My entire car vibrates like shaking and auto shutoff sign that we use while red light comes ups / engine light comes ups. i have to park my car on the side turn off for 2 minutes and turn on back to get back to normal. i believe if i don't do that i might hit with the other car as car vibrates and not controllable. it happened almost 10 times & dealer just ignores as i am making this up.
Vehicle stalls while driving. braking and vehicle keeps going and or accelerating and vehicle does not even move. hard shifting when hot and cold. also vehicle has had multiple shifter issues and will not start this has happened on city streets and x on the highway.
I have recently been notified of a recall number u64. there is another one, u50, which is pending and i have not been notified yet. additionally, i have experienced while driving that the chrysler pacifica jerks when i am driving approximately 35 mph and or highway speed. i am concern that this chrysler pacifica 2017 is starting having problems in such an early stage.
While operating the vehicle at a low speed (10-15 mph) and making a left hand turn the vehicle lost power, including steering, and acceleration. the radio and accessories were still working. all the gear shift lights were flashing and a beeping noise occurred. on the dash a display said "change gears to start". i tried neutral and other gears, before going back to drive and it didn't do anything. i placed the car in park and it got stuck in park. i couldn't change the gear after that. i then pressed the on/off start button and it restarted and powered up the engine and i was able to drive the car home. i immediately called the dealership and left a voicemail. the first appointment available was june 27th, 2018 at 0830. the customer service rep said there was no log/warning or notification related to this issue. i contacted chrysler corp customer care at 1101 on june 27th, 2018 to notify them of the issue and that the dealership couldn't find anything wrong. chrysler corp customer care representative advised me to file a complaint with nhtsa and to ensure dealership files a star case. i then re-contacted the dealership at 1112 on june 27th, 2018 and advised them we wanted to open a star case. the car goes back to the dealership on tuesday july 3rd, and they will keep it and try and re-simulate the issue while we have a loner car.
Tl* the contact owns a 2017 chrysler pacifica. the contact used the remote start feature to start the vehicle and placed her child in the safety seat. upon closing the sliding door, the automatic locking feature engaged and locked all the doors while the key was still in the ignition. the remote start timed out and the vehicle turned off; however, the contact was unable to re-enter the vehicle. the fire department was contacted. the contact broke the rear window of the vehicle to remove the child from the vehicle. the contact stated that the vehicle should not lock independently with the key still in the ignition. crown chrysler dodge jeep ram greensboro (3710 w wendover ave, greensboro, nc 27407, (336) 790-9850) was called and the contact was informed to call the manufacturer. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified. the approximate failure mileage was 20,000. *dt*jb
Three separate but related incidents: (1) when driving down a neighborhood street at under 30 mph the van suddenly lost the ability to go forward. pushing the gas pedal to the floor resulted in nothing. since the van was going uphill, it began to decelerate at a slow pace. after a few seconds, the van regained the ability to move forward normally. (2) the van was stopped waiting to turn left. upon pressing the gas forward and moving out into traffic, the van lost it's ability to move forward about halfway through the turn. in addition, a "thud" could be felt that felt like the van had been hit from behind. however, nothing hit the van. the loss of acceleration exposed to oncoming traffic. in 3 to 5 seconds, the van regained normal ability. (3) when driving down a busy street in traffic at around 20mph, the van lost the ability to move forward and a "thud" was felt as if the van had been hit. again, it hadn't been hit. after 3-5 seconds, the van regained the ability to drive forward. our suspicion of the cause has been the transmission. this is due to the "thud" feeling and the loss of moving forward. however, on two separate trips to the dealer, the cause has been diagnosed as "abs module in plant mode". the abs module has been replaced but it does not fix the problem. it does not feel like the van is trying to brake on its own as the deceleration in speed is extremely gradual. rather, it feels like a loss of ability to propel/accelerate forward. the van is extremely unsafe to drive as you never know when you will lose the ability to move forward (and thus out of harm's way). these three incidents have occured in less than 150 miles of driving over the past 3 weeks ending 5/30/2018.
I had a problem with the electronic injection for more than 3 times, and a piece that was solved was replaced. a short time later, on my alternator, it had to be changed. now i'm having trouble with my air conditioner, which freezes and stops to freeze suddenly. probably an electrical problem or some part that does not start and does not start the compressor.
My 2017 chrysler pacifica has over 22,000 miles on it. about a month ago, i started experiencing hard shifts, jerks, mini-stalls when accelerating. it has happened while coasting in traffic, accelerating from red lights, stop signs, and merging into traffic! i believe its 2-3 gear shift. i feel the rpms drop down to nothing and spike. it feels like being hit from behind and getting whiplash. its very powerful and frightening. having two kids in carseats when his happens is scary! the dealership hasn't been able to reproduce to problem (even on a drive along) and they say they can't do anything about it until a check engine lights comes on. warranty is up in 14,000 miles - this needs to be fixed by then. latest occurrence was this morning accelerating from a stop.
On may 9, 2018 i shifted from park to drive, with my foot on the brake, while my 10 year old son was getting into the van. the door automatically closed, he panicked as he saw it closing and tried to jump out- the door closed on him and he was stuck for 30 seconds to 1 minute. the door was not responsive to opening by pushing the button and finally re-opened when i put it back in park. it left a bruise on his arm for approximately 10 days, he was not injured. chrysler investigated the incident but could not replicate the problem. in addition, the van will hard knock/shift, usually at low speeds and has stalled out while attempting to accelerate in traffic multiple times. this is a major safety concern. this started happening after it was taken in to get the safety recall transmission update. chrysler cannot replicate this problem and has no stored data in the computer showing problems have occurred. i am deeply concerned with these issues and the safety of my vehicle. while i am satisfied with the level of concern and response chrysler provided due to the door incident, i think there are many improvements that need to be made to make this vehicle safer. i have owned multiple vans and can say that the mechanical doors on this van are very slow to react to objects in the way of closing and will close very hard before re-opening. the shifting issue is very, very concerning and chrysler's lack of concern regarding the issue is even more concerning.
The lane keep assistant (lanesense) system went offline and stated it needed service. took to the dealer and they stated the lower front camera needed to be replaced. when the dealer was asked if the problem is common, they could not answer. this is the same part on every fiat chrysler of america vehicle with this feature. this system has the ability to take the control of the vehicle from the driver and direct the vehicle in the appropriate direction. if this item is functioning incorrectly, it has the potential to steer the vehicle into other vehicles and on coming traffic. this feature failed while the vehicle was in motion at near highway speeds (55 mph) in heavy traffic.
Your 2017 chrysler pacifica is a piece of crap. it stinks like crap because the air stinks when it comes out of the vents almost all the time. we already paid $75 to replace the filter. less than 6 months later we're having this exact same issue. i see that it may be mold or something according to other complaints on your website. i am allergic to mold and it's tmaking me sick. i don't think we should have to fix it again and i want it fixed permanently. what do you plan on doing about this? i know that it's a well known problem that occurs often because i've seen complaints online about it.
We have had a few continuing problems since the original purchase of a 2017 chrysler pacifica braunability van. the car has had electrical issues and on 3 or 4 occasions has suddenly shut off or stopped working. one time may have been related to a car accident my husband was in. he collided with another car in 2018, immediately after the accident the car was not running, but he hadn't turned it off. it started back up again but this happened 2 or 3 times this year with different electrical features not working making the car inoperable at times. in addition, the air conditioning system has continuously been dysfunctional. we have had it to the dealership a few times for this problem. most recently it was fixed a couple months ago and it is again not working.
Purchased vehicle in august 2017 and have been experiencing problems since then. grinding noise started to occur around 1000 miles. it would occur intermittently around surface street driving speeds. sound appeared to come from driver side. harder grinding noise occurred around 7000 miles intermittently, with it occurring both in cruise control and out of cruise control. lurching forward when shifting gears also occurred around the 1000 mile mark. was told this was "normal". but how can it be normal when the vehicle is brand new. was told the softer grinding noise and louder grinding noise were both normal and result of power steering. however, i wasn't ever steering when the sounds occurred. lastly, the biggest complaint is that the car stalled twice around 13,000 miles. both times at the stop-light (thank god) and accelerating. first time the entire electrical component shut off. placed the car into park and pushed the "start" button again. the second time the car would not accelerated, instead lurched forward as if we were being rear-ended, made a loud clunk noise and just stopped. both times no accidents occurred thank god. regardless, the safety of my family should not at this much risk when we purposely bought a brand new vehicle with all safety features.
My van has stalled out on me 3 times now and the dealership keeps tell nothing comes up on their computer and it might be the auto/start battery
My vehicle has a recall notice u01 from chrysler and a letter was delivered that it was completed after the recall was issued on january 11th 2018. the car has never been to any dealers and the letter claims that this was completed 2/18/18. i believe that they are sending false notices about recalls being completed without them actually being completed. as a matter of fact, we did experience this complete stall as described in the recall.
My new pacifica seems to have problems with the forward collision avoidance system. three times while driving at low speed with no car in front of me the car made a loud alarm and big red letters "brake!" appeared on my dash. this occurred at low speed on suburban roads (20-40 mph). it was startling. i could not figure out why this was happening. then i started getting a notice on my dash that would say "acc/fcw sensor is dirty and needs to be wiped off and that the "acc/fcw system was disabled". i thought at first that this was the problem however, this has continued intermittently even when the sensors are wiped off. finally, while travelling at high speed on the interstate, we were nearly in a collision only avoided by swerving into the next lane. although we almost hit the car in front of us, the pacifica had no reaction: no alarm, no "brake!" light, no braking, nothing. i took it into the dealer who said they could not reproduce the problem and therefore could not do anything for me. i showed them on their own forum that this was a known issue, but to no avail. i am very concerned about not having the safety features for which i paid. i am disgusted by the lack of concern from dick hannah chrysler in vancouver wa.
Uconnect app 'travel link' displays pop-up weather alerts while driving. alerts do not automatically go away and block navigation screen. must click ok or red x to close. very distracting while driving. need uconnect option to disable weather alerts.
Leased a new pacifica a few months ago. around the end of february the vehicle stalled while parked. then while starting up the vehicle in march the vehicle information system screen shut off for no reason, this included sensors, back up cameras , nav , climate, radio etc.
I was driving straight on a 25 mph on a city street. within several seconds, my radio, dash lights and engine shut down and the car came to a complete stop. i could not turn my hazard lights on. after several attempts i was able to restart the car and drive it normally.
My vehicle has been stalling and till now chrysler has not provided any update although a recall notice has been issued. i called fca and they said they are not aware of the recall. it appears that they are not taking the recall issued by the government seriously.
Transmission shifts very hard coming out of first. sometimes when the transmission shifts hard it throws a emergency brake, which causes the vehicle to stop. no matter at a 20 mph or 50mph. not a safe vehicle for a family. sliding doors will lock up at times and will not open or shut. also, the navigation screen rather it's the radio, nav, air shuts completely down/freezes up along with the tvs at times.
My 2017 pacifica shutt off on me while i was in the middle of traffic, i was in bumper traffic and had stopped for a few seconds then as traffic started to move i took my foot off the brake and the van shutt off. the brake became very stiff, turned car off to restart and didn't do anything, tried a second time to turn on and it worked. then the following day after dropping my boys at school i came to a red light and i was getting ready to come to a stop when the light turned green and i went to step on the gas pedal and the car jerked .
Cpsc: we are owners of two (2) diono radian rxt carseats that we have installed in our 2017 chrysler pacifica. the car seats appear to be incompatible with our vehicle-- the seats come loose easily, move around back to front and side to side significantly in the seat. *dt *js *tr
Vehicle stalled multiple times at low speeds and the dealer has no fix for it. i don't want to drive the vehicle and prefer if chrysler buys it back. attached are some pictures i took of the message it displayed when stalled
Chrysler dealership is apparently claiming to make repair for the sudden stalling recall, without doing the work. on mopar.com it shows i had an update for this on jan 11, 2018. i had an appointment for an oil change that day, but i canceled it and haven't been in since. there is no way they updated my van then or later, since the vehicle wasn't there. yet nhtsa shows no open recalls on my vehicle, and mopar shows the recall work done on a day that is impossible.
For the past year the car jerks forward and stalls while driving. especially after going from a stop. sometimes it is so bad, you violently jerk forward. have broughten to dealer twice for this. once they did a softward update, that did not help. second time they said it was normal
The vehicles transmission is slipping. it happens on gears first to 2nd then again on 2nd to third with hard shifting. it has felt as if another vehicle has hit you from behind. it happens when the vehicle is in motion and especially when you let off the accelerator. it happens very consistently.
On multiple occasions after starting the ignition, the gear unexpectedly slipped from park (stationary position) to reverse after starting the ignition. most recently on christmas day this occurred with my daughter and 4 month old granddaughter in the car resulting in rear collision and damage to the body of the vehilcle. insurance claim is currently in progress.
The left slider passenger door will not stay closed. if the door is opened and then shut, it will re-open. there is no way to keep it closed once it has been opened. this obviously happens when the vehicle is stationary.
As my vehicle accelerates there is hesitation and then the car lurches. this occurs mostly when coming from a complete stop. the dealer has been unable to find any "codes' related to this. in addition, on december 11, 2017, the car hesitated and then lurched forward with such force that my head hit the headrest and i thought my car was hit from behind.
My 2017 pacifica is having the following transmission issues: hesitation to shift gears, hard shifts sometimes to the extent that you feel as though you have been rear ended. the hesitations sometimes occur when pulling out onto a busy road which is a huge safety issue. i have had my van in the shop 3 times and chrysler is unable to cure the problem. these transmission problems cannot not be reproduced in comman. i never know when it is going to happen. the hesitation usually happens from a stop or very low speed. the hard shift is usually when i am traveling below 45mph.
My van on numerous occasions will accelerate while i'm driving and i cannot get it to stop unless i pull over and shut off. on two separate occasions i was going down a hill and the van accelerated and then shutoff on its own. the acceleration noise was so loud. i glided down the rest of the hill and had to pull over and restart. i've been bringing it to dealer for this issue several times and nothing is being done. saying they can't duplicate. there have been other issues also.
While driving with my family, including three small children, the vehicle shut itself off. no electrical, power steering, power brakes or engine. i was able to get it started again after coming to a stop. afterwards the screen said that the start/stop system was disabled.
My wife and i were returning from a trip to an appointment around 2:30 in the afternoon. we just exited off interstate 395 and were merging into traffic heading east on duke street. the light changed to yellow and required us to stop more aggressively than i typically would. we were traveling in a straight line and had to decelerate from 20 mph to complete stop within a matter of approximately 10 feet. once our van came to a complete stop the car shut off. i didn't notice any message on the screen, but when i released the brake pedal, the vehicle started again. afterwards, i thought back to the previous stop and thought i noticed some hesitation in acceleration, but didn't realize it until afterwards. the car was only purchased a month and a half ago and was purchased new. unfortunately i do not have any photo evidence of the circumstances and the vehicle did not present a check engine light. the dealer we purchased from stated they didn't know what we were talking about, but offered we make an appointment and they would check the vehicle.
Vehicle shuts off at stop lights/signs.this has happened three times while stationary.had to place transmission in park and restart.
My wife was driving this van with two kids when the van stalled while turning. an extremely dangerous situation.
The first time i drove the vehicle it almost stalled making a left into oncoming traffic. the auto start stop was shut down by me at the next intersection. then the start stop light came on the warning system display. i have had problems with the auto start stop system from first day of ownership and has been to the dealer 4 times with about 350 miles on it. another time the vehicle had to be towed to the dealer as it would not start at all and the dash said service shifter. i have asked the dealer to replace the car and they said they will ask chrysler, as i bought it for my wife and she is afraid to drive it. it is the touring l model. i have had two different loaner pacificas without auto start stop, with no issues. i requested the regional representative call me about this safety issue on a survey form but no response.
Transmission-has very jerky operation at 1-2 or 2-3 shift, acts like it goes into park or lower gearwith a lurch. feel like you have been rear ended. very confused operation that lots of chrysler, dodge, jeep customers have reported.dealer updated tcm with latest software, problem still exists. dealer states the lurching when accelerating and letting off on the gas is not a problem, i disagree and think it is a safety problem with all fiat vehicles using the new 9 speed transmission.this has happened multiple(more than 20 times) in the first year of ownership.
Infotainment screen freezes and/or jumps around and will not let the user change temperature controls, adjust radio functions, allow hands-free calls, or accept any inputs at all. this creates a distracting and extremely frustrating experience with absolutely no way to control the system. this issue has been present since purchasing the vehicle in march2017. even after notifying fca about the issue through the dealer, uconnect web customer service portal, and chrysler cares contacts it is still unresolved. a software update releases in late sept 2017 failed to correct the issue.
While exiting a car wash the rear sunroof was blown out. the vehicle was moving slowly through the car wash and was under the dryer when it happened. there was a thump and small pieces of safety glass were blown over the front of the vehicle. the manager speculated that maybe a rock blew out of the dryer. it is currently at a collision center where the mechanic has vacuumed the glass out of the back seat and is looking for any foreign objects. i don't think there were any issues with the glass previously. i have never had a problem with it. fortunately no one was injured.
Minivan was at a stoplight and turned off without warnings. this just happened 30 mins ago. vehicle asked to be put in park and hit brake to start engine. engine started parked at nearest parking lot and called dealer. dealer 2 miles away no codes came up on scan that was done. ..updated 11/07/17 *bf updated 11/09/2017*js
Right sliding door does not close on own. it stalls out and has to be manually closed. this problem started in october 2017 and continues to the present.
I was driving and was turning into my driveway and my van completely shut off and i had nothing. i had a message on my dash that said to put my vehicle in park. i did that then i attempted to start my van again cause i had not pulled completely in the driveway yet. i had a 1/2 tank of gas also and had no warning lights come on. it was like i completely lost everything and the van just shut off. i did contact the local chrysler and they could not find anything wrong or get the van to duplicate the problem. they had told me i was fine to drive and if it happened again to let them know. my van only had about 16000 miles on it at the time.

Vehicle intermittently won't start. the push button is hard even with brake depressed. power is adequate to the vehicle. the vehicle is turned off. has happened several times.
While driving on a city street at about 35mph the engine stalled . the dashboard alarm was beeping and "d" was flashing. i was able to pull over and stop and the dash displayed the message - put in "p" to start engine -. car did not start the first time i tried, the second time it started. thankful this dangerous incident did not occur while in heavy traffic or on a interstate....updated 10/30/17 *bf updated 11/06/2017*js
This car has had multiple stalls, whereas when driving, the engine will shut down and steering be affected. this has happened in the middle of an intersection with my children in the car. there are no warning signs that this will happen, the car just suddenly becomes inoperable. you have to place in park for 30 seconds and then restart the car. this car is extremely dangerous to drive. the diagnostic is a fuel pressure sensor, but further research indicates this is a widespread problem that chrysler may be aware of. ..updated 10/25/17 *bf
Intermittent uconnect functionality. screen would go dark, navigation non responsive, random accessory controls non responsive, the chrysler help button & 911 button was non responsive. increased rpm at ideal, parked or at break. break fade & random lurching at traffic stops. after about 2 weeks complete break failure & all other electrical components observed failed. a phone call to chrysler on personnel phone resulted in chrysler sending a flatbed wrecker for transport to dealer service center in lebanon, ohio. fortunately it all happened 2 days before a trip over the smokey mountains, instead of while actually crossing the mountains. after repairs at lebanon, ohio chrysler. a vague description from service center that it was an electrical system failure & they replaced battery. all events listed above during the 2 weeks occurred during normal driving in town & on highway.
Vehicle shut off while driving down the road. happened twice since owning the vehicle 7/15/17 & 9/9/17. vehicle dashboard said "stop and shift to park". we took to dealership and they said they couldn't replicate program.
