My airbag light just came up on the dashboard and would come off i just started the car and it's been on ever since
Passenger airbag light indicator & passenger airbag on/off indicator remains on even when a passenger is seated in the front seat. i think this is a safety issue because the airbag will not deploy from an impact as needed. request any assistance with this related safety issue. thank you

Cvt transmission shutters, slips and shuts down the engine when stopping. diagnostic was performed at dealership and resulted in bad transmission. also passenger airbag deactivates intermittently even while someone is sitting

My air bag light stays on in my dash. went to my local dealer to find out an old code b0020-13 was detected. they found everything to be fine, so they reset the code. the air bag light came back on two days later, and the same code came on again. they recommended a replacement of the side air bag module under the driver seat to repair the concern. they want to charge me $1600 for parts and labor, and what's worse, the sop part is on back order with no eta. so i asked the dealer what i am supposed to do, and if the car is safe to drive? he suggested that i shouldn't drive the car, but the part is not readily available any where in the united states? what kind of garbage is that? they offered me no solution to my problem, and i don't have another car to drive, and they can't even tell me when the part will become available???? does this mean that this problem is a problem all across the country, because why don't they have the part available? this is a safety issue!!!! if i were to get in a accident, then the side air bag would not deploy!!
We have not had any accident and the air bag lights came on. the vehicle was not moving. we turned it on in the morning and it came up. we did not know what it was at first until my husband friend informed it that it was the air bag about 2 days later when he sent him a picture.

The air bag light came on showing the airbag for the driver is no longer working. i thought there was a recall on it since i have heard and read online this has been a common problem. same with the engine light glitch i have read is a common problem which doesn't allow my car to accelerate properly when that light is on.

On 8/31/2018, i took my 2014 nissan altima into the fred hass nissan svc, dept. for an oil change, in tomball tx and while there, reported that the supplemental air bag warning light was remaining on after 7 seconds and remained on all the while the vehicle was being driven. the service advisor stated that code found was cleared and no repair was recommended. on 9/5/2018, i spoke with (xxxx), svc, mgr. at fred nissan and informed him that the supplemental air bag warning light was on again. mr. (xxxx) made a 7am appointment for me to bring my vehicle to the svc. dept., on 9/6/2018 for further diagnosis and he would contact nissan for recommendations. later on, mr. (xxxx) informed me that he had spoken with someone at nissan and was told that nissan would not cover the cost of any current or future repairs to the supplemental air system, even though it was a safety issue. unfortunately, the gold extended warranty i purchased does not cover malfunctions of supplemental air bag system or any of its components. the supplemental air bag warning light continues to come on upon a cold and warm start and remains on while the vehicle is being driven.

Takata recall..... it states when you put the vin number in that my car was not in the recall. my husband and i are in our late 70's and early 80's and love the car, but are now afriad to drive the car because of the airbags. can you please have these airbags replaced for our safety. i know these takata airbags have already been recalled, why was my car not included? nissan dealer states that there is no, takata airbags. for my safety and that of my husband. i would like to have my airbags replaced and free for charge, because of the hassle that i'm going through.

With passenger sitting in passenger seat with seat belt on, the light is on the dash at various times, when in park as well as when driving, the air bag is off. we have taken it to the dealership numerous times to report this issue, but it continues to occur.
Takana inflators. radio goes on and off when i turn it turns on and stays on for a few seconds then shuts off.

On 10/27/17, i hit a deer crossing the road head on at 45 mph and no airbags deployed.
1) frontal passenger air bag. it always says off, even when there's a passenger. i'm not sure whether this is a takata inflator. (this occurs every time all the time when the engine is running, wether idleing, drive, neutral and reverse) 2) headlights. the headlights (both) continually get dimmer and dimmer until you are unable to see causing a very dangerous situation. (this occurs every time all the time when the engine is running, wether idleing, drive, neutral and reverse)i have had or changed my light bulb(s) at least (6) times in the 16 months i have had the vehicle. i have been stopped by law inforcement several times and a livery driver i have had customer complaints.

Passenger airbag indicator fails to go off when a passenger is sitting. nissan refuses to accept this as a manufacturing defect and is a serious safety issue that should be part of a recall. there is no accident involved yet but it should be reported to hence this complaint.
After taking in my altima 2014 sv for a recall on the airbag sensors, the issue did not go away. the issue is that there is that about half the times a passenger sits next to the driver seat, the airbag system does not detect them. i am having to restart the car for security purposes in case something ends up happening. i am also having an issue with my ac system. i replaced the compressor a year ago and it seems to be failing again. as a senior software engineer i can safely say that there is definitely an issue with their software. i hope they can fix this soon. thanks, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).?*jb
Takata recall while stopped on a busy street waiting to make a left hand turn, i was rear-ended by a large suv. my airbag did not deploy and i suffered severe pain to my head, neck, shoulders and back. my altima was later declared a total loss as a result of the accident.

The light indicating a person is in the passenger seat does not operate all the time. the dealer has programed it twice. the dealer is frustrated as they have several other customers with the same problem. the dealer asked me to contact nissan directly which i did. i was told today by a specialists from nissan that i have to bring the vehicle in when it is doing it, i explained it is an intermittent problem and i would be more than happy to leave the vehicle with the dealer. she informed me this was not acceptable that i have to bring it in when it is not operating properly. i guess she could not comprehend the fact that it is an intermittent problem, most likely due to a faulty t passenger side sensor in the seat. the passenger weights is around 120 pounds so she is heavy enough for the sensor to pickup her weight. i am concerned that the air bag might not deploy during an accident. most of the time when the vehicle lights acts up is when we first start out. there is no set pattern to create this problem, might be ok for a week or two then could do it two or three days in a row and maybe go out by it self. this has been happening for several months, maybe close to a year.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 nissan altima. while at a stop sign, the contact looked both ways. upon accelerating, a truck crashed into the front driver's side of the contact's vehicle. the air bags deployed with extreme force for the front driver and passenger side. the curtain side air bags did not deploy. the driver's left eye was damaged, which affected the cornea, and the driver also sustained bruising across the chest and back pains. the front passenger sustained bruising to the arms, chest, and hips. the driver and front passenger received medical treatment. the insurance company towed the vehicle to a yard. a police report was filed. the vehicle was not inspected to determine the air bag issue. the manufacturer was later notified of the crash. the approximate failure mileage was 46,000.
Passengers side airbag light is on when someone is in the seat. we have had it to the dealer and they say they can't duplicate the problem. we videoed it and showed it to them and i have called nissan miss [xxx] didn't want to hear it.
