My grand cherokee has stalled several dozen times over the past few years and the dealer can't fix it. the car stalls when slowing to a stop or turning through an intersection but we can't duplicate the problem at the service center. the dealer kept the car for nearly a month trying to duplicate the problem but could not, but i have kept records over the past year of all stalls and the conditions and the only condition that remains constant is that i am quickly braking from 40 mph or faster or i am braking while turning. initially it only occurred while turning left, but now it occurs while turning right and while braking quickly while going straight. i have been in several near misses due to losing power steering and brakes and i am to the point to where i can't allow anyone but me to drive the car due to the safety factor. twice i almost hit a car while turning and once a big rig almost hit me in the side as the car stalled mid-intersection of a six lane highway. the car is still under chrysler's ...

Altanater caught on fire while driving resulting in damages
Chrysler made a recall on the fuel pump relay on nov 14, 2019. on nov 18, 2019 my vehicle completely stopped in the middle of the street and did so numerous time during the week. luckily, i was never on the highway went it happened. i called chrysler they informed me it was one of the vehicles in the recall, however they did not have a solution at the moment and i had to wait until jan 2020. i could not drive a vehicle in that condition, so i took it to my mechanic. i called chrysler to inform them of this and they said to just submit the proof of the service. however, when i did submit the proof they declined it stating chrysler had not updated the recall and there were no parts. i should get reimbursed for the recall.
The 2012 jeep grand cherokee overland i purchased two years ago has started to completely stall while driving causing the power steering to not function as well as the brakes. this engine power turns off randomly at around 10-15 mph (when making turns, stopping and/or accelerating) but there are no warning lights that appear on the dash. all electrical power to the car still functions and the engine stall is not noticeable until applying pressure to the brakes or trying to steer the wheels. the first incident was (easter) 28 april 2019. the car shut off around 10 miles per hour as i made a left turn crossing the incoming lane into a parking lot. luckily there was no car coming or a serious accident would have resulted. the frequency of these types of stalls have become greater. they are happening at least once a week without any type of warning. the most recent incident was november 7th 2019. this vehicle was released from the dealership on november 1st, 2019. the vehicle has been taken to the dealership multiple times to find the problem as well as maintenance. nothing has been found that would cause this. the dealership says the ...
Engine stalled while in motion on us highway 101 on 11/7/19; fortunately no crash occurred. we took into mechanic at jeep santa maria; they had it all week from 11/8/19 to 11/15/19 and said it was fine. it appears this was caused by a faulty part that was installed pursuant to a previous recall that fca has been investigating since 2018. we are anxious to have this open nhtsa campaign number:19v813000 resolved asap.
I was pulling into a parking spot and transitioning the vehicle to park when the vehicle accelerated. i had my foot pressed firmly on the brake but it did not stop and it went up and over a parking barrier into another parked vehicle.
Vehicle shuts off within minutes of starting while stationary
I was driving on the highway on 7/21/19 and my 2012 jeep grand cherokee's engine seized. the car had to be towed and now jeep has a 2 month waiting list for the hemi motor (which apparently this is a known problem for - that is why the waiting list is so long). it will be over $8000 to fix and i still owe on the loan for the car that i have had less than 3 years. if hemi motors are a problem, jeep should make them with v6 not the hemi v8 motors. there is no recall for this as of now. i am stuck without a vehicle to get to work and a large loan for a useless jeep that i can't drive. it has 90,000 miles on it. why is jeep allowed to continue to make these if they are such issues. why is there not a recall on hemi engines in jeeps? then when you try to call jeep corporate they claim they return calls once a week (which they don't) and the customer service reps told me "thing happen". this is a terrible ...
I recently purchased this vehicle and it completely shuts off unexpectedly. when it does it affects both the braking and the steering. the first time i was stopped at a light and was an easy fix but the 2nd time i was getting off an exit around 50 mph. i have young children and now i am scared to drive them around in it. i know in not the only one this is happens, there's complaints all over the internet. there should be a recall before someone dies.
My jeep has an ignition/starting problem. it will try to start but just keeps turning over. after 10 seconds it will stop then it will usually start after. online it says the timp could be the problem.
I have less than 76k miles on my jeep. i have been the only owner, taking exceptional care of my jeep, always getting oil changes on time and maintenance with very few city miles on my jeep and i am having to pay 10k for a new motor and camshaft.
My engine light has decided to light up in my jeep randomly one day after starting it. after scanning it, it shows code p0522. the research i have done has shown it usually shows the oil light when it is that code. so as a result, i have had my oil changed again and i have ordered a oil pressure sensor/sender hoping that will fix all my problems which will be installed next sunday (7/7/2019). i also had to change the water pump because it had a crack in it, the thermostat just for precautionary measures, and the belt because it had a tear in it about half the size of the width. all of this to try to figure out the problem with the engine light and the scanner showing the code p0522. so we will see if that actually fixes the problem.
My vehicle has decided to start bogging around 35mph. it has continually done this for a week and has decided to start driving horrible. it does not drive like it has been. we are going to check what the problem might be sunday (7/7/2019) and attempt to fix. my jeep is no longer covered under warranty.
