Recently reported ELECTRICAL SYSTEM problems on 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Car shifted unintentionally into neutral when driving, did the several times. had to have electronic shift module replaced, in january 2013. chrysler issued a recall may 2013 for 2005-2010 cars, but my vehicle bin was not included. *tr

While driving 55mph suddenly every dashboard warnings light, ignition, radio, headlights, etc. turns on and off. engine stalls for a couple of seconds each time this occurs. the same thing happened on a number of occasions. dealer says they never heard of this problem and could not duplicate this problem when the car was in the shop. the car was at the dealer's shop on two occasions. the first time they said they couldn't find the problem and the second time they did something to the computer. the car is doing the same thing and is going back to the dealer on 2/18/13. *tr

On the date mentioned the vehicle described became locked in place unable to shift gears. the vehicle was towed into the dealer and the work performed . this involved the replacement of the transmission transfer case. at the time i questioned the possible reasons for the incident and received no answer. the total cost was in excess of 3000 dollars paid by me. i have since (upon conducting research) learned that the chrysler corp. has reluctantly issued a recall for this exact issue. it was issued in may of this year. the agency report specifically characterizes the electrical transfer case issue. i made repeated calls to the chrysler corp. and have been rebuffed with the explanation being "your vin is not included in this action." i find this incredulous. my vehicle, a 2006 jeep grand cherokee absolutely falls into the recall category. the invoice (#[xxx]) i received from world jeep where the repair work was completed identifies the cause and repair as transmission/transfer case 2168cpdca. the case number i was given by chrysler corp. is identified under # [xxx]. the recall campaign number under your agency 13v175000. it is carried by chrysler under campaign number n23. i cannot understand the arrogance of a corporation such as chrysler in light of such absolute evidence to the contrary of their stance. i am requesting your assistance in this matter. any documentation heretofore mentioned can be forwarded to your agency if necessary. The headlights and dashlights started to flicker, i would turn off the lights and the back on but the problem would soon reoccur. i took it to my mechanic who couldn't duplicate the problem. he looked up the problem in a website to diagnosis the problem. he found that 60% of the time it was the headlight switch which was the problem. we replaced the headlight switch and arm assembly to this day some 5 months later the problem has been resolved.this problem seems to get worse over time without the repair. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 jeep grand cherokee. while driving 35 mph, the ignition switch malfunctioned and became loose. the contact had to continuously wiggle and tap the key in order to prevent the vehicle from stalling. several warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. the failure occurred numerous times. the dealer was unable to diagnose the cause of the failure. the manufacturer was not notified. the approximate failure mileage was 35,000. updated 10/23/2014*lj the consumer stated the failure occurred when the vehicle was started up while it was being driven. updated 4/22/2015 *js

While driving my 2006 grand cherokee the vehicle will switch into neutral on it's own. this has occurred while stopped at lights, while driving at 70 mph, so on and so forth. the check engine light reads "shift control module" and this has been replaced twice and has not been cheap. when this occurs, the dash board lights light up around all gears (park, reverse, neutral, and drive.) i have had to pull off onto the side of the road and turn off my vehicle and restart it before it would switch back into the correct gear. i am wondering if the new safety recall 13v175000 is covering this issue. as i read, it seems my vehicle is not the only one with this problem. my next step was to replace the entire transmission as the person working on the vehicle did not know what else to suggest. this is very dangerous, especially with having to share this vehicle with a teenage son.

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 jeep grand cherokee. the contact stated that all of the instrument panel warning lights illuminated as the headlights flickered and shut off. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was unable to be replicated. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was 60,000. *tr

The grand cherokee stalled at a light on a hill. restarted it and but it back in drive but vehicle continued to roll back almost rolling into car behind. stalled 4 more times but in parking lots and non busy roads. took it back to dealer where they updated software on computer and said it was fixed. then stalled on a busy highway and was almost rear ended because vehicle stalled and wouldn't go into gear. then parked it in parking lot and it stalled in park. *tr

I purchased vehicle 2 weeks ago, november 115, 2012. over a period of several days, all lights on . instrument cluster light-up, gauges go crazy, loose power and ability to operate vehicle. very dangerous situation since i was on highway at highway speeds. also, headlights begin to flicker off-on at a high rate causing a dangerous situation. i have researched online and found numerous similar complaints for jeep. i went to my local jeep dealer today...no help. called jeep hotline, 800-992-1997, no help, claim they havent had a problem. this is a safety issue and jeep should stand behind their product. *tr

There is already a recall ..p41/nhtsa 14v-438.......on these cars....when i called for fix, i was told there isn't one yet....meanwhile my car refuses to start randomly....this recall was 6 mos ago....these problems with the safety ignition switch has been known for years.....who holds these co. feet to the fire? *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 jeep grand cherokee. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 14v438000 (electrical system). the dealer was contacted and the part was not available within a reasonable time frame to schedule the recall repair for an extended period. the dealer did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. the manufacturer was notified of the issue. the contact also stated that the ignition switch was previously replaced prior to receiving the notification of the recall. the vin was not available. the contact had not experienced a failure.

All lights, instrument panel, head lights, fog lights began to flash and shut off then came back on as the car was being driven. this has happened multiple times while my wife has been driving as well as when my son has driven the car and also while i was driving.. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 jeep grand cherokee. while driving approximately 5 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. the vehicle restarted; however, the failure recurred on several occasions while driving at various speeds. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the idle control valve needed to be repaired. the vehicle was repaired however, the failure persisted. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 14v438000 (electrical system); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 105,000.

2006 jeep grand cherokee laredo with the 4.7 v-8, every light on the dash lights up, flashes/ flutter/ flickers, head light shut off, radio shuts off, hvac system shuts off, but engine still runs. continues to do this over and over and over again. after searching the internet i found out that i am not the only with the problem: http://www.topix.com/forum/autos/jeep-grand-cherokee/t0h6c8uchkss6d69g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqe0vumdnzk others have complained about the same problem in other jeep models: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqvn0ijk3xu seems like a problem with a faulty ignition switch and key lock cylinder? *tr

Starting october 2nd, 2012, my 2006 jeep grand cherokee has not been shifting gears correctly and all options on the dashboard (park, reverse, neutral, drive) will light up. the car slows at this point and i have to pull over, put it in park, and then put it in drive again; doing that seems to reset it. this issue has happened about 4 times since and it's only october 6th, 2012 now. after doing research online, this seems to be a huge problem with other jeep grand cherokees and a very scary one at that. godforbid this happened to me on the highway and wasn't able to pull over; its an accident waiting to happen. *tr

When driving my transmission would be stuck in a gear sometimes and other times it would shift to neutral while on city roads and highways. this would happen mostly when accelerating when the automatic transmission had to shift to the next gear. it wouldn't or would go to neutral so i had to shift the transmission back and forth from neutral to drive to catch a gear. i read about a recall back in 2013 but chrysler said it did not apply to my vehicle so i paid to get the problem fixed. since chrysler is currently having recall problems i'm curious to find out if this was something that wasn't reported.

When i called the manufacturer this morning, nov 19, 2014 (my car failed to start) regarding a recall notice, i was advised that i would have to pay for a "temporary fix" out of pocket because the recalled part was currently unavailable. no further recourse was addressed and since my car is intermittently starting and has occasionally stalled while driving, i am stuck driving a potential hazard, or being stranded without a vehicle at all, until replacement parts are made available to me. i have already replaced the faulty ignition part, at my own expense (more than $700) , in 2012 prior to the recall. clearly even that part was a "temporary fix," though that was never communicated to me. *tr

Like others vehicle has stalled while at low speeds. at random times, took to my mechanic and he never could duplicate the problem. until, i took it there for an electrical problem and to check out the steering. while he was test driving the car, it stalled on him and still could never find the problem, my lights flicker on the inside, dash over head light all inside lights, at night when i have my lights on, till i turn them very low and still flickers but can't notice it as much, inside lights don't turn on at all when i try to switch them on as well. the air bag light has stayed and been on for a while, my mechanic ran a test on that as air bag is fine but light stays on. i know there where recalls so i called chrysler and they said my car does not qualify under any of the recalls. now my abs and esp/bas, traction control light are on. at first they came on while i was driving when went to slow down my breaks rattled, the lights came on then went off. now they have been on and won't turn off. and my cruise control stopped working as well same time. there seems to be nothing that comes up while running test and stuff. my car has 115756 miles on it and these problems keep happening. also when i start it the car ideals rough and when i'm stopped at a light tried and replaced parts and still does it. i love my jeep and would like to have these problems found out and fix i'm almost done paying it off and want to keep it but it scares me that it's could stall any moment randomly. *jb

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 jeep grand cherokee. the contact stated that while driving at low speeds or engaging the brake pedal, the vehicle would stall without warning. the failure occurred intermittently. the vehicle was taken to the dealer, however the failure could not be duplicated. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 14v438000 (electrical system) however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was unknown.

The electric sunroof developed a small leak when it rained. one day my wife took the jeep to the car wash and the inside was soaked. the electrical system in the doors was wet and also in the roof. the sunroof was defective in some way causing the leaking into the vehicle and the electrical system. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 jeep grand cherokee. the contact stated while driving at 15 mph, the engine lost power as the steering wheel seized without warning. the contact received a notification for nhtsa campaign number: 14v438000 (electrical). however, the part was unavailable to complete the recall repair. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair to be performed. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 60,000. updated 11/05/14 updated 12/2/14*cn updated 8/31/2017*cn

My jeep has constant flicker of dash lights and acting like it is gonna stall . can't have radio on if lights are on or air if lights are on because i get the flicker and feeling of stalling.when i called dealership about this they told me they haven't been told about this problem. they told me to bring it in for a charge of 100.00 $ and they would check it out. really..its getting to be a piece of crap that we get blown off about this! *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 jeep grand cherokee. while driving at an unknown speed, the check engine indicator illuminated and the vehicle stalled. the contact received a recall notification for nhtsa campaign number: 14v438000 (electrical system). the dealer was unable to locate the cause of the failure. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 42,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 jeep grand cherokee. the contact stated that while driving approximately 20 mph, the engine stalled. the failure recurred multiple times intermittently. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 14v438000 (electrical system) however, the parts were unavailable to perform the repair. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall remedy. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 95,000.

While at highway speed, on the highway, vehicle stalled, lost power steering, acceleration ability, braking and lights. had to coast to the side of the road while narrowly avoiding other motorists at highway speed. this has occurred on several different occasions at speeds anywhere from 5-60 mph. very dangerous and frightening. this has been reported by thousands of other jeep owners and is eventually going to get people killed. *tr

While driving my vehicle suddenly shifted gears as if it were in neutral while rpms shot up rapidly to 3,000. it then suddenly lunged forward and picked up speed. the check engine light came on. after a day or so, the light would go off. it was very scary to have it change gears and not be able to maintain speed and suddenly speed up again while traveling with vehicles in front of me and behind me. you essentially have no control of the vehicle in that moment, nor do you have any warning that it is about to happen. drivers around you also have no warning that your car will suddenly slow down or lunge forward. most of the time i have to pull over and put the vehicle in park and then back into drive for it to work. happens at any given time, whether im going 5 mph or 65 mph.. even on highways. can be very dangerous. *tr

Since the day i purchased my certified used 2006 jeep grand cherokee, the interior instrument panel and dash lights have malfunctioned. the brightness flickers from low to very high, which is very distracting at night, some of the panel controls have since completely stopped working, and several times, all of the warning lights on the dash (seatbelt, airbag, check engine, etc) flash on and off while driving. this has happened at numerous speeds and times of the day. i video taped several incidents on my cell phone to prove it. took it to the dealer and they said they can't duplicate the problem and the video means nothing. it happens more often, or is more noticeable, at night. they checked it in the daytime. made no offer of any solution. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 jeep grand cherokee. the contact stated that while driving approximately 45 mph, the vehicle stalled and the esp warning light illuminated. the failure occurred on several occasions. the contact received a notification of nhtsa campaign number: 14v438000 (electrical system) however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 100,000.

My 2006 jeep grand cherokee continually has a problem with the entire control panel shutting down, gauges going to zero, a/c stopping, and headlights turning off when they are on. recently the vehicle stabilization lights came on and a terrible grinding noise made. this has probably happened 30 times over the past year. it usually happens in about a 5-10 second time span. this past week it stayed that way for around 15 minutes. *tr

I do not remember exactly when the problem started, but while driving at night, my lights started flickering and then went out all together. i thought it happened when i turned my signal lights on, but i am not sure if this is the cause. i took it to the jeep dealer and they could not find anything. every now and then, i have the same issue, but nothing can be found. this is very dangerous for me and it terrifies me that someone will think i am flashing them and become angry. there is obviously something wrong if there are so many with this type of problem, but nothing is being done about it. i purchased as a one person lease vehicle from a dealership and within a year had to have my transmission replaced. i could not enter transmission in the parts section. *tr

A year and a half ago i was on my way back home from a half an hour drive from town when i decided to stop at my parents house to get a drink. i wasn't inside for less then ten minutes, when i went to leave my jeep would not start at all. after a half hour later looking everything over i did notice the fuel pump fuse was melted and blown. i was asked bye american chevrolet dealership if i had something plugged into my cigarette lighter that could of blown it. i've been a mechanic for 11 years now and i've never known to see the fuel pump fuse ran to other components meaning interior outlets. now a half year later i have been having problems starting my jeep at times and having no power to the motor at all. i want to get rid of this jeep. now i had a recall on the neutral safety switch and just today i get another recall for the ignition switch. i keep having axel popping sounds out of the front passenger side and i'm fed up with this jeep. *tr

My 2006 jeep grand cherokee lardeo has all the same issues as listed by every other jeep owner. the engine randomly shuts off while driving down the road, the dash board and headlights flicker on and off constantly. sometimes we start sometimes we dont. when pulling out into traffic , maybe it will go, maybe it wont. i have lost my brakes on several occasions as well. now the jeep sits in my driveway as it wont start at all, and of coarse nobody can tell me what is wrong with it as usual ! nothing like paying for a dead horse ! i have contacted the chrysler corporation only to be told these are not "safety" issues. good lord what does it take to get a decent vehicle that is safe and reliable ? i guess that would be not buying anything chrysler, dodge, jeep in the future is the route i will take ! i only hope when one of these ticking bombs fail, my family and friends arent on the road that day !

Starting in feb. 2012 the engine would quit running while driving. when the engine would quit we loose steering and braking. the vehicle starts right back up and is drivable. we would experience this problem once every 2-3 months. the frequency in which this is happening has increased with the latest incident occurring 3-18-15 while exiting the interstate and nearly avoiding a crash off the roadway. we received a recall notice from jeep (p41) but everytime we call they tell us the parts are not available. i have tried several times to contact jeep but am left on hold for over 40 minutes. can you please help us with this problem. *tr

On multiple occasions, the instrument panel has stopped working completely. the lighting in both in the interior of the vehicle as well as the exterior flashes and sometimes goes out completely. multiple dealers have not been able to find a problem. it has caused near crashes before with the distraction of driving at night. the cruise control also accelerates without any warning while this occurs and the cruise must be reset by turning the car off and back on. this too has caused some near crashes as the car accelerates due to the faulty cruise control. *tt

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 jeep grand cherokee. the contact stated that while driving at unknown speeds, the vehicle lost power as unknown lights flickered. the contact previously received notification for nhtsa campaign number: 14v438000 (electrical system) however, the parts were not available. the vehicle was taken to the dealer. the technician diagnosed that the ignition needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 100,000.

Suddenly every dashboard warning light, a/c, headlights, etc. turns on and off. dealer recommended to remove everything from the key chain (?!) so they knew then that there is an issue with the ignition switch. it helped for a while until same thing happened february 2013, but this time engine stalled for a couple seconds. i took it to the dealer and called chrysler. chrysler said it's going to be my problem until nhtsa issues official recall. dealer will charge me $360 for a new ignition switch tomorrow. all 2006 jeep owners - if you have the same problem - don't just read this, file a complaint. looks like this is the only way to wake up chrysler. *tr

Takata recall: i was in an accident with my 2006 grand cherokee. the accident was due to the ignition switch and the vehicle powering down while in drive, or in use. injuries were suffered due to the airbag's none deployment. after taking the vehicle to the dealer and attempting to have two recalls replaced, i was told there presently was no available fix, or replacement for recall p41. the vehicle was serviced in 2015 at fitzpatrick's chrysler jeep (430 e main street, ansonia, ct 06401 (203) 734-3318) for recalls p41(ignition switch) & n23(powertrain transfer case electrical system). in january of 2012 with 37k on the vehicle there was the first of two accidents that relate to recall p41. this accident was due to unresponsive braking and steering, which was caused by the ignition switch moving from the on position to the off position while the vehicle was in drive, or in use. this accident happened when attempting to stop the vehicle (rte. 80 east haven, ct) i noticed the vehicle was unresponsive. i used both feet and hands to apply the breaks, while simultaneously wrapping both hands around the lower half of the steering wheel and pulling upward with my biceps to apply additional downward momentum to the break pedal, but still i could not stop the vehicle. injuries were sustained and out pocket costs for this accident total over $7000 dollars. the second accident happened in 2016. not realizing the vehicle was off while attempting to bring the vehicle to a full stop on the highway (rte.15 no haven, ct.), i had a collision. the force of the impact slammed my face into the steering wheel. i was dazed and confused, wondering, why hadn't the airbags deployed. this is the second incident i've had with this vehicle that was directly related to the ignition switch. and, in both accidents airbags were never deployed. any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I had my check engine light diagnosed and found to be the esm shifter, an electronic device that connects the gear shifter to the transmission. it was said to me that this helps regulate that the transmission stays in the correct gear while driving. i have found that the transmission sticks in a certain gear even though it is not the correct gear i am driving in. i have found that i have had to pull over, put the vehicle and park so that it clears before going back in gear. i have also found that that process does not always work, when that has not worked, i would have to turn the vehicle off and back on for it to shift properly. i also had an incident that while using cruise control i was going up a hill so the cruise control kicked in to give the extra boost but it did not shift back down. i was quickly accelerating (almost to 90 in about 5 seconds) and being close to reaching 5rpms i had to turn off cruise control and shift into neutral for it to stop accelerating. due to the extended warranty i purchased it was not covered. i have talked to a few mechanics and they all have said they have replaced multiple recently. when talking to jeep headquarters, they stated that it has not been reported as a defective item. i was advised to contact nhtsa to report this in hopes that other have done so so that jeep is required to make this a recall item. from what i have heard, it has been a fairly common item that needs replacing. *tr

My vehicle started originally slowing down like it slipped out of gear. i was told i needed a new transmission but when i replaced it i still had the same exact problem with the vehicle staying in limp mode and check engine light on, rpm running high and not going into overdrive. the transmission is not shifting correctly after spending over $1500.00 on it. from my research i have arrived at the esm to be causing the problem with the vehicle not indicating what gear for the transmission to shift into. i have called the jeep corporate office and even though they know that the transmission needed a repair when i first bought it with 17,000 miles on it they still did not feel they were responsible for my transmission problems. to me that are just avoiding the fact that this is a manufacture issue with either poor design, construction or quality of parts. i had a 1994 amigo that i put 280,000 miles on and i never once had any type of transmission issue. this is a 2006 vehicle this is the poorest experience i have ever had with a vehicle. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 jeep grand cherokee. the contact stated while driving at an unknown speed attempting to make a turn, the traction warning light illuminated and a loud grinding noise emitted from the vehicle. the contact stated that the esp, bap and transmission warning lights were also continuously illuminated. the failure recurred multiple times. the contact had received a notification for recall nhtsa campaign number: 14v438000 (electrical systems) and nhtsa campaign number: 13v175000 (electrical system, power train). however, the parts needed were not available. the dealer was uncertain when the parts would become available to service the vehicle. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 66,957. the vin was unavailable.

While entering on ramp for highway jeep shuts off... no more control since no power. hit the guard rail. this stalling happen on many occasions while driving or in park. with passengers in vehicle very scary. have spent more than $4000 @ dealer @ & manufacturer involved. with no resolution...but the stress & the dissatisfaction in the american product i'd like to buy that can't be fixed. i'm convinced i'll probably never buy american again. very disappointed on how jeep corporate handled the issue & left me with vehicle with these problems & told me case closed... trade it in. *tr

Was going down interstate 40 coming from little rock ark. jeep started to slow down pressed on gas would not speed up. there are so many eighteen wheelers on that interstate. i managed to pull over. started to shifted from park to drive and drive kicked in. i had two children in the jeep with me .i can not even think about what might have happen if one of those trucks had hit me in the rear. this is a 2006 jeep grand cherokee laredo. i have looked on line for recall there was a recall on the 2008 models . the transmission control module . i have been told that is the problem with my jeep.when i made in home this happened again coming down my street in halls tn. got to my drive stop pulling. put in park back to drive made in driveway. i have seen on line this is a problem with lots of jeeps not only mine. please fix this problem before someone get hurt or dies. what does it take!!!!!!! help! *tr

Driving approx 50 mph, the jeep quit, no warning signs, no power steering. momentum got me off the road. dealership wasn't able to fix the problem. this happened in march 2011. sept 2011 i was passing a transit bus on the way to work and as i started to pull back into my own lane the jeep quit again. no warnings, it just quit. i had to coast into the front yard of someones house because i had no steering. i sat for a few minutes, started it up and drove back home. the onboard diagnostics light, esp, bas and traction control lights were on. from that point the jeep was running very badly. dealer had my jeep for 6 days and said it was a map sensor on the manifold. got the jeep back and backing out of my driveway in the middle of the road, it quit. a couple tries and it restarted. i'm very upset that this vehicle has put me in harms way on 3 separate occasions. i couldn't imagine driving on a twisting steep road and having it quit. i'm lucky i wasn't killed the day i was passing the bus. i'm not convinced the map sensor is the problem and i don't trust this vehicle. i drive a lot and transport my kids. we are all in danger in this vehicle. mainly because, it gives you absolutely no warning that it's going to quit, it just shuts down as if i shut the key off. i have only the ignition key on the keyring so i know it has nothing to do with heavy keys pulling on the ignition switch. i am not the only complaint, they are all over the web, it is an issue and someone needs to address it. this vehicle has become dangerous. *tr

My dashboard light was flashing and clicking many time for about 2 minutes this is the 4 times this happen, i took my car 3 times before to the dealer and they do not fine anything in my car and this problem started at beginning these year and my card just have 68,564 miles. i left my car last saturday 08/28/11 and they told me is not any thing in the computer, i saw online many complaints about this on the internet. i do not want somebody have a accident before chrysler find the problem with jeep grand cherokee 2006. *tr

My 2006 jeep grand cherokee continually has a problem with the entire control panel shutting down, gauges going to zero, a/c stopping, and headlights turning off when they are on. recently the vehicle stabilization lights came on and a terrible grinding noise made. this has probably happened 30 times over the past year. it usually happens in about a 5-10 second time span. this past week it stayed that way for around 15 minutes. as sounds typical, the dealership says nothing is showing up. i've had it to an independent shop and the chrysler dealership. this page is literally covered up with the same problem. why is there not enough evidence on this one site (many others contain this same complaint) to do something about this? do i just have to take it to the shop forever and spend money only to never get anyone to fix it, or do i wait until i have a horrible accident? i don't really have the money to scrap an unsafe vehicle and start over with nothing. what am i supposed to do? *tr
