I have had a problem with my car stalling randomly since the day i bought it brand new off the lot. i have been complaining to the dealership for 8 years now and they have never once offered to fix it. they kept telling me nothing was wrong with my car. the last time i took my car in for randomly stalling (while on the freeway), my warrenty has just expired and then they told me i had to replace my entire fuel pump system. now a few weeks ago i received a recall about my fuel pump system saying do not drive your vehicle beaucse its unsafe. the manufacture has told me they will not supply me with a rental car, public transportation pass nor will they reimburse me for rideshare services. i have had nothing be problem after problem with this car i bought brand new off the lot. now they are telling me not to drive it until its fixed but cant tell me when they can fix it. this is absurd. my dash board in my car also was defective (the leather covering it shrunk and peeled up). the manufacture told me it was "cosmetic" and ...

My grand cherokee has stalled several dozen times over the past few years and the dealer can't fix it. the car stalls when slowing to a stop or turning through an intersection but we can't duplicate the problem at the service center. the dealer kept the car for nearly a month trying to duplicate the problem but could not, but i have kept records over the past year of all stalls and the conditions and the only condition that remains constant is that i am quickly braking from 40 mph or faster or i am braking while turning. initially it only occurred while turning left, but now it occurs while turning right and while braking quickly while going straight. i have been in several near misses due to losing power steering and brakes and i am to the point to where i can't allow anyone but me to drive the car due to the safety factor. twice i almost hit a car while turning and once a big rig almost hit me in the side as the car stalled mid-intersection of a six lane highway. the car is still under chrysler's ...

Tl* the contact owns a 2012 jeep grand cherokee. while driving 35 mph, the engine stalled and all the indicators on the instrument panel illuminated. the contact was able to restart the vehicle and drive home. the contact received a recall notification for nhtsa campaign number: 19v813000 (fuel pump). the contact spoke with an unknown dealer and was informed to wait on the recall. the manufacturer was contacted and stated that the part was not available for the repair and advised the contact that they may need to replace the fuel pump; however, it may not correct the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was not available. vin tool confirms parts not available. Vehicle has had starting problems and stalling problems on numerous occasions since december 2019. i believe these are related to the recall issued on this vehicle last december 2019. complaint is the chrysler corporation is unwilling to make a temporary fix as promised until the "vehicle is totally dead." stalling on the highway in the middle of rush hour is a safety issue/hazard. most recent incident: sunday-2-2-2020, vehicle would not start for five hours.

Email 2 of 2 here are my proposed solutions: #1 corporate pays the dealership to fix the recall problem with the fuel pump relay issue now with the current parts they have and then the dealer will fix it again when you get the correct recall parts in. you as chrysler can sort it out with the dealer and i as the customer am not asked to pay for a recall. #2 if my car is not able to be repaired until the recall parts are available, then provide me with a loaner car until my car is repaired. i expect to be contacted by end of business day with your proposed resolution. Chrysler made a recall on the fuel pump relay on nov 14, 2019. on nov 18, 2019 my vehicle completely stopped in the middle of the street and did so numerous time during the week. luckily, i was never on the highway went it happened. i called chrysler they informed me it was one of the vehicles in the recall, however they did not have a solution at the moment and i had to wait until jan 2020. i could not drive a vehicle in that condition, so i took it to my mechanic. i called chrysler to inform them of this and they said to just submit the proof of the service. however, when i did submit the proof they declined it stating chrysler had not updated the recall and there were no parts. i should get reimbursed for the recall.

The 2012 jeep grand cherokee overland i purchased two years ago has started to completely stall while driving causing the power steering to not function as well as the brakes. this engine power turns off randomly at around 10-15 mph (when making turns, stopping and/or accelerating) but there are no warning lights that appear on the dash. all electrical power to the car still functions and the engine stall is not noticeable until applying pressure to the brakes or trying to steer the wheels. the first incident was (easter) 28 april 2019. the car shut off around 10 miles per hour as i made a left turn crossing the incoming lane into a parking lot. luckily there was no car coming or a serious accident would have resulted. the frequency of these types of stalls have become greater. they are happening at least once a week without any type of warning. the most recent incident was november 7th 2019. this vehicle was released from the dealership on november 1st, 2019. the vehicle has been taken to the dealership multiple times to find the problem as well as maintenance. nothing has been found that would cause this. the dealership says the ...

Engine stalled while in motion on us highway 101 on 11/7/19; fortunately no crash occurred. we took into mechanic at jeep santa maria; they had it all week from 11/8/19 to 11/15/19 and said it was fine. it appears this was caused by a faulty part that was installed pursuant to a previous recall that fca has been investigating since 2018. we are anxious to have this open nhtsa campaign number:19v813000 resolved asap.

Recall notice v-62 since 11/01/2019 fuel pump relay if bad car will stop cause a crash

There has been a sporadic issue when trying to start my vehicle where it'll make an attempt to turn over and get started but it's getting stuck as if it's maybe not catching the correct amount of fuel. i've also experienced seat belt issues with my seat belt light on and beeping as if it's not on but it would already be properly buckled in. i also had an issue with my engine cooling system that was cause some sort of leak

When the car is stationary it will not start when the button is pushed. the car shudders and the computer freezes. it can only start when the key is used in place of the push button. it seems as if the starter is not relaying to the fuel pump. this car underwent a big recall in march of 2017. the fuel pump, fuse box, battery and alternator were replaced. it was at the dealers for three weeks. the jeep broke down and had smoke coming from under the hood. unfortunately, we received the recall notice three days after the problem occurred, so we had taken it to our mechanic. then we had to have an additional tow to the dealership. (recall r09)

There was a recall for the fuel pump relay back in 2015. mine was replaced in april of 2016 then again in 2017, 2018, and now once again needs to be replaced. i have paid for a new one and labor and its still faulty and happens about a year later every time.
