My nissan roguenwas one of the first models introduced in 2008. since then there have been a few recalls that my rogue hasn't been eligeable for. one of my recalls right now is the sensor in the pending under the seat for the airbag. the recall says the sensor will still be illuminated when a passenger is sitting in the seat meaning that the sensor for the air bag is malfunctioning. have called the dealership and the car manufacturers for nissan and they just won't help at all.

Itakata recall:bought the car in july 2016, and everything that can go wrong has, of course it's trial by error, this car had and still has every defect there is. i bought this car from i was not notified of any problems or was my vin number posted in any event we were on our way to lake george, traveling at a speed of 70 when all of a sudden my car decelerated, flooring got us know where, literally there was traffic everywhere, i put my hazardous lights on and was finally able to get over to right side of road. on another occasion i attempted to go up a hill and while in drive the car just rolled backwards, service engine light came on, perhaps a week after getting my car serviced and multi car inspection. i took the car back ,lady at the desk informed me there was a crack in the cvt, they sealed it and replace transmission fluid , she also went to say if it still gives you problems then we will replace transmission while a few weeks later it decelerated again. i have brought the car back to fucillonissan three times, the service man stated i had to wait until the service light on, what he really meant to say is we are not going pay over three thousand dollars for a new transmission, or wait for the extended warranty to expire. the tire pressure indicated light has came on since i bought the car, which is also a defect , and repeatedly informed them, just filling the tires up and reset the buttons prior to me owning this car it was serviced for emissions defect, their website indicated that they merely reset the button, but the fact that are hazardous fumes don't even direct them to look for leak. the gentleman from nissan said was resolved, pushing a button, just like they did with tire pressure sensor. nys adhere to one hand watches the other, hence they would place a recall, i just hope an inexperienced driver go through any of this.

When the car is on - the airbag light is flashing. i just purchased the vehicle 6 days ago, i can't say how long it has been on.

Passenger side air bag light blink whether anyone is in the seat or not and only when the engine is on,andstationary and in motion.

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 nissan rogue. the contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated and remained lit. the vehicle was taken to reed nissan clermont (16005 state road 50, clermont, fl) where it was diagnosed that both the driver and passenger air bag sensors were defective and needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 29282603. the failure mileage was approximately 134,058.

The passenger air bag sensor does not recognize an adult sitting in the seat. this looks to be a common problem for rogue. there is a recall for this issue but not for my vin seatbelt does not register as being secure leaving seatbelt light on in car.

My 2008 nissan has 54000 miles on it. i had an passenger air bag light off ocs codeb1018 occupant sensor unit malfunction and looking up on it nissan have a massive recall on this issue all the way to 2017 vehicles. basically, if the passenger is less then 150lbs the air bag should not deploy as per nissan but with the sensor being fail air bag will not deploy at all even in a major accident. this leaves the passenger wide open for injury. i called the nissan customer service and it seems they are not concerned at all. they want to only treat this if the vin is under recall and not if it's not under recall. i believe it's a liability and major safety concern. nissan should be worried about every vehicle and not just the one they are calling. i don't understand the robotic mentality either you worry about safety or you don't. you can't have both ways. their customer service terrible not another nissan product and i will tell others to steer clear. sadly if it was a vacuum cleaner i would've got new one by the manufacturer by now. it's the cost of repair nissan trying to wing it. entire seat need to be replaced due this concern and the cost is upward of 2000 dollars and nissan is aware. so it's never about safety is it? (otc scanner only one code) see picture. i believe since its a safety hazard nissan should check this code at their dealership free of charge and repair this issue free of charge. they need to own up to their on going problem up until 2017.

We own a 2008 nissan rogue. approximately two weeks ago the airbag light began flashing while driving and the passenger airbag sensor light will show that it is off even when an adult passenger is sitting in the seat. we took this to our local nissan dealer in which case they informed us that it would cost $1800 to repair. upon researching this online, i found out that this is a common problem and there was a recall associated with our make, model and year vehicle. it is nhtsa recall number 08v521000 . the dealership we took the car to for repair said that our car wasn't included in this recall. i called nissan directly and filed a case with them to see if i could get our car included in this recall since it is the exact issue described in the recall. they gave me case number 32943503. when the case officer with nissan called me back they were unwilling to work with us on this issue stating that our vin was not included in the recall and couldn't provide me with any information on the defective part that was recalled so that i could compare that with what is installed in my car. after looking at all of the complaints online for this exact issue, i think that this recall should be expanded to include more vehicles since the parts installed continue to be defective and this affects life safety of the passengers in these vehicles.

Takata recall front passenger airbag light has been saying airbag is off. this has been an intermittent problem for awhile now with it coming on and off and now it has stayed off.

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 nissan rogue. the contact stated that the passenger side air bag indicator blinked off and on continuously. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the front passenger seat cushion be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified. the vin was excluded from nhtsa campaign number: 08v521000 (air bags). the approximate failure mileage was 148,000.

Supplemental air bag light is always flashing when vehicle is on. dealer did diagnostic and said there's a problem with the passenger seat air bag sensor. the only remedy is to replace the passenger seat entirely. if the passenger seat is not replaced, the air bag may not deploy when it should.

While driving approx. 40 mph the passenger seat light came on indicating seat air bags would not engage. this occurred while a 150 lb. person was sitting in the passenger seat. a light red indicator light also came on on the dash and it was blinking. both of these lights have continued every time we use the car whether someone is sitting in the passenger seat or not. after seeing there was a recall on the 2008 ocs from nissan, i took the car to our local nissan dealer and they said our vin number was not included in the recall. why not, how did they determine that. the same part was used on all the 2008 rogues as well as many other nissans of that year. why is nhtsa not investigating this. there are hundreds, probably more, nissan vehicles 2008-2009 that have this very expensive problem as well as very unsafe, life threatening issue. nissans "voluntary" recall helped them escape a full recall. they have not honored their "voluntary" recall.

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 nissan rogue. the contact stated that the air bag warning light illuminated. the vehicle was taken to the dealer and the code was reset; however, the air bag warning light illuminated again within 24 hours. the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 08v521000 (air bags, electrical system). the vehicle was to be taken back to the dealer for further inspection. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 118,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 nissan rogue. the contact stated that while driving at approximately 20 mph, the air bag warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was driven to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 139,000. the vin was not available.

Just bought this car from the original owner, she stated that the dealership told her the flashing passenger airbag warning light on the dashboard was "no problem". despite 2 efforts on her part to have this repaired, it continues to flash. worried that the sensor will not activate the airbag in the event of accident.

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 nissan rouge. while driving 25 mph, the side passenger air bag light illuminated without warning. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. the failure mileage was approximately 118,000.

Passenger air bag sensor stopped working disabling the passenger air bag.

Tl* the contact owns 2008 nissan rogue. the contact stated that after the vehicle was taken to be serviced, the air bag warning light illuminated. the contact stated that no warning light was illuminated prior to the repair. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that spiral cord reel and air bag needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 107,562.

Takata recall there is air bag icon flashing on the dash board in red. i took it to my local repair shop and it looks like this was a recall reported back in october 2008. i purchased this car in november, 2008 and i am the original owner. i called local nissan dealer and they said this recall does not pop up based on my vin and they will not do anything for this issue. my local repair man said in order to fix this, i have to change whole seat which could cost me about $2000. this is serious safety issue and local dealer does not want to take care this issue. i am sure any safety issue should be taken care of by nissanusa. if someone was driving and killed by the accident because the airbag did not pop up, what would you do then.

Tl* the contact owned a 2008 nissan rogue. while the contact's vehicle was at a stop sign, another vehicle crashed into its rear passenger side. the air bags exploded and emitted smoke and dust. there were no injuries, but all the passengers required medical attention. a police report was filed. after all the passengers had exited the vehicle, the vehicle rolled away while the gear shifter was in drive and crashed into the rear driver side of a third vehicle. the vehicle was towed to a salvage yard and was destroyed. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 74,000.

Airbag warning light came on in car. i took the car to nissan they told me it was the sensor in the passenger seat cushion. they reset it and told me the airbag would deploy if the passenger had their seatbelt on. i had a passenger in the car with their seatbelt on and the warning light that states #2 passenger airbag is deactivated. nissan had told be before they reset the sensor that it would cost $1000 to replace the cushion with the sensor in it. i dont know if i believe the car or nissan, will the airbag deploy or not. i dont have $1000 to replace cushion and when i contacted nissan they told me sorry your car is no longer under warranty and there is no recall out for this airbag. i dont feel safe driving a passenger in my car not knowing if the airbag will deploy or not. i do not want anyone getting hurt or worse. is there anything i can do?

Takata recall i bought a nissan rogue in 2008. soon afterward the sensor went off to tells us the the passenger-side airbag was off. that light has stayed on ever since. about eight years ago, the airbag warning light began flashing. when i took it to nissan, the technician said the sensor in the seat was faulty, and it would cost over $500 to fix. i thought that was too much, and i thought it should be covered by the dealer, but they would not fix it. it's been broken/flashing ever since. when the recall for takata airbags began, i recognized that my car was suffering from the common complaints about faulty airbags, and since people were dying i was concerned. i checked online and found that 2008 rogues were part of the recall, so i again took my car to nissan, but they said my particular car was not covered by the recall, though many 2008 rogues were. i then called nhtsa's vehicle hotline, and the person recommend i call a corporate nissan north american number (1-800-647-7261). i talked to a nice woman who said she would turn in my complaint and someone would get back to me the next day. a man called and was again told that my rogue was not in the recall and that nissan, therefore, would not cover this problem. i'm particularly worried as i live in hawaii, which is very moist, and this seems to increase the risk of the airbag going off. whether it's a takata aribag or not, this was clearly a faulty product, so i feel it should be fixed by the dealer.

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 nissan rogue. while the vehicle was parked, the air bag warning light illuminated. the contact stated that the information system read "passenger air bag off x2". the vehicle was taken to a dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. the failure recurred several times. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 114,100.

My mother in law was driving on wednesday last at around 35 mph. it was raining and for no apparent reason the side curtain airbags deployed. it was taken to the dealership and they told the insurance adjuster that this was due to a collision even though there was no collision. the car doesn't have a dent on it anywhere. the technician said that the underside of the car was "all beat up". having been an ase certified mechanic, i don't recall any airbag sensors underneath the car. they are making her insurance pay to correct it.

While driving about 25mph the airbag light on the dashboard stated blinking and the light showing the passenger air bag is off stayed on. i took the vehicle in to kingston nissan for inspection and to diagnose the problem they said the ocs unit failed. and it need a ocs seat unit. i google this issue and saw that it was a recall for this vehicle. i contacted nissan co sumer affairs filed a claim and they said they said they will not replace the part. nissan dealer is charging me $1691 to replace the seat.
