The sun visor on both sides of nissan murano keeps falling and especially while driving. this is a very common issue and nissan needs to address. *tr

Sun visor left side. *tr

The driver side sun visor does not stay up. it keeps falling. i have spoken to nissan and they said it is not a warranty item. i have searched the nissan forums and read where one nissan mechanic, (metro273) said that this is a faulty problem with the sun visor and he has repaired many. to my point this presents a hazard for the driver because if the car is in motion and this thing falls down, the driver has to make a split decision by taking his eyes off the road to remove the obstacle that is blocking his or her view. nissan should warranty this item and replace it for free. *tr

The sunvisors will not stay up and cause great distraction and low visibility. *tr

Sun visors will not stay up. constantly coming down and obstructing visibility while driving. very unsafe. *js

This is the second time the driver's side visor has suddenly broken and come down to block my view in the middle of driving. i replaced the original for the same problem 3 years ago. seems the issue was not actually fixed. it now falls down regularly and suddenly blocks my view. i'm told its $400 to fix it again. why hasn't it been recalled? there is obviously a dangerous problem with these visors. *tr

The driver's side power seat somehow broke under normal wear and tear. the seat leans to the left side and wobbles to the front and back. therefore having to accelerate, decelerate, turn corners and go over rough road causes the seat to move all over the place. i believe this causes a safety issue while trying to drive. this is a nissan design flaw that should be on a recall notice and corrected by nissan free of charge to the consumer. there are numerous complaints regarding this seat and for many, the dealership wants to charge some outrageous price to get the problem corrected. another issue is the driver's side visor which flops down unexpectedly while driving for no apparent reason. when returned to it's normal place, it will fall down. this causes another safety issue while trying to drive. the visibility is compromised and an accident could very well occur. please address these design flaws for recalls. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 nissan murano. the contact stated that the driver side sun visor would repeatedly fall from its housing, obscuring the contact's vision of the roadway. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where they replaced the visor under warranty. the failure recurred approximately eight months later. the manufacturer was contacted and offered no assistance. the failure mileage was approximately 75,000. the vin was unavailable. updated 06/05/12 *bf updated 06/07/12 *js

sun visor driver side failed to stay up and suddenly falls. the dealer quotes $300 part + 150 labor just to replace and did not guarantee it won't failed again. of course is not covered by nissan. how many other brands beside nissan have you seen with this problem? i am simply appalled by the lack of concern from nissan. after reading complaints about seat collapsing, wheel bearing going out, visors falling blocking the view of the driver, steering hoses braking causing fire, in vehicles with low mileage i cannot believe nissan does not identify this as a safety issues and allows the consumer to pay for these faulty components. the fact that nissan does not stand up behind their products is an insult to everyone who bought this product. nissan offers no assistance despite the clear premature failure of the components. this is my first and last nissan vehicle. *tr

The driver side sun visor began flipping down on its own. it is a major safety hazard, as it can fall and obstruct vision temporarily. i have been reading that others have the same complaint on the murano. *tr

Our nissan murano has a driver side sun visor that fails to remain up while driving. it will continually fall down without warning, this is not only a surprise, it blocks our view suddenly. nissan refuses to replace it even with our extended warranty. we know it is a serious safety issue, we have removed it from the vehicle. *tr

The visor on the driver's side constantly falls down prohibiting the driver from seeing the road. it will not stay up for an extended period of time. multiple people with the same make and model vehicle have reported having this problem to me as well. *jb

Drivers side visor began swinging down and blocking vision intermittently during high speed travel and bumpy conditions. the visor has continued to degrade and swings down under almost any movement. i had a quote from a mechanic to replace this item, but the cost seems excessive. the visor is currently held in place with duct tape/ velcro, but the home fix is not effective or long lasting. *tr

While driving at approx. 45 miles per hours the sun driver's side sun visor suddenly lowered from the "up" position, completely blocking my view of the road in front of me. this problem persisted intermittently then the visor would not stay in the "up" position at all. i had to remove the visor in order to see, but i am then blinded by the sun at times creating an equally dangerous situation. i have read several online forums and this is an ongoing issue that needs to be fixed. there is no fix for the visor, just a forced replacement at $300.00. *tr

The driver's side sun visor falls, blocking view. i push it back up and the next crack in the road makes it fall again. nissan dealer wants over $200 to replace. it does not matter what the speed is. a crack or bump in the road makes it fall. *tr
