Front passenger airbag light started flashing at 60 000 miles
The rear passenger airbag just pot-up and the light never go off
The airbag light was flashing so we took it to the dealer. the passenger air bag stays off even with a person in the seat. they stated it is the occupancy sensor and wanted over $2,000 to fix it. i had the nissan extend warranty which they said it was not covered. i called nissan and they said my 2012 rogue was not part of any of the years for the occupancy sensor that were recalled. if there is a recall for the same reason, why would this not be covered? why if the sensor fails it would default to keep airbags from working?. nissan customer service told me it was pass the 3 years /36000 so they would not repair it.
My mother purchased this nissan rogue new in 2012. now the airbag light is on, we're being told that none of the airbags inside the vehicle are working. south austin nissan where we purchased the vehicle refuses to assist my mother, unless she pays a great deal of money. nissan corporation refuses to assist, they just refer me back to the dealership. so many of these airbags have been recalled, therefore why is my mother having to pay a large amount of money. same issues as the other year models which have been recalled. my mother is driving this vehicle with no airbags. respectfully, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).' pm
The airbag light unexpectedly caught on
The driver side air bag light is blinking this could possibly be the module. i have looked in the internet and i have that the module is a problem on nissan vehicles. the light is always blinking.
My side-seat passenger airbag sensor - located in the passenger side seat - keeps turning off. this sensor has been recalled for 2013 models. was told by dealership that its not under warranty - or recalled for 2012 - and the cost is extremely prohibitive and exorbitant since it cannot be fixed unless you purchase a new seat for $2,600.00. this sets up for an extremely dangerous situation if involved in an accident. the vehicle only has 44,000 miles and there have been thousands of complaints filed for the same make and model of vehicle.
Passenger seat occupancy sensor failed. vehicle is out of warranty but i noticed that over 3 million nissans have been recalled for occupant sensor failure. attached is copy of nissan dealer diagnostic information.
Airbag malfunction light is on, dealership tells me they don't know what it means, just that it should be replaced. could mean that my airbag will not deploy, could mean that it will deploy randomly. my warranty did not cover it, nissan will not fix it. it is $1300 and i have another huge problem with my car: my transmission is going out for the second time and my car is at 102,000 miles. warranty covered it the first time, just ended in july and i am told that nissan only covers new transmissions for 1 year or 12,000 miles. this car is a lemon. a transmission should not go out twice in 100,000 miles. an airbag malfunction should be covered, this is my safety.
Code: b1018 passenger side occupant classification error. seat had to be replaced. my family's safety was at stake. dealer quoted $2962.06 and they notified me the seat is on back-order. that amount is ridiculous and prohibitive for my family. we had my mechanic work on it the 1st time and he recalibrated the seat. he came back a second time but did not charge since it was the same code and it happened a day later. we opted to fix the issue by replacing the seat with a part from a salvage yard as it was less money. i am concerned about the safety of my family! the very first time i noticed the restraint system light was during a 5 hour drive (7/8/18) but did not know what it was until i looked it up after the trip. i was appalled that nissan would not fix something that was clearly manufacturing defect and that i put my family at risk. i also believe this issue is why the seats are on backorder. i am sure nissan is aware. please see pictures.
Frontal impact caused airbags to deploy except the passenger front (no passenger) and the passenger rear side (passenger present) . nissan claims no deployment of side airbag is because no direct "t-bone" impact on passenger side of vehicle was sensed. nissan also claims that the driver side airbag did properly because it sensed a potential rollover situation. nissan was moving on city street and hit (t-boned) a truck pulling a heavy loaded trailer that ran a red light. rear passenger side airbag should have deployed!
Vehicle in the shop for a major oil leak, 2 key fobs don't work, recall, leaking sunroof, and last but not least air bag light flashing. quoted 3500 to replace seat/module, 350. for oil issue, 1400. sunroof. i inherited this car in 2013 when my mother passed away and it only has 20000 miles on it. i could buy another newer used car at this rate!! this is rediculous for a vehicle with so low miles to have this many issues. at this rate i will never purchase or recommend nissan again. please advise. thanks, deb

Takata inflators/ seat belts??? a group of turkeys ran out in front of me on a gravel road had to hit my brakes hard the car slid into a curb due to gravel, air bag went off ( not that hard of a hit) the seat belts locked could not get them to release had to cut the seat belt to get out of it. all the seat belts are locked and will not release so you can not drive the car with no seat belts
Takata recall adult passenger is seated in passengers front seat and has seat belt on. but airbag light stays flashing on dash board and passengers airbag off light stays on.

A few week ago when i started the car the air bag light on dashboard started flashing. took it to the dealer and after diagnosis he said that airbag sensor has to be replaced and it is not covered under warranty. the car has only 35100 miles. it should be covered under warranty. it is dangerous to drive the car with the airbag light flashing. it should be on recall.

The passenger side airbag light stays on and it has been reset several times. there are two lights that indicate the problem one near the passenger seat and one on the dash. i am aware of this being an issue on numerous similar vehicles and they have been recalled already why has this year not been added
Airbag warning light came on and the passenger airbag warning light is on. the dealer said that the passenger side airbag will not deploy and a new airbag module was needed at a cost of $1,500 and i purchased this car new sept, 2013; also purchasing advantage preferred extended warranty at that time. the dealer advises that warranty does not cover this safety issue.
We were driving and slide to side of road hit nothing and side airbags deployed the front airbags didn't deploy hit nothing and had to be repaired 6,000 damage but no wreck i don't understand why the repair shop checked for recalls but none. i don;t think my insurance company should pay for a defected airbag . we hit nothing and there was no damage to car at all. *tr
The "passenger air bag off" warning light is on for no reason. i am 5'4 and 120 lbs. sitting up straight and trying to push downwards did not solve the problem. this has been happening for about a month, no matter it was on the highway or local. *tr
