My car was recalled in september 2014 by recall # p41/nhtsa 14v-438 to replace the ignition switch. since then i have checked with safercar.gov and my dealer repeatedly and am informed that no remedy is available. on 10-20-15 i got another recall for the same reason. again, on safercar.gov it says no remedy available. i want fca to fix my car. the ignition switch has failed off and on since mid 2014 when the car had about 85,000 miles. it still fails at least a couple of times a month. the recall notice said to drive the car only with the ignition key in the switch. i have removed all other keys and the switch still fails. when the switch fails the car keeps running but all interior electrical stuff stops and all the warning lights go on. this is very distracting and i have nearly lost control due to being startled and by trying to restore the car to proper operation. what's taking it so long for fca to recall my car and fix the problem?

I have received notice of a recall, p41 / nhtsa 14v-438 dated 9/3/2014. i have received multiple notices that this ignition switch failure may result in loss of engine power, power steering, and braking assist increasing the risk of a crash and disabling one or more of the vehicles safety features including the frontal airbags. each time i contact the dealer who states they don't have the parts to fix it yet. i believe that having to wait over a year for a new ignition switch to fix a safety issue is unreasonable and irresponsible. i'm sure if i had a broken ignition switch any other time they would replace it quickly. i want my vehicle properly fixed, in a reasonable amount of time, over a year is not reasonable.
