My 2000 honda crv has been recalled for a faulty drivers air bag inflator than can explode and send shrapnel at the driver causing severe injuries or death. honda does not have the parts to fix this problem and the dealership and the manufacturer are refusing to supply loaner cars while owners wait for repairs. we are expected to drive around in a car that has a potential bomb sitting 1 foot from our body due to their defective product. they should be required to provide loaner vehicles while they solve their logistical problems - not ask their customers to play russian roulette with an explosive device. i contacted my local dealership and the manufacturer as soon as i was advised about this problem - they showed no real concern for my safety - this is just wrong!
Three days ago my daughter has a car accident. her car was hit and the other driver left the scene. since then the airbag light is on and the seatbelt is not working. i took the car to a dealership and there's no recall. we are worried because my daughter could have been seriously hurt and the airbag didn't protect her. the car was stationary when it was hit.
I was involved in a frontal crash on the freeway and my airbag did not deploy. my car was totaled with extensive front end damage in which both doors could not open all the way due to structural damage. i am still awaiting the police report. my nose was bruised and had lacerations.
Yesterday november 7,2019 i was driving and the passenger side airbags was came in off and on constantly, no one was in the passenger seat. i'm concern and worry as safety .my warranty just expired in may this year. what should i do?
Tl* the contact owns a 2018 honda cr-v. while the contact's spouse was driving, the brake pedal was released and the vehicle struck the rear of another vehicle. the driver's frontal air bag deployed. the contact was concerned that there was a defect with the air bags. neither vehicle was damaged. the contact's spouse sustained some scratches to the left arm, but did not require medical attention. a police report was not filed. the vehicle was driven to the contact's home. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the dealer was not notified. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 21,000.
During a fairly low speed collision (~25 - 30 mph) the airbags deployed. however, they did not fully inflate. car was a total loss and title was transferred to the insurance company.
I have responded to honda's requests for information re: i no longer own my vehicle at least four times! i provided trade in info in 2008 when i purchased a new car. why haven't they recorded the information i provided? i feel honda is not acting in the best interest of the public when i see they don't record information such as i've provided numerous times.
