Intermittently the brake pedal will be very stiff when starting the vehicle and backing out. after a few miles it will ease up. but if a sudden stop is needed it is hard to push down again. other times it functions normally. i noticed this on the test drive of the vehicle but the dealer said they didn't see any issues i bought this car around march of 2019. this problem has been ongoing intermittently
The car has issues starting up and when you try to start the car the brake become stiff and the car will not start but will crank. also as i was driving the car cuts off without warning or when i stop at the red light the car just cuts off and i have to put it in park turn the car off and wait and restart after 5 minutes and it starts with no issues

I purchased a used 2013 jeep 2 years ago at novak motors in farmingdale, ny. they told me i needed to go to a jeep dealership to get the brake recall taken care of. i tried calling the closest jeep dealership to my work location at 642 w main street, riverhead, ny and spoke with martha? in the service department today and she said it would be several weeks before the next available appointment. when i asked her if i have warranty work, an open campaign that needed to be fixed, would i be able to get in sooner? the woman then replied to me that they were no longer accepting any new customers at all!

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 jeep grand cherokee. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign numbers: 15v879000 (electrical system, interior lighting), 17v435000 (electrical system), and 17v572000 (service brakes, service brakes, hydraulic). while driving approximately 15 mph, the alternator indicator illuminated and the vehicle lost power and shut down. the vehicle was towed to mall of georgia chrysler, dodge, jeep (4345 buford dr, buford, ga 30518, 770-945-0839) where the dealer provided options to repair the failure with an aftermarket part or wait for two weeks for full recall repairs. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 155,000. parts distribution disconnect.
While driving my car in the city, i experienced a sudden engine shutdown, and entirely lost control over the car (steering, breaks etc.) the car was towed to chrysler's certified garage, where the malfunction was identified as a failure of the fuel pump relay (the same relay which was already been replaced, as part of recall r09). the garage also re-confirmed that this relay has been replaced under the recall, in 2015. the meaning of this failure demonstrates that practically, replacing the unit under recall r09 has not solved the problem and the risk is still there! i have reported this incident to fca in europe, and was responded that this failure "could happen in 5 years old car" and therefore, there is no safety issue that requires them to warn other owners. however, i have found on-line lots of similar complaints, most of them in the us, indicating that the failure of the replaced fuel relay is common, and that fca do not take responsibility. see the link below: http://www.carproblemzoo.com/jeep/grandcherokee/other-fuel-system-pump-problems.php i would like to emphasize that r09 (nhtsa safety issued id #15v115 https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls?nhtsaid=15v115#recalls360) refers to 5 years old cars, and the failure that ...

Have tried 3 times to take the car to a jeep dealer and they are unable to do the recall repair due to lack of qualified mechanics to do the recall. one dealer gave me a confirmed appointment and after waiting 3 hours for my vehicle, they said they didn't have enough mechanics to repair it that day. i had to leave with the car in the same condition i brought it in. i cannot afford to loose any more work and they tell me they don't give loaner cars for recalls. i will never buy a jeep again. their dealers are very unreliable and don't honor their service appointments even when you are waiting 3 hours for the car. my vehicle's recalls are a safety concern. i still have to pay the bank my monthly installment even if the car is not safe because i must honor my contract with the bank. how about jeep dealers honoring their contracts with the factory.
