There has been no accident. this 2007 mustang was registered in the state of michigan but was kept in bonita springs, florida continuously from 2009 through 2013. maintenance work for the mustang was provided by the local ford dealer in estero, florida during that time. the vehicle has only been driven 8,698 miles. our concern is that only those vehicle registered in states such as florida are being covered for this very dangerous air bag problem. we believe the recall should be expanded to at least vehicles used in the affected states. *tr

I stopped at a stop sign, then made a right hand turn, my car started sliding on the ice in the street, i turned the wheels hard left to avoid a car parked on the street, then i believe i tried turning right to stay on the street, unfortunately i hit a tree with the right side of front bumper hard enough to push the wheel back about 2-3 feet. the air bag did not go off and the seatbelt allowed my chest to hit the steering wheeling causing a chest wall contusion and exacerbation of my low back pain (i had a fusion of 2 discs with complications of cellulitis and osteomyelitis post-op), along with pain in my left hip replacement because my knee hit the dash. i also have had off and on numbness in my right little finger which i am not sure if it is from something in my shoulder or something in my neck since the surgery. i will have to let my doctor know this when i see him as a follow-up from the er. i also will be letting the doctor or n.p. i see at the pain clinic i go to of this fact. the er provider also said i had some degree of "whiplash". both the air bag and seat belt failed to protect me from injury. i have sent a email to ford but am waiting for a response. *tr

I am still receiving airbag notices and ford has not supplied the necessary replacement airbags to my dealership. it has been over 3 years of notices. ford customer service does not respond. i cannot access anyone by phone or online. i want the notices to stop or to include the info about when the airbags can be replaced. ford is placing this customer in daily danger. one customer service rep even told me to keep driving my car, it is ok!!! the notices say replacement is urgent but do not supply the airbags to dealerships. ford is scamming this customer.

Both the driver and front passenger airbags have been recalled. the driver's side was replaced, but the passenger side is apparently still not available. it has been several years now since the recall letter i received from ford, but they still continue to tell me that the part is not available.it is both frustrating to me, and dangerous for any passenger that i have in my vehicle. i simply want to have that faulty airbag replaced.

Takata recall ford has been sending me recall notices. urgent, scary but ford lies and still does not have the replacements. i am being harassed by weekly notices. i have been to many dealerships, no parts. ford is deceptive about these repairs. please make the company stop sending me panic mail until they supply the parts. this is criminal, after 3 years!!!!

Takata recall ford keeps harassing me with letters and emails but does not even have any airbags to complete the replacement this has been 3 years. if the company can't get the replacements they should notify the customers if they can get the replacements the next letter should be dated or when the customer can expect the recall bags to be available. if this would truly a safety issue my airbag should have been installed after the first recall notice i received. i have called several times to several dealerships and none of them have the airbags. ford is cheating on this game

I was driving on the highway at approximately 60 mph. without any warning the horn started blowing. it startled me and the drivers of several of the automobiles near me. apparently, other drivers thought there was some emergency. i took the next available exit from the highway and pulled over at a safe place. i turned the ignition off and the horn stopped blowing. i started the car and pulled onto the street and the horn again started blowing. after stopping and starting again, the horn stopped blowing. the next day i took the car to the ford dealer. they indicated that everything was "working properly at this time". they said that the "most common part failure is the drivers side module to start." the price quote was $1058.48 to replace the air bag module. i have removed the horn relay temporarily, but i am fearful that possibly the air bag will deploy while i'm driving. it would seem that in any case, this is a dangerous situation. i would be interested in knowing if this is a problem for others and what if anything i should do about this. *tr

i was driving down the interstate in when my accelerator started to stick and floor it, brakes were doing nothing so i threw it into neutral and eventually with much effort we came to a stop on the side of the road. when the accelerator stuck the passenger airbag also turned on the light saying it turned off. when finally stop and the car off the accelerator was stuck to the ground and it took a few tries to get the car to turn on. very dangerous and has never done this before. *tr

On 12/01/2010 my 2007 ford mustang coupe fishtailed on black ice in mid-michigan, spun around at least 1.5 times and collided on the driver's side with several small trees in a ditch. i am the original owner of the vehicle and had the airbag recall performed on the car in 2008 or 2009 at a ford dealership. none of my airbags deployed. i was traveling approximately 60-65 mph on an expressway. the car was totaled. i sustained injuries, the nature and extent of which are unknown, and wage loss due to my incident. i am concerned because my airbags did not deploy in this collision. *tr

Took my car to andymohr ford dealership in plainfield in. they broke the harness for airbag, i had to drive home with airbags unhooked and not working. they were supposed to order a part and call me back. after 2 weeks i called them back and they had no idea who i was or what i was talking about. they did order a part and replaced it, i have a paper saying airbag was fixed but my car still shows up on the recall list. is my airbag fixed or not?

My wife and her friend were driving down a 2 lane road in our 2007 ford mustang and wrecked into a power poll totaling the car. the front frame was broke in half and the airbags still did not deploy luckily they were not injured bad ford just told me that is the way they are designed to work. i thought that if in a frontal collision the airbags deploy. *tr

I received a recall reminder regarding recall 08c02 in may of 2008 for # and i have never owned this car, so i contacted ford customer service and they said they would forward to current owner. january 2009 i received an urgent recall notice 08c02 for same # from my local ford dealership. i called the dealership and asked if they could help to get this notice to the correct owner, the dealership said they contacted ford and then i was told there isn't anything ford can do. i'm concerned that the current owner isn't aware of a safety issue for that car and nobody seems to care. i'm hoping you can help. thank you *tr

My son was involved in a car accident on july 20, 2008 in our 2007 mustang, the airbags didn't deploy and the seat belt didn't properly restraint him. he hit the steering wheel, causing him to nearly kill him. he received a head laceration on his scalp his skull and tissue were showing having to be reattach his scalp with over 80 staples. he now suffers with headaches and the doctors told him he has to be carefully within the next year for fear of reopening the scalp incisions. i believe this is a product liability, you think airbags are going to prevent you from an accident like this and it fails. ford motor company needs to know about this and prevent from someone getting killed. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 ford mustang. while driving between 6- 10 mph, the contact rear ended another vehicle. the seat belt retractor failed and both air bags failed to deploy. the contact's head struck the windshield and the entire front end of the vehicle ended up in her lap. she sustained burns to her legs. a police report was filed. the local dealer stated that because the speed was low at the time of the crash, the air bags did not deploy and the seat belt retractor did not retract. the dealer further stated that this is how the vehicle was designed to perform and there was no failure. the failure and current mileages were 25,000.

I purchased my 2007 ford mustang gt in august of 2007. it was a floor model that the dealer had done modifications to. on 24 jan 08 i went to fill "top-off" the fuel which was below 3/4 of tank. after only getting about 1.87 gallons in, the pump clicked off. i tried to pump more gas into the tank and was surprised when it started to overflow. (after starting the car back up, the fuel gauge was still in the same spot before i started fueling) i also noticed that in the recent weeks my "passenger airbag light" does not read it is in the "off" position when no passenger is present, even though it did read this before. i have since contacted my dealership and am bringing the car in to have them check these problems as well as others i am concerned with after reading the forums. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 ford mustang. while driving approximately 35 mph, another vehicle ran a stop sign and collided into the front and side of the contact's vehicle. the vehicle was completely destroyed. both frontal air bags failed to deploy until several minutes after the crash. the contact received a recall notice for nhtsa campaign id number 08v082000 (air bags:frontal) several weeks after the crash occurred. she called the manufacturer, but they will not respond to her phone calls. the failure and current mileages were 3,800.

My child and i were injured by the airbags. i called ford 2008 when i got a recall notice. and i was told i had norecourse because of airbags coming out to hard. my child had neck and shoulder injurys and my sternum had been broke. ive been told i have no recourse against ford seams like ford and air bag company r coming out like they did noting wrong. *tr

My daughter was driving down the garden state parkway on the morning of 11/3/07 when the passenger side (side) airbag deployed for no apparent reason. she was obviously very scared by the airbag deployment but managed to stay in control of the car and avoid crashing. we brought the car immediately to the dealership where she purchased the car. the dealer dealt with ford with regard to the incident and on thursday 11/8/07 i got a call from the dealer saying that ford determined the airbag deployment was caused by a stone kicking up off the road and hitting the underside of the car. my concern is for my daughter's safety and needless to say i am not satisfied with fords explanation on the cause of this issue. ford has not offered any other explanations or taken any actions that would make me comfortable in knowing that this would not could not occur again. *tr

Takata recall

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 ford mustang. the frontal air bag light flashes on and off intermittently when a 13 year old weighing 115 pounds is seated in the passenger seat. the dealer spoke with the manufacturer and they stated that the flashing light was a normal occurrence. the vin and dealer information were unknown. the current mileage was 1,000 and failure mileage was 19.

I was involved in a front collision. the damage to the vehicle was extensive. my concern is that the airbags did not deploy. i was restrained solely be the seat belt. *tr

Takata recall someone is dragging their feet here on something that can cause "severe injury or death." this has been going on for several years. how much time is enough? they still don't have all the parts to make this repair. what's up with this. is this legal? recall #'s 15s21 and 16s26.

Takata recall based on my experience, ford motor company is dissolving itself of any responsibility after sending a letter out that states parts are available. however after notifying dealer of letter from ford over three weeks ago and hearing nothing, call ford whose representative says it is my responsibility to get dealer to get the part and schedule the repair. since calling the dealer over 3 weeks ago with what appears to be no action what am i to do next. it is evident that the government has lead ford to believe they have done all they need to do with a letter "campaign" so where does that leave the individual that may be injured with defective equipment. will a letter campaign pay medical bills or look after my family death. any suggestions??????

Received notice 3/2017 -- passenger side airbag parts [takata recall] have yet to arrive at dealership therefore work has not been done. called dealership after receipt in march and again on 10/30/2017 - both times the dealer did not know when they can expect to service our car.
