Engine code surfaced and told me i had a misfire. i took it to the shop and was told that coolant had leaked into the cylinder and i would have to replace the entire engine and would cost me $9,300. i called ford and even though there are recalls on similar vehicles with similar issues, there is not a recall on this particular vehicle.
For about a month now my coolant has been dropping in the reservoir about every 2 weeks. i had the oil changed today and asked the dealership to check and see what the problem is. they informed me it was leaking around the thermostat housing. this is in direct relation to the recalls but of course they say mine is not part of the recall. i wonder what ford will think if it catches fire and i'm injured and my children sue them! please help i'm on disability and can't afford the $450 the dealer wants to fix it.
