I have been trying to get this fixed since 4/2018 all star ford in prairieville la repeatedly tells me it will take 60 to 90 days for parts to arrive. i have gone all this time without the use of the car.any suggestions?
I have called twice the ford sames dealership in bastrop tx to get this repair done. the first time i actually went in as i was informed to do so. waited over an hour to be informed that the part wasn't in the shop and they would call when it was. i have now called to get both airbags repaired as each time i take off i lose pay. are you going to pay for my time off or a rental car? i was informed by the dealership that the parts were on backorder and that there was no eta and as soon as they were available they would call me. i made the call on august 27, 2018 here it is october 3 with still no call back. how am i supposed to get the repairs done when the repair shop can't get the parts in and call their customers!!!

The passenger side airbag deployed while i was driving the vehicle. the vehicle was not involved in an accident nor did it contact any object, vehicle or otherwise. i was simply driving the vehicle at the posted speed, under dry conditions, on a straight asphalt 2 lane public road when the passenger airbag deployed. i contacted my local ford dealer and explained what happened. the ford dealer instructed me to bring the vehicle to the dealer where they would service it by replacing the airbag and defective inflator, whereby the inflator is under a recall. after dropping off my vehicle i was contacted by the dealer to tell me ford motor company would not repair or replace the airbag module; and it was my (the consumer) responsibility to replace the airbag module.
I am reporting shimmy in front due to struts. i researched and noticed the struts are being recalled and replaced for this model of ford mustang. i would like to have these front struts replaced under the nhtsa recal, along with a passenger rear tire monitor. i can not get the tire monitor light to go off. my cell number is (xxxxx). also the passenger air bag is not operative parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
Since february 2017, i have written regularly via email with the service manager of pacifico ford of philadelphia pa about having nhtsa recall 16v384 (passenger airbag) applied to my vehicle, a 2007 mustang shelby gt. over a period of 17 months, i have noticed responses that indicate the dealer is either overwhelmed with these inquiries, is having trouble getting parts to satisfy the government's recall, or is otherwise unwilling or unable to perform them. it has been 17 months since i have asked the dealer about applying this recall. it has been 25 months since recall 16v384 was issued by the government. ford motor company has sent me a letter indicating that i must avoid placing passengers in the front passenger seat. i need nhtsa's help.
Dealer was contacted for replacement of passenger airbag. dealer estimates it will be at least 6 months until the repair can be made. ford is providing a rental vehicle, but driver must be at least 21 years old or 18 years old with a waiver. problem: my daughter is 17 and 6+ month waiting period is unacceptable.
Ford continues to mail my recall notices to an address that i have never lived at. this is my 2nd complaint to you about this matter. ford uses a 3rd party to obtain their mailing information and there seems to be no way to change my address. they claim that they use the dmv registration records but my renewals are mailed to me at my correct address. you need to investigate how many ford owners are not getting notified about their recalls due to ford's mismanagement of this issue.
I was informed via letter dated march 2018 by ford motor company, dearborn, mi that the parts for recall 16s26 were now available and ford motor company has authorized my dealer to replace the passenger air bag, i called right away and again today june 8,2018 and am told the parts are not available and they didn't even care to take my name or any info to call me, tired of waiting,
Takata recall i have made several attempts to have the airbags replaced at multiple ford dealerships since 2017, and have been unsuccessful in getting the repairs made. recently the vehicle was in a head on accident (impacted the drivers side of an acura) with another vehicle, while going approx 45 mph, and the airbags failed to deploy during this incident which is an issue that should have been corrected by the recall being repaired. *dsy - (recall related incident) ts
Takata recall called starting in may 2018 labelle ford in labelle, fl to arrange the recall repair and was continually placed and left on hold or hung up after notifying them it was about the recall. in june 2018 i called sam galloway ford in ft. myers, fl and they took my information and said they would call when they had parts. as of november 1 2018 i have not got a response from them. i continually receive notifications from ford claiming that parts are in and to schedule the repairs, yet the dealer claims no parts available yet. enough is enough.

Lakewood ford replaced my recalled airbag with a newer recalled airbag. i was in a car accident, may 11, 2018 on fairbanks & tst, 0600am, this airbag over exploded, and burns. i have serious injuries from this airbag. my hands were burned, left wrist broken, all fingers, wrists sprained & burned, still soar. tbi, 2+years to heal. burned through my coat, clothes and brazier, burning my breasts. my injuries are too many to list, including ptsd, severely. the doctors said this was like a grenade blowing up in my face, as bad as a military injury. could not chew food for months, caused copd, also. i have alot of pictures and doctors visits, xrays, catscans, me is, etc
Takata recall i keep getting a recall letter for the airbag of my ford mustang. i live in the city of oxnard and everytime i get this letter, i called my ford dealership in oxnard and they never have the part. i am always told that they run of it and until next month but next month it is the same issue. i started to believe they do not even have any parts at all and are probably telling all of the customer the same story. i do not know, but if you open an investigation you will know. i just hope i do not get in any car accidents as i have what is known "glass bones" and an airbag for me will make all the difference between life and death. please follow up with ford dealership on getting parts for recall 16s26/nhtsa recall 16-v-384. it is just so hard to believe that i have been trying to get this done for over a year and i am still hearing the same story from them. they do have my cellphone number and my question is why will they not call me once the part is received. i called but they never have it as stated before.
Takata recall ford has not supplied the dealer with airbag for my vehicle, it's been 3 years of notices but no replacement because dealers don't have airbag. ford keeps sending notices to me and i try to schedule but no dealer has airbag. ford lies about free replacement. ford should provide service if sending emails and loaners to all customers...3 years of notices--still no airbag replacement!!!!!
Tl* takata recall. the contact owns a 2007 ford mustang. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags). the contact stated that the recall repair exceeded a reasonable amount of time. the contact called (larsen ford at (888) 318-8974) and was informed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. the dealer stated that they would call when the parts became available. the manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall repair. the contact had not experienced a failure. parts distribution disconnect.
Takata recall i received a letter from ford stating that parts were in stock for the airbag recall at my dealer. i made an appointment and brought my car to wynne ford taking time out of my day only to be told that they had only received 8 units and they were already gone. they had no idea when more parts would be available. it has been almost 2 years since the recall was announced and still no repairs available. i do not consider this timely corrective action. ford's temporary solution to the problem was to not let anyone ride in the front passenger seat. this is hardly a viable solution in a 4 passenger vehicle with a family of 4. when i called the ford help line i was directed to someone to whom english is not their native tongue. they were rude and unhelpful. i was finally able to get a loaner vehicle through the web site but this should not have taken 22 months for a temporary fix. ford is still turning out vehicles and they should have taken action using parts on hand instead of putting them in new vehicles.
Takata recall, i have tried repeatedly to scedule a repair with mak haik in georgetown texas to have this repair performed and keep getting the run around. in my last phone call they refused to schedule me for the repair. which is what they did a year ago.the service advisor said the parts shipped to them on april 9th but refused to schedule a future repair date.
Takata recall i bought this car 'new' in 2007. ford has never sent a recall notice to my correct address. ford has my correct address on file but they blame a 3rd party that uses dmv records. i have explained to them that the dmv has my correct address from vehicle registration, drivers license, and other state i.d. my recall notices are being sent to an address that i have never lived at and ford can not correct this situation. they have notes on this problem going back to 2012 when i moved from tarrant county to dallas county. they are sending my recall notices to grand prairie, texas. ford has stated via customer service and their recall department that there is nothing that they can do and that i need to contact the dmv.
We have attempted on multiple occassions to address a pending recall that ford company states the parts are in yet our local dealership says otherwise. i've been on hold with ford motor company for excessive times that i feel i need the assistance of someone else. can you please assist with getting us responses as to when the parts for my car will be available (since ford co says for me to call our dealer, yet the dealer continues to tell us the parts are not available yet).
Takata recall my 2007 mustang was sold new in tokyo japan and has now been imported to australia.i have owned it for 6 years and am concerned that the recall database may not include my car as it was sold in japan and it states on the database that it doesn't cover international products . my local dealer was very helpful and referred me to this web site and it shows that it has no recalls but i have noticed that all other 2007 mustangs in usa have been recalled is there any way that you could check out my vin as i have contacted ford australia as well and they called it a gray import and couldn't do anything to help me . this website is the only site that gives me an email address to try to get a definite answer . regards [xxx]. i have just tried filling in my address and it won't allow me to put australia in as a state or country so i will enter alaska as a state . if you reply to my email i would really appreciate it as i have no other alternatives and would hate it if the air bags were ever deployed and there was a problem . information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
Ford advised that they were ready to fix my airbags. i called 3 dealerships in my area and was told they had the parts for 2010-2017 to repair/ i called ford who connected me to another dealer outside my area. i finally told the local dealer who sid it will take 3-4 weeks to get the parts. then recd email from ford to take vehicle asap dealer does not have parts available as of 3-29-2018
I was notified that the air bags on the passenger side needed to be replaced. but was told by the ford dealership in wilson, nc that the part for the airbag wouldn't come in until the end of the year. this was going going to go overseas with me since i'm getting stationed in italy. now i can't take the vehicle overseas with me due to the part not coming in until the end of the year. i'm highly disappointed, the drivers airbag recall didn't take nowhere near as long to get fixed.

Takata recall, passenger side airbag could rupture in an accident killing my passenger. my passenger is going to be someone i love so the law suite will be severe. this is a well known problem that has been going on for years! not having a solution to the problem yet is not acceptable.
Takata recall 17s01. passenger front airbag inflator could rupture if this vehicle is involved in a crash. waiting for months for a remedy. dealer admitted, levittown ford in ny, that only southern states are getting the parts for this repair as of now, and that i will be notified. ford states that it is safe to drive yet there is contradictory and inconsistent statements and evidence that supports a danger to the front passenger side. if the parts are available in southern states, there is no evidence that supports that northern states are less at risk of injury from a rupturing defective airbag. i am furious that i cannot put a front passenger in the car, with good conscience, that there could be a serious injury caused by this defect. please look into the misleading recall status, "recall incomplete, remedy not yet available." catching ford in a lie will not lead to a good outcome for them should my car not get fixed soon.
Takata recall. when in time will there be a remedy to fix this problem on my 2007 ford mustang.

Takata recall 1. received recall 16s26 recall notice july 2016. said repair parts not yet available. initial recall notice had no warning to not use front passenger seat of car. 2. received recall update december 2017. said repair parts projected to be available spring 2018. this recall update had warning "do not allow anyone to sit in the front row passenger seat". 3. ford motor company has said they have no obligation to provide a loaner car or any other financial compensation for not being able to use the car passenger seat. 4. ford motor company have also been very evasive about whether they will stand behind the car if front passenger seat is used and passenger is subsequently injured as a result of airbag malfunction. 5. ford dealer service dept rep said that central virginia is not a high risk area because humidity is not as high as areas like florida or texas. service rep implied that there is minimal risk of air bag malfunction - but they did not actually say this. 6. my question is should i use the front passenger seat and if not, what recourse do i have for my financial loss?
Takata recall. it is taking a very long time for ford to acquire the parts and make the repair, more than 1 years since notification.
Takata recall. i have the issued recall form ford for the passenger side airbag and have contacted the dealer multiple times to have it replaced but they allways tell me no parts are available. i am trying to find out when i can have the vehicle repaired or will i allways have an unsafe vehicle that cannot be fixed even though a recall has been issued?
Takata recall: received a airbag recall notice 16s26 from ford. warning to not allow anyone to ride in passenger seat! totally ridiculous! my wife can't drive(handicapped) and i have kids that need rides. there is little to no room in back seat. ford needs to immediately get the parts to fix this! what is taking so long? i have the letter if further information is required.

Ford keep sending me emails and there are no dealersis available that have the airbag in stock i want this to stop but i want ford to be mandated to replace the airbag asap. every time i've called the garage they say they're not available this is been going on for 3 years ford could do better. a woman on the customer care and ford told me i could drive the car and it is fine. so why bother to do the recall this is all pretending, it's been going on for 3 years
