We bought this vehicle from hoffer jeep in topeka, ks. the vehicle was won buy a person at a casino event so we are the 2nd owner. the vehicle had, i believe under 2k miles, upon our purchase. since, we have owned the vehicle it has consistently had a "death wobble". i simply cannot count how many times at or under mandated highway speeds this vehicle has entered a 'death wobble". the most recent was from returning from manhattan ks to kansas city the vehicle entered a "death wobble" no less than 4 times. the last time i was driving 5 miles under the 75mph speed limit when hitting some road chatter, nothing significant, caused uncontrollable chatter in front wheels, axle, generating strong vibration through the steering column and wheel. i released the accelerator and the vehicle came out of the "death wobble" at 27mph, on an incredibly busy highway. this was/is unsafe at highway speeds. the dangers it caused could have been catastrophic in nature and need to be addressed before someone is killed. this vehicle is stock and has not had its suspension, tires, etc., adjusted or manipulated ...
After steering damper recall was completed i'm still experiencing the "death wobble".vehicle only has 2,600 miles and has been to the dealership 3 times and get told every time that everything looks good. problem occurs when i hit a bump or a rough spot on the road and the vehicle and steering wheel begin to shake like the vehicle is jumping on the road. typically occurs when traveling over 50 mph and only corrects after you slow down to 35 mph. issue continues to happen and fca is not addressing a permanent resolution. i feel the vehicle is unsafe and can pose a life threatening situation for me and my passengers.
Ongoing isue with death wobble brought back to the dealer for a third time and they changed out the steering dampener assuring me that this would solve the issue while driving at 50mph on rte 290 auburn ma vehicle hit a bump on the highway and started the whole jeep shaking and causing an unsafe condition
After going to dealership and getting death wobble fixed vehicle by removing and reinstalling the steering dampener the correct way and exhibited the same issue and once again almost caused an accident vehicle travelling at 50 mph on highway 290 holy cross corner and vehicle started to shake and wobble uncontrollably had to slow down to 30mph to make the problem go away called dealership and they stated that they would need to order a new steering dampener
2020 jeep wrangler unlimited rubicon. the driver side control arm bracket on my front axle is not welded on one side. the weld missed the bracket all together. there is a recall for some 2020s, but mine is not listed. jeep told me since mine is not listed, there is nothing they can do. also even if it was impacted, there is no fix yet. my front axle could come loose at any time due to missing weld causing a loss of control. this is a serious safety concern and they will not do anything about it.
While driving at highway speed 50mph on rte 290 at college square corner vehicle felt like wheels were going to fall off lot of shaking and almost lost control very dangerous slowed down to 30mph and vibrations subsided this has happend once before on same day jeep wrangler has 500 miles on it dealer "putnam jeep" has been called and will be bringing jeep into shop asap
When traveling at highway speeds, a small bump in the road causes the steering wheel and front suspension to shake violently. the jeep dealership has replaced the steering dampner twice but there is no guarantee it will fix the issue
My jeep started to shake violently after driving over some small bumps on the highway while driving 60-65 mph. i had to pull my car over. i thought i blew a tire, but i did not. i drove off without the vehicle shaking after i waited a few minutes. unfortunately, it happened again in the same day when i drove over a rough patch on the highway traveling the same speed. i pulled over again and waited before driving off. i did some research and learned this is a know safety problem with jeeps called a "death wobble". i made an appointment to have my jeep looked at on 2-4-2020, however the service garage had to cancel my appointment due to their internet being down. i have rescheduled for 2-7-2020. if the service does not correct the problem, what am i to do? thank you, [xxx]. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

Driving at about 60 mph when i went over bridge separators and the whole front end started to wobble and shake until i slowed to approx. 40 mph thought the front wheels were going to come off.
