Airbag light for passenger is on. also the back right passenger door won't open from the outside or inside. door not locked and child lock is off.
The airbag light came on when the vehicle was in motion. when able to safely pull over to the a parking lot the vehicle was shut off and turned back on. the light stayed on.
All steering wheel function have stop working including horn. radio, cruise and blue tooth controls. during a trip on the high way

I brought my vehicle into kia for several recalls. one was the door locks being faulty. i said i had no problems but they decided to replace them anyway. now my rear door lock is broken. the other issue is when accelerating the engine revs. it only happened a couple of times at first, but now it happens every time i drive. it seems like the pedal is getting stuck. my last issue is the air bag. i was rear ended on the highway and pushed into the car in front of me. the whole front end was banged up and the airbag never opened.
My airbag light came on and never went out. it is my understanding that while this light is lit, my airbags will not deploy. i see that this is a common problem with kia vehicles. please issue a recall!!

Front passenger seat occupant airbag sensor mat failed. the airbag light came on without cause. took the car to the dealership and they diagnosed the problem. my research shows that this is a systemic problem with kia's. many kia's have already been recalled. it does not appear that this model has been recalled as of yet. please advise.

The air bag light is on and will not go off. there is nothing in the passenger seat and it does not go away when turning the car off and back on. this means that's the airbags will not deploy in the casebook of an accident which is a hazard.

Last week the airbag light came on in my car and apparently it is the coil spring in the steering wheel. from what we have done our research on, this is common for this vehicle but is not a recall. i do believe that if the is occuring in several of these models, it should be a recall. this is dangerous because the airbags may not deploy if the car is wrecked. i would appreciate proper change for this to be a recall.

I have been a kia customer for over 7 years and are on our third vehicle from them. traded my kia forte for 2011 sorento in 2016. it has had a lot of issues with the electrical system and it cost $1,200 to fix it. recently on jan 25th my timing chain broke and also ruined the engine. now told that i need new engine for $5.100. i have learned of many recalls on sorento engine motor but starting for the year 2012.

My car driver side air bag light came on suddenly and dealer wants to charge to diagnose and repair. the driver seat lower back adjusting cushion does not function anymore. the rear driver side door does not umlock dealer wants to charge to diagnose or inspect and order the door handle base mechanism part, then charge for that and installation.

I took my 2011 kia sorento in to kia motors in american fork, utah to get the airbag light checked out. it has been on for quite some time now. they told me that the ocs mat needed to be replaced and wanted to charge me $1600 to fix. since my airbags can not detect anything without getting this part replaced, its a major safety issue. this needs to be recalled.

My 2011 kia sorento is accident-free. when the mileage was at about 85,000, the air bag light turned on when i started the car one day, and has stayed lit when the car is running ever since. around the same mileage, i noticed that the passenger air bag "off" light is sometimes lit when there is an adult passenger, and it is sometimes not lit when no passenger is in the passenger seat. from what i read online, this is a known issue that is expensive to fix (the clock spring electrical assembly and the passenger occupant sensor mat or entire passenger seat needs replacement). it looks like kia had a recall on this same issue for the 2007-8 kia rondo and the 2006-8 kia optima; this should be a recall for the 2011 kia sorento. i will get this repair completed since it is an obviously unsafe defect - i read many consumer complaints about air bags failing to deploy in an accident.
At 106,000 miles, the airbag alert light came on. took it to be looked at. code reader stated that the ocs mat on the passenger side was bad. quotes $2,000 to completely replace seat.

The srs light came on while driving
(1)transmission got stuck in 2nd gear while driving on the highway. transmission would "jump" every time the car hit 50mhp. could not replicate after sitting in driveway overnight. (2)abs light is constantly on-told it is a clock spring. kia not worried about it. (3) doors stick-drivers door will lock itself and cannot open from outside. this happened 3x while car is running and i exited to get mail. front passenger will not close- have to knock handle to close. (4)backup camera intermittent. (5)bluetooth does not pair with phone-intermittent. (6) gas door sticks- must hit release button dozens of times before it opens. (7) tire pressure guages broken.

Air bag light came on at 70000 miles. dealer ran a scan and we were told the passenger ocs mat was bad. they quoted us at $1600 to fix. needless to say we are not happy as this is a safety issue that should be recalled.
First it started with drivers door not working. i can't get in the driver door because the handle doesn't work. so i have been crawling thru the passenger door to get in the car. but now i can't do that because the passenger door won't open from the outside either. you pull on the door handle and it does nothing. what if there were a fire and i was in the car and someone ran up to get me out they would not be able to open the doors. next problem is i have an extensive oil leak in the car. so bad it keeps dripping down on the alternator whicheck has forced me to replace that twice now. i took it to kia and they said it was the timing chain cover. it would cost 2,000.00 to fix. i looked online and found out that a lot of other people are having the same issue and it seems the timing chain cover is a misdiagnosis. apparently the oil sensor is the culprit. it malfunctions because of its location in the engine. i don't have 2000.00 just to play a guessing game. this problem needs a recall. lastly, due to the engine issues the oil leaking the car has now decided if i'm driving 60 mph it will all of the sudden shift the engine almost to a dead stop and then you feel as if you will fly thru the windshield because now the car won't go out of fourth gear manually or automatic. please help.
The electrical malfunction of the airbag has drained and caused the battery to go dead. also has messed up the controls in the steering wheel.
Car shifter is not engaging and disengaging resulting in not being able to place car in park. this issues was a recall before however; the fix didn't resolve the problem and kia has not offered a new fix. also, air bag light still illuminating after recall fix. again kia refuse to fix and issue could cause air bag not to deploy in an accident. also, back rear passenger door won't open from the inside or outside.
Air bag illumination light came on & stayed on at 65450 miles. dealership states air bag won't deploy as system is rendered inoperable. needs sop clock spring & ocs matt. total estimate for repair is $2000. & it's not under warranty. this is a safety issue that needs to be addressed by kia sooner rather than later.
Tl* the contact owns a 2011 kia sorento. while driving 30 mph, the air bag warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to the dealer (jim ellis kia of kennesaw, 1221 auto park drive northwest, kennesaw, ga 30144) where it was diagnosed that the clockspring needed replacement. the contact stated that the clockspring was replaced, but was concerned that the air bag inflator was not also replaced. the contact was also concerned that the vehicle might have an electrical failure because the headlights failed to illuminate and the headlight bulbs had been replaced several times. the same dealer stated that the air bag warning indicator would remain illuminated because there was also a failure with the air bag sensor in the seats. the contact stated that the air bag sensor in the seats was not repaired due to the cost. the manufacturer was made aware of the failures and informed the contact that she would be responsible for the cost of the air bag seat sensor replacement. the failure mileage was 96,000.

At 100,900 miles my air bag light came on, car brought to the dealership and i was informed by air bag sensor is defective. in order to fix the problem i will need to pay $1900 to get entire drivers seat replaced. i currently am driving with no air bags in the entire car.
