I received a recall notice on june 16, 2015 due to poor front seat passenger airbags. it is now november and i still have not heard that this part replacement is available. it states in my recall notice that i should not operate the vehicle with a passenger in the front seat until the part is available. this is an unacceptable amount of time to wait for this to be fixed.

Received recall notice a year ago. called toyota dealership a month ago. said they would order the part. called again, june 9. part still not in. this recall, if not fixed could cause serious danger to the passenger. i can't believe it is taking over a year to fix a dangerous problem.

I purchased a brand new 2007 toyota corolla le in june 2007. on june 2, 2015, airbag malfunction light came on on display. following "owner's manual" that came with vehicle, i contacted a local toyota dealer, who scheduled me for a june 11, 2015 appointment. upon taking my car to toyota dealer for investigation on what could be wrong, toyota dealer found left front srs sensor to have failed and center srs sensor is poor/intermittent signal. i asked toyota dealer what caused these sensors to be defective, toyota dealer said they did not know. i then asked implication(s) of defective sensors, toyota dealer said in the event of impact airbags will not deploy. i contacted toyota using online form (http://www.toyota.com/support/#!/app/ask) on june 14, 2015. toyota called me on june 15, 2015 but did not offer an explanation that sounded reasonable. i was told by toyota representative (rep) that it could be from wear. i asked toyota how sensors can get damaged if nothing has ever been in area of sensors location to cause any wear or damage. i then told her i have only had routine maintenance done such as oil change, air filter change, tire replacement etc done and that i have never been in a crash for as long as i have owned the vehicle. i then asked her how long sensors can be expected to last without damage and/or wear and she did not know. she said manager of toyota dealer who diagnosed the problem will contact me on june 17, 2015. something tells me toyota is not going to accept this is toyota's fault hence i am filing this complaint. thank you....updated 07/30/15 *bf updated 11/9/2015*js

My car is part of the airbag recall and i am submitting this complaint due to the prolonged amount of time the manufacturer is taking to remedy the problem. it is totally unacceptable that there isn't even any information about an approximate timeline for a fix. rental cars with functioning passenger seats should be issued to all effected if this is not fixed soon.

Takata airbag recall letter received last year. called toyota over the past months, dealership which sold us the car (caldwell toyota no longer a toyota dealership and couldn't help us) and a recommended dealership nearby. no one could give us answers or help. we were told we could get a loaner. dealership wanted us to go with them to rent a car and someone would reimburse us (paul miller). i cannot efficiently carpool with teen daughter's teammates and friends. toyota assured me last year that parts were going to southern "warm" states first and then would get to northeast. keep calling service center or wait for letter announcing parts are in. in sept. i was told more cars were involved than originally thought. remedy could take longer. they told me to keep calling toyota as well for updates. in october i was assured that the driver's side was not impacted. if the "airbag" light is consistently on i can bring car to have airbag deactivated. apparently no airbag is safer than a faulty one that can impale my with [xxx] children!!!??? shame on all involved in this. i am a mother of a teen who soon will be learning to drive - is it safe to have the adult driver in the backseat with the restricted driver in the front alone? my mother is 92 and my mother-in-law is 87 i am their main source of transporatation. i drive disabled and elderly parishioners from my church to church events, shopping and errands. i bought a car with 2 front seats and three in the back because i need them all! this recall has been frustrating and an energy drainer, this recall affects my life every day. being an optimist and my "things could be worse" attitude have probably not been helpful in getting answers and solutions...i am losing my patience. any help you can give would be much appreciated. I have have a letter directly from toyota telling me about my airbag recall for my 2007 toyota corolla and how it should be replaced for free in a timely matter. i have been contacting the toyota dealership multiple times to replace the recalled airbag for my car. i also went directly to the toyota dealership and when i spoke to the managers, they spoke as if they did not know what i was talking about. for more than a year, i have gotten no response back from toyota or the dealership on how to get my car fixed.
