We have classified the 410 complaints from 2007 Toyota Corolla about AIR BAGS into the following categories.
I received a notice back in july informing me about the recall in the air bag of my car. i called around august, the parts were not available. i called again today to precision toyota in tucson and the parts are not available. this is completely absurd. i cannot have a passenger in the front seat until the issue fixed; it's been 5 months. this is absolutely dangerous and unsafe. toyota needs to resolve this issue asap or provide some sort of compensation. they should be able to provide a rental car since it is a manufacturer defect. i don't have time to be calling toyota all the time regarding the availability of parts. action needs to be taken at this point.
Takata recall - it has been several months and still no resolution to the issue even though other cars have been resolved. i have a 5 month old child in the car and am unable to drive it due to trust issues with toyota and the airbags. the remedy process pertaining to this issue is ridiculous, especially when the more expensive lines of vehicles (lexus) have been resolved.

I have received a recall for my car due to safety issue with the passenger air bag. the recall (nhtsa id 15v285) states that in case of an accident, the passenger might be subjected to metals through the air bag that can cause serious injury or death. i have been trying to contact the dealer in my area but with no success. today, we are almost three months after the recall has been initiated. a non-logical solution has been proposed which is not to occupy the passengers seat. i agree that there is no injury till the date of today, but we won't wait until an accident happens to see the results. i am requesting the following: 1) the dealer has to replace the air-bag with a safe one within two week of today (09/03/2015). i can't keep the passenger seat unoccupied more than this time. the car was bought to serve a driver, a passenger, and occupants in the back seat. the manufacturer and the dealer has to take their responsibility for any manufacturing error. 2) in case the repair was not done within 2 weeks, i am requesting that the dealer provide me with a replacement car, free of charge and with insurance, until the repair parts are ready and the repair is done. 3) a third option is that i might consider trading my car for a 2011-2013 toyota rav 4 with a payment of $4,000. this seems a reasonable solution due to the risk my family and myself are subjected due to the above manufacturing error.

Takata recall i'm really disappointed with toyota that i haven't gotten a new passenger air bag yet! i have been waiting since june and it has been almost 6 months now that i've had to depend on other people to drive us places. i'd like to get a new passenger air bag asap otherwise i may never buy a toyota again. until this recall i've been happy with my toyota, but this has changed things. i hope to hear from toyota soon so that my passenger air bag can be replaced.

I received a letter from toyota in june of 2015 informing me that the front passenger airbag inflator module was being recalled and until it could be fixed, they recommended not operating the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat. approximately five months have passed and the parts to fix the defect are still unavailable, which i believe to be an unreasonably long time frame given the safety risks this defect presents.
