The ignition is keyless. i pressed to turn off the engine and it shut off. but i forgot to shift into park. i exited the car. the car started rolling backward. i ran back to it, jumped in and shifted to park, stopping the car. if i hadn't noticed and stopped the car, someone might have been hurt. when you stop the engine, there should be an automatic shift to park or an automatic activation of the emergency brake.

From 3,500 to now 9,500mi 5 seperate occasions sensor suite has quit functioning for from 10mi to a 100mi till come back on. in all but 1 time (which recurred going to dealer) by coming to stop or restarting engine has returned to normal. still have throttle, brake, gas guage, lights etc but no functions that require pushbutton or sensing functions. all happened while at hyw speeds. 1 time car totally quit (like shut off with switch) for a sec free rolling at 65mph then came on where left off.

I have had numerous problems with my crv, most recently a complete malfunction where car did not go over 10 mph and dashboard lights all flashing on alert. honda mechanics told me this was my fault for overfilling my oil tank. wanted to charge me $2500 for a new catalytic converter. after much negotiating they lowered cost. however i have since seen this is a common problem with this model and should have been recognized as such. *tr

Honda 2018 cr v touring awd has steering issues on 3 separate occasion. sept 2019, oct 2019, dec 2019 when making a right turn the power steering pulled to the left into the wrong lane & the 3rd time almost into a ditch it took two or us to over ride that. during that 3rd time we also had 4 warnings: acc, lkas, cmbs and rdm. i had amber and red warning lights showing the brake system, lane departure, acc & forward collision warning illuminated on the dash. i pulled over and shut the engine off for 30 mins. each problem taken into the dealer we could not duplicate, and your vin # is not on the recall list. i also notified honda still no answer.

My windows and doors are open and unlocked, including hatchback. has happened at least 4x's in last two weeks in chicago during holiday season! *mp

Lights, windows and sunroof all opened spontaneously overnight while parked in the downstairs garage of my home. remote not touched. read online of many cases not so lucky that opened during rain storm resulting in a soaking wet car. apparently there is no option to turn off control that might trigger this. will take photo for documentation if it happens again

Problems first presented: auto door lock malfunction, auto- rain sensing wiper malfunction would come on when dry, not come on when wet; navigation system went crazy on the highway flashing on and off when using it; twice the auto breaking system came on when on the highway with nothing in front of me....going 50 mph! i very well could have been rear ended. i saw no obstruction on the road. i have had the vehicle in twice to the dealer only to be told it does not happen and they have no bulletins regarding these issues.

While driving on slick roads i was using blueooth to have a telephone conversation. a car swerved in front of me causing me to swerve to avoid an accident. the bluetooth disengaged and i heard the doors automatically click to lock (they were already locked). i assume these are built in safety features. when i came to a stop, the electronic door lock overrode the manual lock for the driver side door and would not unlock; i could not exit through the driver side door. i tried many times to use the fob or to manually unlock the driver side door to no avail.i had to exit using the passenger door. the driver side door lock refused to work until i used the physical key to open the door from the outside. using the physical key appeared to re-set the electronic door lock system and it then worked normally.

My 2018 cr v has been in for service with the same problem 5 times. basically on my morning commute from norco to los angeles i sporadically get an error message, road mitigation system problem, adaptive cruise control problem, collision mitigation system problem, road departure system problem along with a brake light cycle through my dashboard and all these systems fail to work. this will last the rest of my commute and all lights are off when i drive home later on in the day. the first couple of times i brought the car in, they sent it home with me because they could not find error codes, problem still present. finally this last time the technician adjusted some cameras to see if that could fix the problem, it did not. my car is still in your shop at penske ontario and the technician who called me yesterday said this is a normal feature of this car, and the honda hotline does not have this problem reported. he informed me that the car is picking up something that is causing it to fail. my commute is at 4am on a non busy freeway, i have not noticed construction nor ...

On 9/23/19 parked the vehicle. shut off vehicle while still in drive. the vehicle did not alert me that the car was not in park. got out of car and door locked like everything was okay - no other beeps or notifications. vehicle rolled out of driveway and hit a tree causing significant rear damage (thankfully did not hit any other vehicle or pedestrian). brought to honda dealership and they could not find anything although i explained that the warning indicators work intermittently. finally on 10/2/19 i videotaped an incident where it did not alert me in anyway when i shut the car off and left in the drive gear (images from video attached). honda states emergency parking brake should always be engaged; however, this does not fix the fact that the safety notifications are not working as expected. definitely a vehicle safety issue.

Tl* the contact owns a 2018 honda cr-v. while driving 65 mph, the cruise control and road departure warning indicators illuminated. there was also a mitigation system failure and a beeping noise was heard. the driver coasted into a parking lot and depressed the brake pedal, and all the warning indicators turned off. the contact called buerkle honda (3360 hey 61 n vadnais heights, mn 55110, (651) 490-6600) where an appointment was scheduled. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. the contact stated that the failure recurred twice. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 12,500.

My recent encounter was on a two lane road traveling at 40 mph. no cars were in front of me and a car was about 2 car lengths behind me. a mini school bus was heading in the other direction about 2 car lengths on the other side of the road. i had my two grandchildren in the car with me, when all of a sudden the car breaked hard sending all my things on the floor and scarring my granddaughters. i was shaken myself being nearly rear ended by the car behind me. i took it in to atlantic honda, and was told ' no problems were found on the computer and could not duplicate the issue'. 'never had anyone complain of this'. i also advised them, the break light flashes 'out of the blue' while driving on the highway with no other cars around. i was told to bring it in if it happens again. i feel on edge driving the car not knowing if it will break unexpectedly!

I continue to get random "lane departure" when driving down a normal road. have taken to the dealer twice and they can not repeat the problem. today i was driving on a one way street in city traffic with nobody in front of me and several behind me, as i was going through a signal light intersection the crv went into collision alert with a warning on the dash and beeping, it slammed on the brakes and i was almost rear ended. there was nobody in front of me or coming from either side of the cross street. this has happen one time before when i was passing through a construction zone and one lane had cones cutting a two lane down to one lane. it again slammed an the brakes as if i was leaving the road. i also have problems with the auto dimming headlights that dim when they should not and go to bright sometimes when meeting traffic and should be dim. i have taken to the dealer for this also more than one time and they could not repeat the problem. i also get random messages that power has been lost to my information center (pictures ...

Warning lights flashing then had software update ac control all that was on the bulletin , lights flashing again warning lights so at 38,000 had to have fuel injectors, one warning light came on since then after cutting car off hasn't come back on yet both stationary, and in motion .

The navigation/infotainment display works intermittently while driving the vehicle, it becomes unusable and also just blacks out so if you are using the navigation while driving it becomes inoperable and the only way to correct it is to pull over turn the car off and restart it which is dangerous. honda has stated that they are aware of the problem but have no solution yet.
