Tl* the contact owns a 2009 toyota corolla. the contact stated that a recall notification was received with nhtsa campaign number: 19v741000 (air bags) and the vehicle was taken to lynch toyota located at 179 tolland turnpike, manchester, ct 06042, (860) 464-4321) where the repair was completed. the contact stated that when the vehicle was picked up, the door locks of the vehicle failed to close securely. the contact informed the dealer about the doors failure. the contact also stated that the air bag warning light remained illuminated. the dealer informed the contact that there was a defect with the driver side air bag which needed to be repaired or replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 128,000.
I have a toyota corolla 2009s it was part of the original takata airbag recall that original remedy was completed in 2017. since that day i have taken the vehicle back to the dealership multiple times and concerns with a foul odor coming from the glove compartment. i have been contacted by the dealership via email saying that i need to bring it back in the airbags are being recalled that were used to replace the original recall. once i get to the dealership they say my vin number has not hit in hsta's website so i'll just have to wait which could be up to a year. they have indicated multiple times that my vehicle is going to be recalled it's just a matter of time in the meantime i'm left to drive a car that is a public safety for myself and others knowing that the air bag to deploy at anytime. he informed me the vehicles in florida recalls will be repaired first due to the heat and then they'll move their way up to zombie in the meantime i am without a vehicle and it's too dangerous for myself and others to drive they failed to work with me.
There was a recall on the passenger side airbag of my vehicle which toyota fixed. while the technician was fixing my passenger side airbag they discovered that my driver side airbag had been deactivated. i contacted toyota about the problem after reading about a recall which electrical connections to a spiral cable assembly can be damaged when the steering wheel is turned. which could lead to the driver's airbag to being deactivated, and failing to deploy in a crash. i was told they would not fix the problem.
In a frontal crash the passenger side curtain airbags were deployed and the roof handle was ejected from its base like a projectile and hit the driver head with great force .
Takata inflators
I was involved in a rollover crash and not a single airbag deployed. i honestly think it's a defect from all the issues that toyota has had with airbags. i was ran off the road going around a curve and i hit a ditch and my car flipped end over end. the front of my car was severely damaged, i was going about 50mph, every air bag should have deployed.
Air bags never went off
The passenger side air bag "off" light, warning light and main airbag light come on for no apparent reason and remain on. the vehicle had been parked and we have never had this message before. error code b1650 and b1797. the error can not be cleared. the "fix" is to replace the floor harness then the central air bag ecu and then the seat assembly until it is fixed. aprx $5000. 2 toyota mechanics gave us different diagnostic, one telling us there was corrosion and the other saying there was a broken wire. independent checking of the harness showed neither. i am from canada but thought i should submit this here also since i see complaints for this issue in the u.s,
The local car dealership would nor schedule an appointment to remedy the takata airbag recall issue.
Takata recall. i just want to know when to expect this to be taken care off?
Takata recall - i have contacted 2 different dealers in my area to complete this recall, one in january 2018 and one in february 2018. both dealers said it would take 3 days for the part to come in. when i followed up with them over a week later, they said they still has not received the part. i have never heard back from either dealer and it's now may 2018. we've received several notices regarding this recall for over a year, but can't seem to get anyone to actually fix it.

Takata recall - i have contacted the local toyota dealer (team toyota of glen mills, pa) multiple times since the recall was announced and i received the safety recall from toyota. the dealer always claims they don't have the replacement parts and won't have the parts for a long time. how can i get the air bag replaced?
The car steering wheel drags to the left while driving in a hilly curvy road. sometimes the steering wheels gets stuck while driving and cannot move or operate.
Takata recall - i received the recall notice from toyota and i made an appointment with fort bend toyota to do the safety recall. however, when i arrived at the dealership this morning, the dealership refused to perform the recall claiming that they don't do recall on saturdays (even i had an appointment). when i confronted the assistant service manager, omar adam, with the fact that i received the safety recall notice and i had an appointment, he then tried to give out excuses such as they don't currently have parts and it's the fault of their call center (who messed up the appointments). i am deeply concern as it's an important safety recall involving lives of myself and my love ones, but toyota shows no concern of our safety at all. as of now, they still claim that they are out of the parts and do not have a date for me to do the safety recall.
I received a mail from tk holdings inc. that i have defected airbags. not so sure it has been defected or after accident. and my phone number is valid for every 30 days. please contact me by email. *tr

Takata recall i contacted to certified dealership in my area, but they refused to schedule a free repair because the remedy is not available since january 2017. no incidents occurred yet, but i am concerned about the timing of this remedy because takata has filed chapter 11. thank you for consideration.

Takata recall -i'm receiving notices for the recalls and i've yet to receive a remedy for the problem .and i have teenage children that are constantly riding in this vehicle daily .. there needs to be a remedy immediately before tragedy strikes !!!!!
Takata recall: i was notified of the recall months ago and toyota still has not repaired it for me, the local dealership and i have been in communication for months now and the recall repair still isn't available; now they are saying it should be ready in november. i think it is crazy that i and my passengers have been unsafe for months now and with such terrible delay in any sort of repairs. this is unfair and shows disregard for my life and safety.
Takata recall. in january 2017 toyota sent a recall notice. later they sent a letter stating that a remedy wasn't available yet and not to let anyone sit in the passenger seat. it is now the end of october 2017 and they haven't come up with a remedy yet. it is unreasonable to have this go on so long without fixing it and telling me not to let anyone sit in the passenger seat.
Takata recall. i received an interim recall notice (nhtsa no. 16v-340 & 17v-006) from toyota. i have contacted my dealer at least 4 separate times regarding the recall repair. each time i was told that the recall was interim and a recall repair had not been identified and was not possible. i am unable to pay for a replacement air bag inflator out-of-pocket so since receiving the recall notice (i believe nearly one year ago although there is no date on the notice from toyota), i have been unable to operate my vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat. today, i received notice from takata (tk holdings inc.) notifying me that they had filed chapter 11 bankruptcy and that i should contact my dealership immediately to schedule a free repair. my dealership asked to see a copy of this notice, as they had not received this information. they indicated that they would contact me with a follow-up after reviewing the notice. however, as of today, 10/26/2017, toyota has been unable and unwilling to remedy the airbag problem and schedule my repair. the notice from tk holdings led me to visit the airbag recall website, which led me to file this complaint.

I just called tom wood toyota in indianapolis on lafayette road and they are saying the manufacturer hasn't released the remedy on the takata airbag and won't do so until december
Takata recall local dealer still does not have replacement parts. their only suggestion is to not have anyone sit in the passenger seat. they have no idea when parts will be available, yet new cars are being produced, with [supposedly good inflators]. apparently profit comes before safety.
Takata recall: i have been advised not to use this vehicle by the vehicle manufacturer. i have also been advised that the air bag manufacturer may soon not be able to pay. his has gone on too long; i cannot sell the vehicle. the airbags need to be replaced or i should be compensated for the cost of the vehicle.

Takata recall - i called tansky sawmill toyota (6300 sawmill rd dublin, oh 43017 614-766-4800) where i purchased my 2009 corolla and asked about the airbag recall. they reported they do not yet have a fix for this. i do not like driving with my family sitting in the passenger seat knowing the risk. i would like a fix for this asap.
The air bags were part of recall and when i called was told there was no solution to the problem. my car was involved in accident on oct 7th and was totaled and the air bags never went off despite the driver hitting their head right where the side air bag was.....updated 11/03/17 *bf updated 9/12/18*jb

Toyota has issue a "important safety recall" for my 2009 corolla in january 2017. in the notice, toyota recommends not carrying passengers in the front seat as there is a risk of injury or even death if its faulty takata airbag is deployed. it's been nine months since toyota detected this problem. i called my toyota dealer in bethesda, md, and was informed that a remedy is still not available. not being able to carry a passenger in the front seat is a big inconvenience. i need a solution for this problem. i would appreciate nhtsa's guidance on how to deal with this situation. can i request toyota to replace my vehicle or buy my vehicle back? should i have the faulty airbag replaced elsewhere and request toyota to cover the expense? thank you in advance for any guidance/assistance you can provide.
Takata recall: it has been over a year since the recall and toyota has not made a fix available yet to replace or repair the airbags. no incidents have occurred requiring inflation of the airbags to date.
On sep 27 i was involved in an rear ended accident on highway 880 fremont ca and all the airbag were deployed (the car was totalled), the airbag caused injury to my forehead and i am still suffering from headache.

Takata recall - we received a safety recall notice several months ago. soon after, we called a local dealership to schedule the recall repair. on the call, the dealership told us they are out of parts and would contact us when the parts are in. about two or three months later, we still had not heard from the dealership, so we called back but were told the same thing. another two or three months later, which is today, we called back and were told the same thing yet again. i receive a safety recall notice (which by the way takes away a part of the utility of the vehicle by recommending that no one rides in the passenger front seat), but receive no help from toyota in addressing it. the dealership defers any and all responsibility to the manufacturer toyota corporate. at this point, we feel very inadequately assisted with this recall.
I have not received a recall notice from toyota regarding proper action for takata airbag. though i just purchased the vehicle as used in march, 2017, the nhsta web site using my vehicle's vin confirms my vehicle has not yet been recalled for this issue.
Takata recall. i was in a car accident the norning of 09/12/2017. my car experienced significant damge to the front end, so much so that it needs to be totalled. my airbags did not deploy. the airbags should have depliyed due to the extent of the damage. at the time of impact i was turning left and my vehicle was in motion on a city street.

Takata recall have not been notified to correct this problem needs to be corrected do not like driving around with bad airbag.
Takata recall the recall on my airbags is not complete, and the remedy is not yet available in a timely manner for my safety in the event of me possibly getting into an accident and getting seriously injured or even die because of the defect in my airbags inflating and causing metal objects to fly out and hurt me and/ or my passengers. also, my seat belts don't stay in place to hold me or my passenger back in the possible event of an accident, to cause us less harm if any was to occur.
