I purchased the 2007 jeep wrangler used with 77, 000 miles on it. i now have 84500. every single time i fill up with gas, once a week, it overflows out of the end spilling on the fender, driver side and ground. i have learned never to stand near it. since getting soaked a few times.
2018 jeep jl unlimited 3.6l automatic transmission, 750 total miles. on 9/12/2018, transmission failed and vehicle was towed to dealership (mckay's dodge/jeep, waite park, mn). when vehicle was lowered by tow truck, about 1 liter of gasoline poured down over the exhaust system on the right rear (passenger) and onto the service bay floor. the vehicle had a nearly full gas tank at the time of the tow. if the vehicle had been driven to the dealership and the gasoline had dumped as much volume onto the muffler and exhaust system...both the vehicle and the dealership would have most likely burned. the vehicle is presently at the dealership in waite park, mn *dt *tr *bf updated 10/31/18*jb
Gasoline overflows out of vehicle during fuel fill up. this occurs at various gas stations using different pumps. *tr
I own a 2005 jeep wrangler unlimited (lj) that i purchased in march of this year. from day 1, like many others, when i fill the vehicle's fuel tank, the pump will not shut off, causing fuel to spray / spill out and run down the body onto the ground. this is obviously a fire and environmental hazard and needs to be checked into. don't even get me started on the death wobble. *tr
When fueling vehicle fuel spits back all over handle, vehicle and ground. happens every time fuel is pumped. design flaw that has been ignored by chrysler forever. fix requires fuel tank replacement. *tr
Whenever i go to the gas station to fill up with gas, one of two things happens; either it doesn't automatically cutoff and gas spills out onto my fender/wheel, or it does the opposite....continues to click off over and over and over again and i am unable to fill my tank. i have tried getting gas at several different stations now, and it does it at all of them. *tr
I recently bought a 2010 jeep wrangler and found that it has a fuel back flow issue. every time i refuel, the gasoline blows back out upon removal of the gas nozzle. gasoline gets on the ground, on me, as well as the paint and bumper of the vehicle. this appears to be a safety problem, let alone an environmental hazard. when inquiring into the fix i have been told that the entire gas tank assembly needs to be replaced at quite a high cost. (of course my jeep is out of warranty.) due to the potential liability i wouldn't be surprised if there's not a class action lawsuit impending. *tr
Fuel spillage during fill up, happens every time. fuel gushes out forcefully upon tank reaching its capacity. *tr
Problem is gas spilling from my jeep every time during fueling. somehow, it is not triggering the automatic shut-off valve causing fuel gashing everywhere. i never had this problem before and it only started last month. i did not alter anything on my vehicle and no accidents of any type. i'm not sure where the problem is but what i know is that this failure could be a potential safety problem if not resolved. *tr
