When it gets cold the truck will go into reverse and not into drive. when trying to go to park, all the dash indicators do not light up and the check engine light comes on. after shutting off the truck and restarting it a few times, the p0705 and p1702 codes are on and i drive it home. the next day i take it in to the dealer and codes are gone and no history either. nothing to be done as the codes i gave them are not on truck anymore. this has happened 4 times already to date within the last month.

When vehicle placed in reverse there is a delay 5-8 seconds before jerking hard into gear suddenly. additionally the gear indicator lamp on the dash disappeared. then a large yellow wrench appears. the vehicle was assemble at the kansas facility and fords 12c23-s1. safety recall campaign fails to cover this, stating there is no recall listed for this vehicle vin. this vehicle nearly struck a student when my wife (teacher) was attempting to place vehicle in reverse to leave her parking place, when there was a delay to go into gear she pressed the accelerator thinking it needed fuel. as the transmission abruptly jerked into gear at the high rpms the vehicle shot backwards out of control. this is a known safety issue and is not being addressed by ford because of a number on a piece of paper. it appears i'm not the only one with this issue and ask for your assistance in helping prevent a tragedy. your organization has addressed this in the past and it appears it needs to be addressed again.

It down shifts really hard for no reason. it happened the 1st time on 12-24-19 when i was doing approx. 30 mph and for no reason it just slammed down. then again on 12/28/19 again i was doing about 30mph. suddenly my dash display just showed dash lines and a picture of a wrench on it. about 10 seconds later is just slammed down again. i pulled over and shut the vehicle off for 60 seconds and then started it back up again and it was fine. the tranny also seems to be slipping on occasion

When accelerating the vehicle transmission slips into a lower gear, downshifting improperly causing a bump in the ride and a danger in clean acceleration. this issue occurred multiple times and is a contributing power train issue.

I got a recall letter. recall #19s07. i took my truck to ford dealership, they reprogrammed the module for the powertrain on 6/19. my extended warranty ran out 11/30/19. on 12/21/19 i was driving on the highway and i had my cruise set at 67 mph. all of a sudden my gauges stopped working and had a tool show up on dash. then my tires started sliding and it downshifted. i almost hit another car. i pulled over as soon as i could and stopped my truck. i restarted my truck and all the gauges were back to normal.i drove it for 2 days without any recurrences.i think reprogramming the module is only a temporary fix. now everytime i drive it, it will down shift. i drove 35 mph and returned home and had to keep it in low speed.so apparently the reprogramming is not a fix. it is still unsafe and now i have to pay to have it fixed properly so my vehicle will be safe on the highway. eventually more people will be killed because it was not fixed right. ford should be made to pay for there defects.not the consumers. i almost had a wreck ...

I had recall 19s07 completed with the pcm flashed a month ago. right after it was flashed i had extremely hard shifting from 1st to 2nd and a hard down shift from 4th-3rd, during take off and slow down. i called the dealer immediately and was told top bring it back in because the flash was corrupt and they needed to re-flash the truck. i did that and after the re-flash, the hard shifting was still there, not as often, from 1st - 2nd but at least happening at 3 take offs when driving. this continued to the current day. i was told to drive the truck for two weeks for the computer to re-learn my driving habits. now mind you the truck drove fine prior to having this fsa pcm flash done. i took it in because the danger of having the truck go from 6th to 1st gear at 70mph is high. now yesterday (11/20/2019) i took off from a stop light (hard shifting still happening), just reached 55mph (in motion) when the truck went from being in 5th/6th gear down to 3rd gear. immediately the wrench light ...

Vehicle abruptly shifted to 1st and is now stuck in 5th gear taking to dealership but the fact that this is a known issue and can get us killed it is beyond me how ford is dealing with this. there is a 2 week delay just to ger our vehicles in. what are we supposed to do?

While driving in the city my vehicle down shifted and the wheels locked up on its own. i believe this is a transmission problem.

'takata recall' my truck shifts into 3rd and won't shift out, down shifts outta nowhere and when i shut down and restart it is automatically in 5th gear and shifts very hard from park!

After receiving recall 19s07-19v-075 by mail and having it reprogrammed by crater lake ford medford,or the transmission shifts worse than the original. my vehicle was manufactured at georgia plant. 3.7 flex fuel. i was in cruise control going down a mountain pass with my foot on the brake and the cruise control failed to disengage and then abruptly shifted to a lower gear. the cruise control works flawlessly on most grades. the problem only seems to occur when during on highways in the mountains. 39k miles. way too many light bulbs have gone out on this model. never off-roaded . not a work truck. never even towed anything. since that downhill cruise control problem occurred, now i have an antifreeze coolant leak at the expansion overflow tank on the 3/4 quick disconnect hose . vehicle has never overheated. low speed high rev before shifting into 2nd gear. cruise control problem only on highway going downhill. did they mistakenly reprogram my f150 with wrong recall?

Currently my truck is under a safety recall to update the new software on pcm for intermittent down shifts at any speed. also there is a molded leadframe warranty extension. i'm thankful i haven't experienced the downshift to 1st. but have noticed it down shifts on highway from 6th to 5th to 4th and back up. also hesitates violently when trying to pass or accelerate. laird nollerf3ord in lawrence,ks is doing update on pcm monday sept 16th. my vin is included, but they say they have to do a diagnostic and can only replace leadframe if certain codes are related. i personally think the transmission moulded leadframe should be replaced and than update pcm after. from what i read the sensors are the problem regardless of the software update. if my vin is on the field service recall and the safety recall. both should be done free of charge parts and labor. regardless of the codes. its fords [xxx] up. and many more accidents will happen if this isn't made a priority. i'm seriously scared to drive on the highway knowing anytime it could downshift into 1st gear. ...

While driving on hwy at 55mph the transmission shifted from 6th to 3rd gear causing the truck to rapidly slow down mid traffic was able to pull over to the shoulder and stop this is the second time took it to the dealer they did something worked for a little but did not fix problem.
