My 2013 ford fusion power steering failed, get power assist failure message as well as lane assist failure message very dangerous

Power steering gave out. i was driving in a rural area and the car became extremely hard to turn, and upon starting the vehicle, very very tight steering wheel

Constantly getting a message on dash "power steering assist fault". occasionally a message about transmission comes up but too quick to read. see that ford has done a recall on both of these items but haven't actually issued it yet. my vin is not showing as one affected despite getting these messages. i am hearing some sort of noise that we can not identify and worry it is something with either one of these issues. hard to describe the noise but replaced brakes and rotors thinking it could be that but the noise is still there. worried this could cause a accident. not sure why ford does a recall but doesn't send it out when it is a known problem. usually hear the noise while slowing. message on dash is random but always while vehicle is in motion. doesn't stay on long and happens at least 1-2 a week. started back in december 2019

Recently, i have been having issues with my electrical system/acceleration. i have a hard time getting my max a/c light to stay on and sometimes my radio display is delayed of coming on. also, sometimes when i start my car, the dinging sounds distorted like my battery is about to die and i have a hard time starting the car. i started to think my battery was going bad but then one day i was driving down the road (in motion), my car was still running and no warning lights displayed, but i lost all acceleration. i had to limp my car to the nearest parking lot as i could not get any gas power. i turned my car off and immediately turned it back on and it worked just fine. then a couple weeks later it did the same thing. i again had to shut it off, restart, and it worked fine. i have not had that issue since then but it is still worrisome. luckily i was not put in danger especially since my 6 yo son was with me. i would hate to think of the outcome if this happened on the interstate or somewhere when i ...

Frequently, when driving and the car has to idle- in traffic, at stop lights, etc.- the engine will stutter and shut off. this will happen repeatedly until the engine is driven at an increased speed.

I was driving about 45 mph and the driver side door opened on it's own and i can not get it to shut now. when the door opened i grabbed for it and it swung back and smacked my arm and hand and they are swollen bruised and sore. the door ajar indicator light up and the dinging started to alert me the door was open. went to a near by ford dealership and they informed me that my vehicle was not listed on the recall. this has been an ongoing issue with the whole electrical system not functioning properly. one evening i put my car in drive to leave a parking garage and it would go in reverse while in drive (reverse camera is on the whole time) and when i put it in drive it would drive in reverse. i had to drive home with my gear in reverse just so i could drive forward.*dt *tp

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. while driving in inclement weather, the climate control and windshield defroster became inoperable. the failure also caused the windows to become inoperable. the contact stated that the failure was intermittent. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. gengras ford (225 new britain ave, plainville, ct 06062, (860)793-8885) was contacted via phone and informed of the failure. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 38,000.

Initial ignition of the car results in engine stall out post abnormal ignition time. fusion will display "power run active" then "press brake to start". this will repeat after another ignition attempt and re-show the same messages on the dashboard. after a third ignition attempt the engine does not stall out. the problem is not a sudden onset but initial symptoms of the issue is that the car will stall out after 10 seconds of driving. initial re-ignition post stall results in normal function of the car without extra issue. however, this event becomes increasingly common over time until it simply stalls out immediately post ignition. despite multiple trips to a ford certified professional mechanic, no codes are given by the computer which renders diagnosis of the faulty part or cause of the issue near impossible. problem may present itself as faulty alternator, battery, or starter. however, even after replacement of any possibly faulty aforementioned parts the problem still persists.

Left front headlight no longer has power. checked headlight assembly for power continuity. problem seems to be in wiring to headlight assembly or from from fuse box. not sure exactly when it failed but replacement of lamp lead to further diagnostic since lamp worked when placed in right front.

Lost complete power and control of car no acceleration when pressing gas in the middle of street car slows down without no warning after parking the car a wreck indicator flash. this is the 2nd time it's hit down on me i had it repaid last year and it's happening again my life is at risk with this car shutting off on its own it's not fair that i'm being held responsible to pay for this faulty death trap vehicle. i couldn't drive my car in the middle of the road

My driver door is not locking .. do to the door latch recall .. i have not yet got a recall on it .. my door will open while driving..

My vehicle had a recall on it in 2016 for the door latches not working. the latches were supposedly all replaced at the dealership after the recall. in september of 2018,i opened my back door and tried to close it and it would not latch again. i had to rope my door shut to get it to the dealership and the supposedly put another latch on that door. on friday march 29 i was driving home from work and my driver side door unlatched on its own again. i tried to shut it as i was driving and had to stop on the side of the highway. i took it to the nearest ford dealership to me and they told me i would have to pay full price for the recall. the dealership i got the car at is too far so i called them to have it towed there but they would not honor the recall. on the morning of april 1 i spoke with ford customer care and that there is nothing that they can do. my car is undriveable and ford will not help with the problem. ford expects me to pay $600 every 6 months when ...

Have not brough to dealer yet, however all my lights lit up and have not turned of so far. advancetrac, blindspot, rear camera assist, abs, etc.. basically all my assist have come on. since they have come on my steering has been tough, as if the electrical assist was disabled because its combined with the abs system. according to a youtube video posted online, the problem is a corroded or malfunctioning wire in the abs driver (or passenger?) side of the wheel well. "issue was my driver front tire... it's the wire harness that goes back to the cpu from the abs speed sensor. this should be a recall in my opinion as a lot of people are having this issue which causes electrical power steering assist to turn off making it harder to turn the steering wheel" quoted from the youtube video. where the wires connect or something along that line. it would be really appreciated if ford looked into this and made a recall. this is not safe considering it disables some (or all) of your steering capabilities. more detail: all lights have lit up before during the ...

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. while driving, the vehicle jerked. there were no warning indicators illuminated. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that there was an electrical failure and the transmission needed to be reset. in addition, the front lower control arms on both sides of the vehicle detached. the dealer and manufacturer were not notified. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 124,973.

My car has been skipping and hesitation with power train or transmission while driving whenever it wants. it’s nothing specific to make that happen. last week back power windows quit working. now....started car in drive, steering was locked. drove back and forth, tried different gears, tried restarting, it finally started by turning key over. came home, parked in driveway, can’t get steering to unlock at all now! i am over an hour away from home, so whenever it decides to turn, i can head home. but after reading these reviews, do i dare? does ford want us owners to die, or the innocent we may hit? either way i would sue because they cannot deny knowing there’s a problem!
