehicle must powered completely off and restarted. this has happened when attempting to turn on to busy streets where it could have been catastrophic.

Key will not click and turn off completely after shutting vehicle off. while driving my vehicle, it drives a little rough as far as going over a rough patch in the road and it hits really hard. as if the shocks and or struts are gone.

Key stuck in ignition after parking

When i attempt to put the car in park, my key gets stuck and does not turn all the way to the left to the "off" position. it gets stuck midway, so i have to turn it to the right to restart the engine again and then back to the left. i have to do this multiple times before the key slides all the way left into the off position.

Takata recall (possibly). the jeep was traveling down the highway and the airbag light came on for about 30 seconds and the side curtain airbag deployed for no reason. an ember came out of it and fell on the carpet in the back and burned a hole all the way down to the metal, now my cluster panel is going nuts and all of my electrical is malfunctioning. there is no damage to the outside of my jeep to cause the airbag to deploy. *tt

When using the lane change feature of the turn signals (i.e. depressing the turn signal lever until you hit the first detent, which then activates three turn signal flashes and then automatically turns off)it occasionally flashes the wrong direction. you want to indicate right but it may flash left, it may flash all left signals or some left and some right during the same sequence. it happens in both left and right directions. it happens during about 5% of the time when using the lane change, turn signal feature. i have contacted jeep but received no assistance.

Vehicle while driving the key in the ignition on position would randomly, while driving kick to the off position. it would require placing the car in park and re-start the vehicle. there is an active recall for this issue, but it does not include my vin number.

The car ignition went into accessory position causing the engine to stop while i was driving it on the road. i do not have a lot of keys on the key. also the ignition switch feels somewhat loose when i turn the key.

Called browns automotive 483 rt 112 patchogue ny 11772 (631) 289-8500 on may 16, 2016 in reference to my wireless ignition node recall. was told they would put me on a waiting list for repair and that it could be a few weeks (spoke with jess). called back june 1st, briana told me i was #38 on the waiting list. called june 28th chrissy told me i was #30 on the waiting list. called july 29th doreena told me i was #27 on the waiting list. at this rate i will not have my recall fixed until sometime in 2017.

Between february 2016 to september 2016 my 2008 jeep grand cherokee has been experience a fail to start. this has been happening intermittently. i have had to tow the car 4 times and it has been to the dealership twice. first was told the battery was the issue, and after changing the battery it continued to happen. now they say its the starter. i have a case number with fca us (jeep customer service) not any help! jeep needs to figure what is wrong with my car and stop throwing parts at it!!!

When stationary the car often does not start, jiggling around battery will sometimes start, also when in motion the car has stalled, this occurred in busy city road. we have been to the dealers service shops to receive recall fix and inspections 3 times and they say nothing is wrong

My 2008 grand cherokee will not start at all. dash light up but will not turn over. battery in new. starter tested and ok. win recall was performed. 4wd software updates were performed. over the past year the vehicle has had multiple no start/no crank issues. after few hours or days, it will turn over. vehicles is always parked/not moving when this occurs. the dealer wants me to pay out of pocket for the tow for a diagnostic test. if the test does not show anything, i pay another $120 for the diag and have to pay for tow elsewhere. jeep customer service is useless. i pay monthly payment and insurance for a driveway ornament.
