Takata recall: the car is unsafe to drive because of the airbag constitutes a lethal threat. the value of this vehicle has of course plummeted as a result, making trading it in economically impossible. the recall is more than a year old, and there is no remedy in sight. vw seems to be sidestepping responsibility here, and telling customers "don't blame us--blame takata." but takata was vw's specific oem!

Takata recall - when will the air bags be replaced? i am driving with recalled, unsafe airbags and there appears to be absolutely no plan for replacing them.

Takata inflators, airbag inflated on it's own while turning left into a parking lot and caused my wife to loose control and hit a stationary object-sign pole causing major damage ($8,000) to this vehicle. vehicle in repair facility for almost 2 months awaiting replacement airbag and seatbelt part from vw. airbag inflated and seatbelt locked up on passenger side.

Takata recall. still cannot get remedy. leased car, dealer won't take back on trade in, now going to cost me a fortune when i have to "turn it in" and leave me with no car. started looking into trade in back on 11/25/15, still cannot trade in or fix almost a year later.

takata recall i have been trying to get the air bags in my two vw's for over a year. i am told that no one has these parts. it is putting myself and my daughter in danger. when i speak to the manager he acknowledges my worries but minimizes the risks. if they explode my daughter or i could be killed. i don't believe that the risks are minimal. i do believe that there is something more that vw can do, other than offering to give me more on a trade in. when they admit that many of the cars on their lots have the same dangerous problem. vw, and i mean all of their dealerships should be very concerned that this"minimal" problem will cause someones death! instead of a cheap fix they will have a huge lawsuit worth millions of dollars. never, ever buy a vw!!! i bought my vw's from prestige volkswagen melbourne, florida. they say they can not help me!

Takata recall. this recall is far too slow. it is a dangerous safety item, and it is more than a year that this problem has been well know. nhtsa must compel takata and the car manufacturers to increase production or outsourcing of the defective parts. there is no doubt that production could have been increased long ago if the parts were being sold at a profit. this is shameful on the part of nhtsa, takata and the automobile manufacturers.

Received a letter notifying that there was a recall on my vehicles 2014 passet airbags.

Takata recall. nothing has happened as of yet. but, i have yet to receive notice of a remedy for this recall for our 2015 vw passat.

Takata recall my car is on the list but the manufacturer is not ready to do what is right. after all these years hearing about takata wrong doings they knew it since 2004, we still have to wait for more people to die? so i have to pay this expensive car that i'm afraid to drive, and i am on the road everyday. despicable.

Takata recall. i was notified of the recall a couple of weeks ago. i am not able to drive my vehicle because of safety issues. luther westside volkswagen in st. louis park, minnesota, where i purchased the vehicle, can't fix the safety defect 'due to no parts.' i asked the dealer for a loaner car and was advised it wasn't available and was advised to call volkswagen of america. i also will call the dealer's manager on monday. when i purchased the vw, i traded in a toyota because it had takata recalls on it. i purchased the 2014 vw because vw is known for its safety. i advised the vw dealer that i had not driven my toyota in over a year because of air bag recalls and needed to get a new car because of the safety recalls. 6 months later, vw issued a recall. vw should have known not to use takata air bags in a 2014 model, as it appears issues have been ongoing with takata air bags for a good 10 years. the dealer did not mention that the same defective air bags were in the 2014 vw passat. i need a different car without takata air bags or a loaner until the parts are available to fix the safety problem. my car was also inspected in florida and i understand from the toyota recall that vehicles that have been in florida may have priority and i would like to get priority repairs.

Takata recall - vw still does not have parts to replace the takata airbags.

Takata recalled airbags never fixed in 3 years i had my lease so they knowingly allowed me to drive me and my kids for 3 years in an unsafe car!!! the tdi deisel was also an issue and had electrical issues as well.
