The driver's side sun visor fails to stay in the up(retracted) position effectively restricting the vision of the driver when it falls into the view of the driver. this will occur suddenly while driving and is a significant safety hazard. *tr
Sunvisor drooping than falls in line of vision. *tr
We also had the drivers side sun visor of 2006 nissan murano drops down unexpectedly while driving, my daughter almost had an accident in orlando, fl where is she is a student!!!. this is a safety hazard and is extremely startling to the driver when it drops down and impairs vision. also it can drop 2-3 times within a 2 mile stretch of highway. it will not stay in it's upright position. we also took the vehicle in to a nissan dealership in here in tampa, fl and was told that nissan would not repair or replace the defective visor because it was considered "cosmetic" and was not covered under warrantyand also called nissan's customer care department and was told the same thing. this is not a cosmetic thing, it's a true danger! what is it going to take from nissan to wake up and do something, someone getting killed!!! to replace the stupid sun visor would be over $400.00, nissan should at least give folks a discount who are experiencing this problem. what is the big deal, it would be goodwill and make a lot of happy, safe customers! *tr
Sun visors on my 2006 nissan murano fall down when i go over rough pavement or dips. i push them back in place, and as i am driving they start working their way to the down position. dealer says my extended warranty will not cover it. this is definitely as defect in part workmanship. nissan needs to admit parts are defective. *ln
Driver's side visor will not stay in place. obstructs visibility when driving. cost to replace/fix is $400+. *tr
I have a 2006 murano and the drivers side sun visor is now falling down while driving so visibility is my complaint either chewing gum or velcro will hold it up. our local nissan dealership wants $400.28 for a new visor.......! its just a matter of time before the drivers of such vehicles get killed just because of a sunvisor.........the lawyers are starting to line up with their hands out..get ready nissan!!!!!! *tr
Driver's side visor on my 2006 murano is broken and flips down, will not stay up. defective part! i have seen many complaints about this same issue on muranos. *tr
Floppy sun visors 2006 nissan murano. both sun visors will no longer remain in place. they impair/block sight and are very distracting. this makes it very unsafe to drive as you have to keep fighting with the visors to move them out of the way so you can see. many, many other murano drivers have the same problem. this is clearly a problem nissan needs to address/recall before major accidents occur because you can't keep both hands on the wheel since you have to keep moving the floppy visor out of the way so you can see. not being able to have a clear line of sight with a visor constantly in your way is a serious problem. i have tried to find a solution for this problem but nothing seems to work. it is a manufacturing/design malfunction. this problem is just as bad as people driving while on their cell phones. dangerous. *tr
My sun visor keeps falling down while i'm driving. it interfere my driving ability. *tr
The driver side sun visor unexpectedly drops, blocking the driver's view. for me it completely obscures my view. this will happen randomly. the warranty does not cover the repair (repair costs in excess of $435 quoted to me). i have read pages and pages or online forums with people having the same problem with 2003 model year through 2006. nissan does not offer a repair or recall at this time. *tr
Drivers sun visor drops down in your face, can't see the road. *tr
Driver side sunvisor on murano suddenly does not stay fully up or fully down. makes it very difficult to see. could cause head injuries in an accident. *tr
Sun visor falls down into line of vision when car hits a bump and makes it impossible for tall drivers to see the road. visor will not stay up. this results in having to hold the visor up with one hand while driving the car with the other hand in order to see the road. dealer wants $500 to replace visor. this appears to be a common problem with 2003-2007 muranos. *tr
I have a 2006 nissan murano and for the past several months the driver side "sun visor" has failed to stay in the up position. this is a serious safety issue as while driving the visor drops down and obstructs the view of the driver! i have been to the dealer and was told that this was a systemic issue on all nissan murano's and that they have had literally hundreds of complaints. they told me that it was not under warranty and "should have been a recall item" due to the serious safety risk! they were sympathetic to the issue but unwilling to replace the visor without charge for the part and labor! i have researched this issue and found thousands of complaints related to this visor issue and nothing has been done to fix the problem! since seeing the dealer my daughter had an accident due to the visor dropping into her line of sight causing her to hit the back of another vehicle while approaching an intersection. *tr

2006 nissan murano - left hand (driver's side) sun visor failure to stay flush with roof. the part falls into the view of the driver creating a safety concern. the failure occurs constantly. to correct the issue a $404 part needs to be ordered from nissan ($404 for a sun visor with a lighted vanity mirror, seriously???) nissan should take action and recall this part based on hundreds of occurrences being discussed on forums. *tr
Sun visor on 2006 nissan murano became loose and now constantly drops down into field of view while driving at slight bumps in the road. this now happens every time the car hits a small bump, and partially obscures vision. *tr
The driver side sun visor on the our 2006 nissan murano is very loose and often falls down, obscuring the drivers vision of the road. *tr
Driver visor does not stay in place keeping sun out of driver's eyes. it either does not hold in place at all or drops suddenly to block visibility. *tr
Drivers side sun visor of 2006 nissan murano drops down unexpectedly while driving. this is a safety hazard and is startling to the driver. when it drops down it also impairs vision. it can drop 2-3 times within a 2 mile stretch of highway. it will not stay in it's upright position. i took the vehicle in to bankston nissan dealership in lewisville, tx, and was told that nissan would not repair or replace the defective visor because it was considered "cosmetic" and was not covered under warranty. i then called nissan's customer care department and was told the same thing. this is very frustrating. the car is only 4 yrs. old and in excellent condition. the dealer told me that the cost to replace the sun visor would be $458.00. when i went online to try and find a less expensive replacement visor i discovered that there were many other people experiencing the same problem, from at least as far back as 2004. the visor has to be defective and nissan should assume responsibility for fixing it. this sun visor, in it's present condition, can be responsible for causing an auto accident. *tr
2006 nissan sun visor drops down unexpectedly while driving. *tr
While driving, the driver's side sun visor will fall down to completely down position, completely blocking view of road. this will happen when visor is in the completely up position. a previous owner has replaced the visor for the same issue before. *tr
I am writing about the sun visor on my nissan murano 2006. it drop and covers my eyes and its very dangerous. i have seen hundreds of posts online where people are having the same issue. nissan needs to recall and fix these. its really dangerous. *tr
The driver side sun visor on my 2006 nissan murano won't stay up anymore. like the other complaints, it just drops down. on occasion, it will stay for a short while, only to drop into my line of sight while driving!! definitely safety hazard that nissan needs to address. *tr
Solar visor not secure. has fallen repeatedly during normal driving. presents major safety hazard as view of road will be impaired when visor fails to remain in up position.
Drivers side sun visor falls down while driving, will not stay up in the correct position. *tr

As i drove my nissan murano off the lot the driver side sun visor wouldn't stay in place. kept falling blocking my view while i am driving. the next day i called the dealership & they say that it wasn't covered under the warranty & they will replace it for $400 for a new one. i did get an used one somewhere else & it too doing the same thing. *tr
2006 nissan murano. drivers side sunvisor will not stay in the "up" position. visor is very stiff trying to push up, and continually stays in the "down" position. *tr
Drivers side sun visor unexpectedly dropped down while driving. the visor will no longer stay in place, causing a significant safety hazard. once back in place, the visor will drop down on its own. i have had to use a bungee cord that goes from the rear-view mirror across the visor to the driver's side ceiling handle. *tr
The driver side sun visor on our 2005 nissan murano no longer stays in position. the visor will just 'flop' down when hitting a bump or any other abrupt maneuver. when the visor flops down the vision of the driver becomes impaired. the driver can push the visor back up into its original position but the visor will then just flop down again without warning. the dealer will not replace the visor under any warranty. the owner of the vehicle is expected to pay between $400-$460 for a new visor replacement. *tr
I have a 06 nissan murano,,the driverside sun visor falls down while driving without notice,,which can and may cause an accident,,dealer wants 400. plus to fix,,this issue is not uncommon it seems,,i would hate to see nissan get hit like toyota,,this is something nissan knows about,,maybe this may have to be handled by the media,,they seem to get things done. *tr

Tla* the contact owns a 2006 nissan murano. while traveling at speeds of 10 mph and up, the driver?s side sun visor would fall without warning, obstructing the view of the driver. the vehicle was not taken to the dealer for further inspection of the failure. the manufacturer advised the vehicle was outside of factory warranty and would not provide any assistance. the failure and current mileages were 50,000.
Purchased a 2006 nissan murano and now the driver's side visor drops down causing a safety hazard whenever i hit any type of bump or swerve in the road. the passenger one already had to be replaced for the same issue. the failure occurs every day, several times per day. in searching the internet, i am finding that this is a common problem with these visors. should not have to pay $400+ to fix something that is a common problem and should have been fixed by nissan a long time ago.
1. nissan murano's sun visors slowly break and fall down and wont stay up. 2. it will not stay up now causing major safety issues. 3. part is way to expensive to replace. *tr
Sun visor drops from desired position all the way down into line of sight on it's own.
2006 nissan murano drivers seat and sun visor. my 2006 nissan murano has had two parts fail that i believe are a safety concern and warrant a recall. the 1st part is the drivers seat. i'm not a large person but the left side seat bracket broke and now my seat rocks left and right. i can't raise the seat up and down because only the right side works. the seat also bounces up and down. apparently this is a very common problem with the murano and nissan's excuse is "wear and tear." seriously??? nissan offered to replace the driver's seat for $1000 +. the second part that has failed is the driver's sun visor. whenever i hit a bump, the sun visor swivels down and totally blocks the drivers view out the window. this is not safe. nissan offered to replace the sun-visor for $350. *tr
Driver's side sun visor suddenly drops in front of driver's field of view. the visor will not remain in the up or "stowed" position when the vehicle is in motion. visibility is 0% and only remedy is to hold the visor up with one hand and steer vehicle with the other. *tr
The driver side sun visor on my 2006 murano is defective and nissan's gold extended warranty and nissan corp is claiming this shouldn't be covered. this is clearly a defective mechanical problem with the visor which should be covered; considering it blocks the drivers view while driving when it abruptly comes down nissan should take great care in taking care of this issue. this is something i've complained about since 2008 when it started with a small rattling sound coming from the mechanism but the dealership refused to admit the problem was the visor and tried to point to the plastic clip holding the visor in place. it would tragic for someone to experience and accident for this problem and it would be great if someone would put this issue under review as soon as possible. *tr
Driver's side sun visor does not stay in a static position. visor can either be locked upright, or if unlocked and in use, falls straight down blocking the view of the road. the visor falls every time i use it, and i can not get it to stay put. i was told the visor was outside of my warranty and would cost approximately $400 to replace. i see several other complaints online about the exact same problem. *tr
My driver side sun visor is broken. it flips down on its own all the time while driving. this is the second time filing a complaint form. i never received a response from my first complaint form. i was on the higway again and it fell multiple times almost causing me to get into an accident. i know this isn't just my murano with this problem. many people have this same exact problem. *tr
The driver side sun visor is faulty. the first time i put it down it was very tight. the next time i put it down it was like something snapped and now the visor hangs extremely loose. as i am driving, it continuously falls blocking my view of the road. this happens especially while driving on highways. i know this is not due to regular use as i have seem many complaints in different nissan forums about this very same problem. are you going to be the next toyota and wait for someone to crash and die due to a safety issue that you are not recalling? *tr
Sun visor will not stay up, either up against the headliner or against the windshield. both sides have now failed to stay up. *tr
On my 2006 nissan murano, the driver's side sun visor will only stay in the full up position or fully down. to drive in the sun, i hold the visor up with one hand. dealer has replaced a clip, but that did not work. they say the only solution is to replace ($400 +) the sunvisor. *tr
Driver's side sunvisor hangs in line of sight when driving. has to be moved over side glass to see out of the front. *tr
