Takata recallon but this is not under the recall, but i did see it there were recalled in europe just the other day for not going off as well as going off without being hit. i just wish mine had gone off. 09/23/2018 i was hit headon by a vehicle going 45 mph. there was no where on my front end that was not effected by the accident. researching i found where the sensors were for the air bag, each on each side of the raditor was hit. the air bag did not deflate casing myself neck and back injury that will never repair. pictures will show that there is no way none of the air bag sensors were not damaged or hit to advise the air bag to go off and hold the person in place so they do not get slung around like a rag doll until the accident is over. i remember seeing that the accident was going to happen, i just did not think i would of been involved in it. unfortunately, a truck hit another vehicle which that vehicle slammed into me at full force. i first was slung into the door, the next thing i remember is my accelerator sticking so i had to turn off my key to avoid flying across a busy road. i have a buldging disc, damaged tendons and muscles. i am 61 years old and now fear that if hit ever again the air bag will not deploy.

Saturday, june 2. the driver's airbag light came on intermittently while i was driving my 2007 toyota corolla. i immediately took my vehicle to the local toyota dealer. the diagnosis was intermittent open circuit in the spiral cable. i read on the nhtsa website that this is a problem with other toyota models and years and that a recall notice was sent to owners and repairs were made at no cost to the consumer. tuesday, june 5. the defective part was replaced and i was told that toyota would not pay for the parts and labor. i spoke with the director of parts and service to ask why i was charged for the repair. he said the spiral cable was not related directly to the airbag, so it is not a recall issue; it's a part that wears out, like a worn-out tire or brake pads that one would need to replace. i told him that other toyota vehicles with defective spiral cables were repaired at no cost to the consumer. he said that there was nothing he could do to help because it was out of his hands and that i would need to call the 800 number for customer service. june 6. i called customer service and explained my concern. the representative who took my information said that i would get a call back in a day after he researched the situation. thursday, june 7. i received a call from customer service informing me that my request for toyota to pay the for the repair was denied. this is obviously a safety-related defect as other vehicles were recalled for the same reason. i was told i could drive my vehicle without the defective part replaced, but i didn't have peace of mind that it would be safe to me or to others in the event of an accident while driving; i needed to be assured that the airbag would deploy under conditions it is meant to deploy. toyota should reimburse me for the total cost as the airbag did not meet the standards to safely operate my vehicle.

Takata recall i took my 2007 toyota corolla in for the air bag recall to centennial toyota in las vegas, nv , the service agent let me know the air bag indicator light still remained on after the recall service was completed. a $ 150 diagnostic charge was going to be applied to find what else be wrong with the safety equipment on the corolla. i made contact with toyota corporation to explain the dilemma.(800) 331-4331 i spoke with kristina and was informed that recall situation has been fix and if i wanted to know what other safety issues i might be having with the air bag indicator light being on, i would have to pay for it.. i will get the diagnostic done, and report the other failed safety devices not covered by recall.
Takata recall: toyota is frequently mailing me reminders and making telephone calls advising me to take my car to the nearest dealer to repair a defect that could spray bits of metal around the cabin. i am on the "list" at my dealer and they tell me it could be two months or longer before they get the parts. when i called the toyota recall people today they said at another dealer the estimated wait for parts was 14 weeks. how is this acceptable? i am sure that all of these notices are merely to meet some requirement that the nhtsa has placed on them. why don't we just fix the car!
Takata inflators. you, the nhtsa, are fully aware the takata airbags are not safe and have harmed people. why is it taking so long to issue a safety recall on my model of car? i could be killed, and the delay by the nhtsa to recall the airbags, would be your fault. maybe you have forgotten your responsibility is to the public.

Takata recall an observation. we are currently 50th on a recall repair list at our local toyota dealer, with replacement parts arriving there at a rate of 4-8 per week. the recall repair may not take place until november. meanwhile, we are driving an unsafe vehicle and cannot carry any passengers. we own three toyota vehicles in our family but have lost faith in the company and won't buy one of their cars again.
Takata recall - i received my recall notice for the air bags in 2015, at that time i called 1-888-312-5995 and i was advised to contact my local toyota dealership. performance toyota in fairfield, ohio was contacted. i was told that the replacement part was on order and they would contact me once the part came in to set up the appointment. i contact the dealership in the spring 2015, i was advised the part was on back order and it could take 30-60 days. i just called the toyota dealership and i'm now being told there is a 12 week/3 month delay on filling back orders and that orders are being filled based on the vin numbers. i'm now being told that they will call me in october when the part comes in. when i called the toyota repair & resolution hot line i was advised to go to another toyota dealership in my area. when i told the agent that all of the dealerships are receiving their replacement parts from the same facility, i'll have the same problem at the other dealership. i advised her that toyota can't meet the demand, doesn't have the parts in place and continues to put customers off to resolve the recall notice. i was then asked if there was anything else she could help me with today. *tr

Takata recall. i received a letter last year stating that there was a recall on the air bags, that parts were unavailable for the area and to not have passengers in the front. in may i received a letter stating parts were available in my area. on june 22nd i called to make an appointment to have it replaced. i was told it's been taking approximately 6-8 weeks for the part to come in and they are sent in specific to vin, it is now almost 8 weeks later. the part has still not come in. it's been almost a year since this was originally recalled and over 2 months since i received the letter notifying me of the part being available and there is yet to be a remedy to the solution.
I received a recall notice stating that my front passenger air bag was being recalled and advising that i should have no passengers in the front passenger seat. i have contacted a local dealership and called toyota. they tell me that i must wait weeks or months to have the air bag replaced due to a shortage of the part.
Received "urgent" letter and two urgent emails from toyota on my air bag inflator recall. they said to contact them immediately for repair scheduling. called local dealer and was told it is a seven month waiting list for the parts. this is ridiculous, why were their contacts to me so urgent. i then called toyota's customer service 800 number (1-888-270-9371), their pre-recorded message prior to connecting me to an agent said after my call i'd be able to take a customer satisfaction survey. after talking to the agent about my dissatisfaction with the "urgent contacts" and seven month wait. they refused to let me take the customer survey. this was a flat out refusal, they would not even forward me in to the survey. this really stinks.
Nothing has happened and that's my complaint. recall notices sent to home via mail to update me on nothing. i would like some actual information as to when the airbag replacement part will be available. you apologize for any inconvenience this will cause. it's gone from being an inconvenience to negligent on your part.
I received a recall notice for the passenger-side airbag in my car over a year ago. at that time, the replacement parts were not ready. then, several months ago, i received a notice stating that replacement parts were available and to contact my local dealership. however, since then, all parts have been on back order and unavailable from any dealership in my area. the problem is potentially deadly and effectively prohibits me from driving any passengers in the front seat of my car. so for over a year now there has been no solution.
Takata recall i was sent a letter stating that toyota has completed parts preparation for my geographical area. i called toyota bountiful in bountiful, ut and they said no parts were available and would call me to schedule an appointment when parts were available. it's been a months time now and i have still not heard back from toyota bountiful.
Takata recall. i'm handling this for my 82 year old mother. we have gotten nothing but the run around for months. we have called two different dealer in our area in an attempt to get the part(s) ordered to remedy the situation to no avail. in the meantime, my mother is forced to either operate a dangerous vehicle or park it. to me, this is totally unacceptable. i just called the dealer again, and got the same old story.

Takata recall. i received a recall notice from toyota in may. in june we were told the part was in stock and made an appointment to have it installed. when we got there on 6/13 they did not have the part. i have been calling toyota customer service and the dealer several times. according to the service manager andrew baer, they have received none of the replacement parts since june 13 (today is july 27). i understand the number of recalls is large, but why send out the notice if you don't have the parts? toyota seems very cavalier in their concern about something that has resulted in severe injuries and deaths.
Takata recall i called my local dealer, heritage toyota, and they informed me that "contrary to the letter you received, we do not have the parts to fix the recall." they took the information and put me on a waiting list that they estimated would be at least a couple of months before my vehicle could be repaired

Made an appointment at toyota dealer. had car inspected. have heard nothing about replacement of air bags, which have been recalled
