Cracked cylinder #6 head.
My 2015 jeep grand cherokee has 85,820 miles & the radiator was found leaking when brought in for a engine code indicating the thermostat was bad. the thermostat was replaced ($130.00 part) and then the chrysler dealer told me the radiator needed to be replaced. my dealer mentioned this has been more common with jeeps and they now keep the radiator in stock. it cost just under an additional $900.00 to have the radiator replaced. if so many jeep's are having the same issue why has a recall not been issued. i have never had a radiator fail in any of my vehicles so soon. is this not justification for a recall? i would think owners should be notified (ahead of time) of this potential failure if indeed it is this common an occurrence.
Parked the car on a rainy night post a 6 hour drive. 2.5 hours after the car was turned off, the alarm system and other electrical components began to go off intermittently, not in the typical alarm pattern. key fob and lock would not respond. car would not start but some electronic components continued to work, including uconnect. finally stopped after 20 minutes. the car then shut down completely and would not start. called aaa and they sent out the battery truck. aaa battery voltmeter check revealed an initial read of 10.9 volts; then went to 0.9. jump start would not take. car completely dead except for power seats, which continued to work. had to tow vehicle to dealership who ultimately determined that body control module had malfunctioned. similar reports and a recall for this body control module same malfunction due to wiper blades on dry glass in 2011-2014 models.
I took the vehicle to towbin dodge in north las vegas for a check engine light. are used an extended warranty service to get the car looked at and repaired. the maintenance representative advised me that there was an open recall for the omissions on the diesel engine. i was aware of the eco-diesel recall and had decided not to take advantage of this recall. i was prepared not to receive the $3000 that diamond chrysler fiat was offering for customers to get this done. i advise matt the maintenance representative not to accomplish the recall.when my wife went to go pick up the vehicle to our surprise the recall was performed. matt and the service manager jesus admitted to their mistake of accomplishing the recall without our authorization. i have asked him to revert the software to the manufacture default and they are not able to accomplish it. i have spoken to the district service manager robert. i asked robert to buy the vehicle back for me because i do not want itanymore. he said he would coordinate with damian chrysler fiat to see what could be done about this. i would like some assistance in coordinating with the ...
Ecodiesel turbo lag can be hazardous, 2-3 second delay. i will not let anyone else drive it due to concerns of getting hit or hitting someone.
My 2015 jeep grand cherokee has 70,000 & the radiator is leaking. my dealer & local mechanic told me the radiator needed to be replaced. my dealer told me that they have had so many jeep's in with the same radiator issues that they now keep the radiator in stock. it is going to cost $1100 to have the radiator replaced. if so many jeep's are having the same issue why has a recall not been issued. i have never had a radiator fail in any of my vehicles before 100,000. jeep should at least cover part of the cost.
My vehicle has a knocking in the engine my vehicle only has 26, 000 miles that should not be happening. i have my oil changes every three thousand miles..

We tried to enter hwy 65 north in mo . from a side hwy . hwy 65 is a 4 lane hwy , 2 lanes north and 2 lanes south . we crossed the 2 south lanes and waited till we could enter the north bound lanes . when it was safe to go i stepped on the throttle and the motor stayed at idle . it put us in the middle of the 2 norh lanes and stopped . i kept pressing on the throttle until we krept accross the lanes and out of traffic coming at us at 65 mph . this has happened several times . it has happened in town where we live in az . we also had trouble when we entered the road by our hotel . this is going to cause some one to be killed . this problem started after an emissions recall was installed . recall / csn 1 v08 - 3.0 diesel
One day when leaving a barbershop my wife tried to start our jeep and it would not crank. it would turn over, start for a second then turn off. after sitting for a while longer it started up and drove fine. this past sunday we were leaving a gas station to get on the interstate and in the middle of an intersection it shut off. all acceleration stopped and the jeep went into park and left us stuck in the middle of the intersection. once we used the manual park release and got out of the intersection we let it sit for a little bit. my wife got in the driver seat and it started right up. we then drove it to an auto parts store and had the check engine light diagnosed as the neutral safety switch. i spoke with a local dealership and was told that that is 'not a part listed' in their parts catalog. this vehicle shut off and my pregnant wife could have been t-boned in the blink of an eye.
Out of nowhere, my 2015 jeep gc decelerated, all the lights on the dash came on and the following messages popped up: auto park disabled, service electronic throttle control, and ended with service shifter. the truck would not accelerate in the middle of a highway. i took the vehicle to the dealer where they cannot seem to find the problem. the windshield wipers turned themselves on along with the check engine light and the hazards.
Since doing the eco diesel update jeep has a serious lag / stall when accelerating and when going around 20 miles per hour when accelerating. numerous times when crossing out into traffic the vehicle has a lag/ power delay almost causing an accident. this was not an issue until the eco diesel update was done. its currently at the dealership, per the service manager they are aware of the issue and have had numerous complaints with the jeep and trucks due to the eco diesel update, but they have no resolution.
Ecodiesel emissions recall. after having the emissions recall done to my vehicle on 8/20/19, the vehicle is extremely sluggish and non reliable. the turbo lag is horrible, sometimes 1-3 seconds, sometimes 4 or 5. transmission doesn't seem to know where it wants to be at times. none of the issues are constant and therefore you never know when you pull into traffic if you will have the power needed or stall and get hit. safety hazard is an understatement and families will be hurt over this poor attempt at a "fix". jeep was extremely responsive and had more torque readily available prior to the recall. now it is gutless and i wouldn't attempt to hook the boat up to it.
For vehicle with vin number [xxx], after a vo8 flash of the ecu due to emissions recall settlement the car has serious "lag" in acceleration from the stop position. this is a safety hazard as the lag creates a collision risk from on-coming traffic. currently the manufacturer does not have a solution for the software update that has caused the safety hazard. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
