The antifreeze started leaking....then it all flushed down...i see there us a recall for this problem...my car should be on the recall list....i only noticed when car was parked
First time problem occurred was in a parking lot. able to reverse. as soon as vehicle was put into drive engine shut off with no warning. all electrical systems worked. this happened 2 times in a parking lot and a similar situation happened while driving on the highway. no warning lights codes or any warning before vehicle shutting off. when vehicle shuts off only real sign is loss of acceleration
I was in reverse pulling out of a parking spot i was in the middle of a roadway when my car would not move anymore. the gear shift had detached from the transmission. i was lucky there was a tow truck mechanic who was able to reconnect it and move my car to safety. it has done this a couple more times since but it is now no longer driveable. in regards to the fuel the car makes a rumbling noise from the gas line, and makes the car fill with the smell of fuel. when i put the gas nozzle into the car a bubble sound and air pierces out.
The gear shift on the vehicle has broken twice i've had it temporarily fixed to hold it over. but it's dangerous for is saying they don't have a recall on my model but the recall they have on the gear shifts fits exactly what i'm going thru.
Driver side rear door latch suddenly failed while driving at appromately 40miles per hour. door ajar warning lit up in the console. pulled over to try to close the door but the latch had failed entirely. had to secure door with seat belt and drive slowly home will drop it off at dealership because dealership service dept was closed at time of incident.
Service advance trac, traction control, abs, and steering assist fault lights all come on randomly and it becomes extremely hard to steer. when this is going on, the lane keeping system does not work and the turn signal needs shut off after every turn. having no power steering and trying to turn off your turn signal while driving is extremely dangerous. these lights randomly come on and go back off. i live in pa, if this problem happens in snow i have to pull over and wait for the steering to be back to normal or risk my life getting home. ford has not included my vin in a recall that could be the cause of the issues. i have taken my car to the dealership 5 times now for this same problem.
I was hit from behind while stopped ready to turn in to my drive way pickup hit me about 40 mile per hr.push me across the street into some medal pipes why did the air bag did not go off?????i was on a state highway
3 out of 4 of the doors latches have stopped working within 1 year span. the doors do not close. vehicle was stationary/parked. door was opened to allow entry and then would not close or lock.
Notice sent (may 2019) stating that the bushing in the transmission shifter cable may degrade over time. this may cause the transmission shifter cable to not be able to fully move the transmission to the selected gear position. if the driver attempts to shift to park in this condition, the transmission may not be in park position even though the shifter position indicates the vehicle is in park, and the "transmission not in park" warning may not appear. this could result in unitended vehicle movement, increasing the risk of injury or crash. i was told to bring my car (8/19/19 )but was told that the parts were not in. no accident has occured as of 8/19/19.
Two weeks ago i was heading to work. right before i got on the highway my car began to smoke. no alarms went off, so i pulled over to see what it could be the reason my car started smoking. when i lifted up the hood smoke came rolling out and i seen fire under the engine. i called 9-1-1 and they send the fire department out to put out the fire. car is total lost
I called ford before and the guy on the phone said that the recall was vin specific and my vin had not been included. although, the same issues they are saying is happening is happening with my car right now. i put it in park it drives, i do use my emergency brake at all times now, i put it in reverse it goes forward, i put it in neutral it reverses; if there were an emergency currently i am not able to hit the gas and reverse and the brakes seem to shudder when stopping. i have had to finagle my way since this started happening until it's my turn to get my car serviced by ford for a recall. and this will be the second appointment since it was repaired for recalls earlier on in the year.
The front passenger side door came unlatched while the car was in motion with a passenger sitting on that side and two people in the back seat. the door does not stay shut and one person had to drive it back home on the highway while the other person manually tried their best to hold the door shut the whole time. passengers were uninjured and got lucky that there wasn't another car in the lane next to it while this happened. called north central ford dealership in richardson,tx as well as ford motor company and neither parties are willing to help unless we pay for the door out of pocket as they claimed this specific car was not part of all the recalls that similar fusion's and focus's have been having. this family also owns a 2012 ford focus that same thing happened and was part of the recall and door was replaced by ford. ford refuses to understand and comprehend the severity of this life threatening issue and help their customers so that they can save money. our lives were in danger and it's not a matter that needs to wait till more people die for it to be recalled. it's been 4 days and ford gave us a case number and said they will look into it and we still don't have a car or a solution and this car is still in the house garage.
I had the recall done on my vehicle and now i have to fill the coolant every two weeks, its causing my car to overheat. they will not look at it, or fix the issue they created. they as well replaced a piece of the head gasket in which may be a source of it. it's began the overheating issue, what more is going to occur?
The front passenger door latch failed and the door came open while i was driving down the road. the vehicle was in motion at the time this happened. i was on a residential street at the time. if i had been on an interstate or highway, this would have been a very unsafe situation. apparently there was a recall for this issue in 2015 (recall # 15s16) . ford says the recall was completed on it in november 2015. i bought the vehicle used in may of 2016.*dt*jb
When in reverse backup camera sometimes just stays on the main screen, sometimes turns black and then message backup camera unavailable check with dealership, sometimes seems like picture is displaying backwards and sometimes it works fine.
My vehicle was parked in front of the gas pump. when i got ready to leave the store i tried to put my car in drive. the shifter would not move out of park. on the dash it showed the car was in neutral and the car acted as if it were in neutral. the emergency brake had to be put on once it was pushed away from the gas pumps. the car then had to be towed home because there was and still is no fix for the recall on my vehicle. the recall was issued in may and there is still no remedy but tge dealership insisted that i pay out of pocket for a temporary fix then be reimbursed later....if there was any kind of fix even a temporary one my vehicle shouldve just been fixed. i am not at fault here.
Was told that i needed to replace my lug nuts because of swelling. my tires have not been rotated because ford claims they cannot get the nuts off. was told to go buy from pep boys. they do not have the nuts for my vehicle. if ford knew about this defect why aren't they doing something about this. why does the consumer have to go searching for replacements. my car only has 30,000 miles this should not be happening and is unsafe. i was told i could buy new rims and i wouldn't have that problem anymore. ford should be replacing these nuts for their customers. not like it's our fault this has happened. help!
The bushing in the transmission shifter cable may degrade over time .
My vehicle is having issues with my car not going into park. last week i got home pulled in my driveway. i tried to put my car in park but the gear shift would not move. it was stuck in the drive mode. the only way i was able to stop my car from rolling into my house was by using the emergency brake. this is the second extremely dangerous recall with this vehicle. previously i had a recall with the back passenger door latch. driving with my children one particular day and the door opens. my personal opinion and based on my experience the 2013 ford fusion is a safety hazard and has not been manufactured properly.
My driver door is not locking .. do to the door latch recall .. i have not yet got a recall on it .. my door will open while driving..
When in park or driving my door opens up. my door will not lock and it's not safe driving my vehicle . and it's airbag singal on the dashboard .

Ford fusion 2013 while driving fuel gas cap will make a noise of air coming out, if it continues the car will turn off even when driving or stationary on both highway and street has happened more than 4 times ford agency said they will not fix it
The passenger rear door all of a sudden won't latch. there have been 2 recalls regarding the situation and i don't have paper work but they said i took it in for the recall in 2016. if another recall was issued i'm 2017 regarding the same situation why would my repair not be under the recall?
Car will shift to neutral when place in reverse. car will also jerk when changing speeds of 10.

I moved the shift lever to park and removed the ignition key,but the car stayed in neutral with no warning message or audible chime. the shift stick is now stuck and the car remains in neutral. i am unable to shift gears and was lucky this happened in a parking lot. i looked it up and there are recalls for other models as well but not mine.

I got recall on door locks took in 2016 and door came open oct. 12 2018 they want me to pay to get lock fix
Door won't engage and remains opened, so i checked the internet and found that ford has numerous door latch recalls and it appeared that my focus of the years i own was included. i went to the dealer and when i pulled in, the greeting person saw my bungie cord system to hold the door somewhat closed and he said "oh i know why you're here" obviously, he has seen this many times, however, when i went to the desk, the rep said my vin was not included in the recall and i would have to pay for it myself. i left and called ford. i told of the situation and said this is dangerous and i would hate if something tragic happened where it would end up in a law suit or on the news. the rep who was obviously in another country and i could barely understand, said she was going to expedite this and send it to my dealer's service manager and i was to call the next afternoon. i called was transferred to a voice mail with no response. i called two days later and spoke to the service mgr who found the case but couldn't understand when was written. he said he would call me back later which he did and told me that ford will not cover this. so now i have a call to the executive team and am awaiting a response.
Pulled into garage and turned vehicle to park and turned engine off. vehicle rolled back out of my garage and crashed into the neighbors garage and brick wall next to garage and up onto a curb. police came because we could not get my vehicle started and it would not move out of "park" . it gave a notice each time the key was in the ignition that "transmission is not in park". brakes were tight and steering wheel locked up. had to get a police officer to move to a safe parking spot until towing arrived.

My door latches were performing just fine. there was a recall for the door latches, so i had the recall work performed and the door latches were replaced. a month later, my right rear passenger door didn't want to shut, but after a few minutes it finally did. as i was driving down the road it came open. i fought with my local dealership to get it repaired the same day because of a safety concern. i have 3 kids who sit in the back seat with a door that will not latch and stay closed. that was march. today (august 30), the left rear door decided to do the same thing. they say they can't fix it until tomorrow, which is extremely hazardous considering there is nowhere else for my child to sit and it is the only vehicle i own. i already performed the recall back in february and it seems it made the problem worse considering i had no issues with the latches before the recall work was performed. i'm not so sure ford remedied the latch issue with their earlier recall.
Shift cable bushing failure arrived to work and parked on a slight incline on a city street. placed vehicle in park and exited vehicle. vehicle started to roll back even though it was in park. shifter said park but car dash said drive. had to apply emergency brake to keep vehicle from moving. i was half way out of car when it started rolling backward. i had vehicle towed as i was not able to place car shifter out of park position and car was in park and would roll if i did not apply emergency brake. there is a recall on this part for certain 2013 vehicles but not mine, i feel that this is unsafe as i could have been injured if i wasn't able to stop my car or if someone or another vehicle had been behind my car at the time.
The transmission in my ford fusion 2013 had to be serviced at once now 2 years later i am being told i new a new transmission. the car has been an ongoing problem.
I was at a resteraunt drive through windo, placed my car in park. the car was in drive by the gear but the dash showed that it was still in park. the gear would move back and forth with ease but nothing was happening on dash the car even though i had placed it in drive it was obviously still in park. i could not move out of the drive through and it had to be shut down until i could get a tow. i had to take it to ford and they told me that i needed to replace the shift cable to the transmission. i did not have the money to fix this so i am driving my grandmothers car i heard of a recall for the same issues about a week later with 2013 ford fusions but the ford said my vin was not included. i feel this is a bigger issue than they thought and i am not happy and without a vehicle
When driving car cuts off and tranmission not in park appears
My 2013 ford fusion is experiencing an issue with the climate control system and the window controls. i have lost communication with the 'front control interface module', 'door control module a', and 'door control module b'. when this happens, my ecm displays the following codes, p193e: a/c clutch request signal, u0199: lost communication with door control module a, u0200: lost communication with door control module b, and u0256: lost communications front controls interface module. this happens quite frequently, and it has happened when my car is in motion and when my car is stationary. sometimes this happens when i start my car and sometimes this happens when i am driving. to be clear, i have no air conditioning, no ventilation, and i can not roll down my windows. to make matters worse, this seems to happen more frequently when the temperature outside is towards 90 or more degrees fahrenheit. this means the interior temperature of the care gets to be very hot. in my experience, the only way to fix this issue is to disconnect the battery terminals and then reconnect them but this only offers a temporary fix to the problem.
I shut of my car on wednesday evening, went in to restart and the ignition made no sound at all. the car was in park but the dash showed that it was still in drive and the alarm was also telling me it was not in park. the car was obviously not in park and could easily be moved by a push. i put the parking brake on until it could be towed. i had to take it to ford and replace the shift cable to the transmission. i heard of a recall for the same issues with 2013 ford fusions but the service center said my vin was not included. i feel this is a bigger issue than they thought and i am not very happy.
Poorly designed seal around back-up camera housing allows moisture into housing, sends faulty signal to engine when vehicle is started and shifted to reverse ultimately shutting down the engine. this does not happen 100% of time, but it is concerning. usually occurs during/after rain, snow, or high humidity days. this design flaw also disables the brakes, emergency brake, and power steering. vehicle does not turn on right away and starter continuously clicks until vehicle computer responds to start, key faub is the only way i have been able to start the vehicle after this event occurs. sometimes the computer gets so jammed up that i must completely disconnect the battery and hard restart the computer. when the issue occurs the vehicle cannot be stopped and will continuously move backwards until it stops on its own, it hits something, or the vehicle can be started again. this did happen to me while i was parked on a slight incline and my car stopped after it rolled in to a parked car, luckily no damage occured. as someone who used to be an airbag design engineer i definitely believe this to be a safety issue. a mechanic at the ford dealership i bought the vehicle from informed me that this issue is known to ford(he found the information on how to diagnose, repair, and what parts to buy in the repair database) and i called ford to confirm that they do know this issue. ford informed me that they do know of the issue, but it is not a safety concern. this issue costs over $800 to fix at a dealership. my extended warrenty won't cover the cost of the repair because it is considered "water damage"
My car was parked. i started it up and it is stuck in park. i can't get it to switch gears.
My steering is very loose my gear shift cable came off and cause an accident. and im having problems with my transmission because of it.
I have had the worst experience with trying to get my recall resolved 1st of all my door open while on the highway. and also while i was on my way to work. so i called only to find out that this was part of a national recall. now i thought i only had a recall on my seatbelts and airbag. now had they kept their word on march 28th this could have been resolved. help....
