Takata recall - the recall status is incomplete - remedy not yet available. why is the remedy not yet available?
Takada recall. my car warning light for the driver air bag is showing that the airbag is not operating. i called my toyota dealer about the warning light. they are having me bring in the car for a diagnostic however they are saying that the airbag is not in stock and is only affecting places with high himidity. high temperatures also affect the airbag ability to inflate. they are going to perform a diagnostic but are now claiming it is a cable and will most likely charge me for the diagnostic. the air bag needs to be replaced weather toyota has provided the part of not. toyota is responsible and should have had these air bags available to be replaced in the cars on the recall list. i noticed the light on when starting the car and the light telling me that the passenger air bag is off did not go off as i drove. i called the dealership today 8/24/2017
Takata inflator recall
Takata recall correction is taking an unsafe amount of time.
I have contacted my local dealer who says the parts are not available for this recall. in looking at the web site jan. 9, 2017 is the date listed this recall was announced. it is now aug. 21, and my insurance provider is saying my coverage may be increased if this recall is not taken care of. what are my options?? i received a card in the mail on 8/19/17 from the district court for the southern district of florida which says i should make an appointment with my local retailer to repair this as soon as possible. they can't repair if they don't have the parts!
Takata recall for my toyota corolla was issued in january 2017 and there is still no remedy available to fix it. this is a very dangerous matter and i feel there should be a remedy immediately. it is unreasonable to simply say don't drive your car or use the front passenger seat until the problem is fixed. this needs to be fixed now or more people will be hurt or killed.
Takata recall. "remedy not available"! takata/toyota has failed to remedy the safety recall for my vehicle in a timely manner. the video on nhtsa site suggests serious injury or death can occur upon crash/impact due to takata defect. "timely manner" would be immediate repair'parts available in all states for all vehicles. i received notification last year 2016, it is now aug. 2017 and i am still unable to escape possible injury or death because takata has failed. i live in very hot humid conditions in southern illinois/st. louis. is today the day i or occupant die from an airbag that is supposed to save lives? fortunately i have not had a crash with the vehicle, so i have not yet experienced the life threatening condition caused by the defect. fortunately i am still alive to file a complaint'will i or my passengers be here tomorrow? takata and toyota need to figure out the answer to that question. since late last year (2016) recall instructions are to not ride with a passenger. and it is now august of 2017'people have families, friends, one life to live'and need to use their passenger seat! their delay in fixing is beyond negligent. toyota dealers are disabling airbags and put "do not sit here sticker" in cars? i am making a car payment'their solution to not use of my car. i am formally requesting that in addition to repair that takata/toyota pay of my car payment from time of first notice and until they have repaired my car. they are causing daily worry and stress- is today the day i get injured or die today from a shrapnel-shooting inflator? i have been a loyal toyota owner. i would plan on another toyota in the future'but what is toyota/takata doing for me'except endangering myself and my family. by dec. 2016 there were at least 11 deaths and 184 injuries. those numbers will turn out higher. they are failing to fix the problem!

Takata recall airbag warning light illuminated. dealer claims no replacement for airbags for several months. refuses to evaluate without charging.
Takata recall - was notified in january 2017 by toyota that there is a recall on my vehicle. to date, there is no remedy yet. they recommend not putting anyone in front passenger seat. i have 5 people (including myself) i am required to transport in my vehicle. they should provide a suitable replacement vehicle for me to use free to meet my purpose for buying the car, until they find a remedy.
Takata recall i was advised in january not to drive our car due to a recall of the airbags and the potential for death from them deploying. (nhsta recall number 17v006) it has now been 7 months without a remedy. this is my family's only vehicle and we must use it for daily living needs. we fear daily that the airbags will endanger myself, my wife, or our children and we do not have the wealth or luxury to buy another car or use a taxi for all our daily living needs. we are requesting that a remedy be forced immediately upon the manufacturer even if it is simply a removal of the airbags and propellant. lethal airbags are a greater hazard than use of seatbelts in a car with no airbags at all. please offer a solution immediately or inform us of how the manufacturer will pay for a replacement car that can be safely used or be held liable for the cost of the current car toward a safe replacement vehicle.
Takata airbag recall still not fixed.
Takata recall: no accident as yet, but fearful to have passengers in my car until the airbags are fixed. i am a senior caregiver, car paid for, low mileage. i need the car to transport my husband to appts and clinics and now worry about safety. my vin # is on the matched list and i live in a hot, humid climate.
I made the appt to have the airbag recall taken care of, and the dealership made the appt for me. kolosso toyota of appleton, wi on college avenue. when i called to ask if it was done, they said they don't have the parts and don't know when they will get them. i have a car with a dangerous airbag recall and no way to fix the problem.

Takata recall this is taking far too long to get replaced. toyota has informed me that they need to replace the air bag (which could kill me, i live in the south and it's the area most likely to have faulty airbags as i understand it). i understand the huge undertaking this airbag recall involves for all car companies including toyota but at what point will this faulty deadly equipment ever be replaced? a year? five? is there even a point if a recall takes so long the car dies of old age first?

Takata recall- i've already had the drivers side airbag replaced. now i was notified several months ago that the passenger side airbag needs repaired. do not let anyone ride in that seat until repairs have been made. this is very difficult since i travel with friends and have to ask grown adults to ride in the back seat to be safe. how long is making a "fix" for this airbag going to take?? i know takata is being sued and other legal actions are being taken against them. i as an owner of this car since 2010 am angry. please let owners know that something is at least in the works or should i sell a defective car???

I had a vehicle accident on 5/11/17 of which caused a personal head injury laceration due to none of my airbags deploying inside of my vehicle when they should have. it advises that there was a recall on my vehicle for this back in 2014 for the drivers side airbags and there is no information stating that this recall had been done on my vehicle from the dealership or total loss records from my insurance company. i have attached 3 pictures of the damage done to my vehicle, as well as a picture showing no airbags deploying in the vehicle. any information/documents needed for this please don't hesitate to ask.

Takata recall i first received the recall notice in may 2016. multiple calls to the augusta dealership throughout the summer since i needed my car to make long travels with my sister and young nieces - couldn't all fit in the backseat together. constantly just told they had no resolution yet. when asked what i should do, was just told to not have anyone in the front seat, even when i said that wasn't an option. co-worker with different make and model, but affected by same air bag recall had hers replaced within days last year. i *just now* got mail stating that they finally have a resolution. a full year after the initial recall and when other cars with the same issue were fixed is pretty unacceptable. especially since i live in the area that is most at risk with high humidity and temperatures.
Takata recall - recall has been in place for 5 months that i am aware of. i have been notified that toyota does not have a remedy available for the problem other than to not use the passenger front seat. this is not a term solution. i have spoken to the dealer who has advised i should wait for another postcard instruction me on the remedy, but cannot give me a time of when that might be.

Takata recall over a month ago my wife received a letter from toyota stating that her vehicle was part of recall that involved the passenger side air bag. upon reading the letter it stated "until the remedy becomes available, we recommend that you do not operate the vehicle while with an occupant in the front passenger seat." that really sounds like a short term fix. so my wife called east coast toyota that day and explained to the dealer about the recall notice, they told her that a remedy was available and made a service appointment for 4/18/17 @ 12:30pm. when she arrived they said that there wasn't a fix and didn't offer an apology for the huge inconvenience. at the dealer she was told that a fix would be available in june 2017 and that she needed to call the 1800 number on the recall notice.. after hearing about her journey i was upset so i decided to call 1-888-270-9371. the rep julia lisa said that a remedy wouldn't be ready until december 2017. i also asked what toyota was offering its customers in the mean time because the short tiene fix was now a long term. she stated that we could ask the dealer for a "loaner car." we really need this car to transport our family around. please help.
