While riding there was a noise from the passenger side of car and it was the automatic door lock when the car is moving. the lock kept locking and very slowly unlocking. when i stopped the car (motor off) i tried it again with the same result. the passenger door locked and the slowly just unlocked by itself. i now have 20,033 miles on car and my extended warranty expired on may 11, 2013. now i can not secure my car when left unattended. *tr
On monday june 24, 2013, i put my children in the car, fastened their car seats, walked around to my driver door to find it locked. my children were locked in the vehicle in my garage with the keys in the ignition. (thank goodness i was still at home and was able to locate the spare key) the car is automatically locking itself within seconds of the unlock button being pressed on the remote. it locks and unlocks itself while driving at this point (july 1, 2013) this again poses a large hazard to transport children in a car whose doors unlock while driving. absolutely a safety defect! after some online research, this is a very common safety malfunction in 2007 crv's, yet honda has not made a recall. i guess they are not that concerned about safety. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 honda cr-v. the contact stated that the rear passenger's door unlocked independently. in addition, the rear lift gate failed to open. the vehicle was not taken vehicle to dealer for diagnostic testing. the dealer was contacted and stated that the failure could possibly have been caused by the door lock actuator. the failure was reported to the manufacturer. the failure and current mileage was 112, 626.
The left passenger door lock will not lock at all. the right passenger door lock will not unlock 80% of the time. all four door locks randomly lock and unlock while the vehicle is moving. sometimes if the button is pushed to unlock the doors, the locks will 'process' and sound like a machine gun as they go on and off for several seconds in a row. my child has opened the left passenger door (even though the child lock was engaged) while the vehicle was moving. the vehicle cannot be secured when left unattended because the doors do not stay locked, thus placing it at additional risk to be stolen. the locks are a huge safety concern to my family. after researching this on the web, it appears that numerous 2007 honda cr-v's have this same issue. *tr
The actuators that normally lock all door when the speed reaches approximately 15 mph are malfunctioning. currently, after every stop and start the door actuator seems to lock and unlock the doors multiple times. *tr
Passenger side door does not lock. i have a child and it poses a safety risk as the door does not lock. this poses a lot of risk to thief and others as it is not working as designed. *tr
My door locks (all of them) would not stay unlocked longer than 2-3 seconds when i want to leave the vehicle. i have carefully coordinate pressing the unlock button on my key with actually opening the door. if i am not quick enough, i must repeat the action. this very clearly looks like a safety issue. and by now honda knows this is not an isolated case. will it require a minimum number of deaths or injuries because the occupant can't get out of the vehicle in time in case of an accident or fire, etc. ?? the cost for the replacement of the actuators should not be borne by the owners. ( up to 4 @ $400 each). *tr
On june 10, 2013 i brought my 2007 crv into honda north, danvers, ma to get my annual inspection & a routine maintenance service. i mentioned i was having problems with my passenger door lock which was starting to lock automatically. the diagnostic uncovered that there was a problem with my actuator and on 6/28/13 i had this replaced for $325. on 6/29/13, one day later all "4" doors had problems. my two small children got locked in the car with it running when i stepped out of the driver door to retrieve something from the hatch back. when i closed the driver door, all "4" doors locked automatically and my two small children were locked inside!!! i can no longer use the remote key to open the doors, when i manually open the doors i have 2 seconds before all "4" doors lock to get inside. i am afraid that my children will get locked inside again or if there is an emergency they will be trapped inside. honda needs to fix this actuator failure before there are further incidents or fatalities because of this!! so far i have spent too much time & money on repairs and i want peace of mind that i have properly functioning locks. *tr
The passengers automatic door lock with lock automatically, then after 2 seconds it will un-lock automatically. this issue just started to happen appx 3 weeks ago. we cannot lock the passengers door anytime (i.e. during driving and/or parked in the carport). *tr
While driving my car, i noticed that the door locks started unlocking on and off with every acceleration increase of 10-15 mph (major safety issue for occupants). in addition, the passenger side door will not lock with the electronic key or by manual push. worse, the door lock problem led to my car being vulnerable to unlawful entry, and sure enough, my car was ransacked (items stolen) this week after i thought all my "dependable honda" doors were locked. after researching, i am disgusted to see that many honda cr-v (2007 model) drivers are experiencing exact or similar problems with the doors (un)locking. it is unbelievable that this safety issue hasn't been recalled yet. very unhappy!!! *tr

Electrical door locks started lock/unlock erratically themselves ,all doors.. while driving, stopping, parking. when you stop the car, they locking themselves and you can't open door till you press lock manually or remove the keys and press open button . *tr
I noticed today that the front passenger door lock will lock and then slowly unlock. it locks both with the remote and the auto lock feature, but will not stay locked. *tr
All the doors on my 2007 honda cr-v will not remain unlocked. once the unlock button is hit all of them remain unlocked for about 1 second, and then they all lock again. this results in a number of problems (1) have been locked out of car (have small kids in car seats inside the car), and (2) in the event of an accident, all of the doors will be locked and there will be no way to get into the car. *tr
Passenger side door lock started to unlock randomly, then would lock and unlock when driving. all other doors remained locked. i tried to reset auto locks in accordance with the honda crv owners manual. this worked a couple times for a day or so, then back to the same old locking /unlocking. the passenger door does not lock at all now leaving my vehicle and passengers in danger. when searching thru the internet for other possible fixes, i was caught off guard in finding so many others with the same issue. i see there was a recall on the 2006 honda crv's i have a 2007. in this day and age, there is a safe feeling when driving around and you have the security of a locked car door. i am not feeling very safe in my car these days and hope something is done by honda regarding this problem. *tr
The automatic door locks continually lock and unlock themselves. each time i restart the car, the door locks will automatically lock. after a few minutes, they will unlock by themselves. *tr
1. the driver's door could not be locked; 2. the rear right side door could not be locked and also could not be opened from inside the car. 3. the tailgate could not be opened. *tr
The first sign of a door locking problem started with my rear hatch not opening. the next day i found the rear passenger door does not lock and the locks keep clicking as you drive. my research on the internet tells me after drivers pay honda many hundreds of dollars for this repair the problem returns on another door or the actuator they replace fails again.this is a safety hazard for both a passenger falling out or a criminal getting in and attacking someone or stealing the car and or its contents. why is nothing being done when so many people are at risk.this is not a potential problem, it is an existing problem for crv, civic and accord drivers. *tr
Even when you lock it (or it locks automatically above 10 mph), the front two door locks will automatically open, when driving or even after parking the car. based upon other posts, this seems to be a chronic problem with the door lock actuator, and should be the subject of a recall. *tr ## vin failed ##
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 honda cr-v. the contact stated that all doors would lock with the exception the front passenger's door. the vehicle was taken to the dealer. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the vin was not available. the failure and current mileage was 40,000. *tr
Without warning, immediately after unlocking the door it would relock its self. *tr
While driving at approximately 25mph or while stopped, or while parked the door locks will lock and unlock on their own. my wife and i watched the door unlock while parked with the ignition turned off. this issue presents serious safety and security concerns. *tr
I'm having issues with the front passenger door lock mechanism. a couple weeks ago, i could not get the door to unlock. i tried the remote, the automatic button on the door, and even manually locking. nothing worked. then, yesterday, the opposite began. the front passenger door will not stay locked. again, trying all means of locking and nothing keeps it locked. it will initially lock, but slowly unlocks. as i'm driving, it will try to lock again at 9 mph, but doesn't hold. so, in stop and go traffic, i get to hear my door locking over and over again. i have seen several posts experiencing the identical issue. my dealer could not find any recall information. *tr
First issue was related to front passenger-side door lock. the lock can only be unlocked from the driver's side or with the keyless remote. several weeks later, the rear passenger lock on the driver's side began locking and unlocking when i went above or below 10 miles per hour. my mechanic said it was probably the door actuator and that i should take it to the dealer. i have not done that to date because i viewed it as more nuisance than safety related. after reviewing some online information i realized my first assumption may be incorrect. i called honda national to see what they had on this issue and possible remedies. i was informed that there was only a three year window for electrical issues; however, since the car is six years old, i will be financially responsible. *tr
The power door locks lock and unlock automatically. this problem was also in the 2006 crv and there was a recall due to the safety issue of doors unlocking while car was moving. honda is aware of this issue but refuses to repair the 2007 model. honda would rather charge consumers $400 plus for each lock actuator that has to be replaced. *tr
The doors unlock themselves whether driving or parked. when i use my remote to lock my doors two of my doors automatically unlock themselves. when driving and auto locks engage, two of the doors automatically unlock themselves causing the car to continually lock and unlock itself. *tr
Left rear passenger door locks when other doors are unlocked, and unlocks when other doors are locked. also rear hatch door now won't unlock. *tr
The right rear door lock reopens by itself after i lock the doors with the fob. the lock will not lock manually. hence i cannot lock the vehicle. several other people have complained of similar problems with this make and year vehicle - numerous complaints on the edmunds.com website. apparently, a class action lawsuit was filed against honda in january 2013 regarding this and other door lock problems of this year crv vehicle. from internet research the price is about $300 to fix per door. i am unable to fully lock my car both when i am in it and when i am away from it. hence we crv owners are now subject to any one getting in or waiting in our vehicles and causing harm to us. also any one can take anything or put anything into my unlocked car. we are open to some one jumping in our unlocked vehicles when we stop at traffic lights - especially at night. finally, the car door automatic door locking system seems to try to lock the mentioned malfunctioned rear right door every time i slow below 10 mph and then speed up. i hear the clicking sound when the door is trying to be locked. the attempts are unsuccessful, the door does not lock thanks *tr
Upon starting the car the front passenger door locks and unlocks randomly. *tr
Door locks continually re-lock after each acceleration past 9mph. and rear driver's side door lock actuator continually unlocks itself whether parked or in motion! extremely dangerous for children!! the cr-v is now incapable of being locked while parked. *tr
Automatic door locks will unlock on their own. this occurs when car is parked (so anyone can open the car and steal it or anything in the car) and while driving (which means even if you have locked the doors a passenger can open the door while the car is moving). *js
Door locks have suddenly started to randomly lock and unlock while i am driving. rear passenger door will not stay locked. *tr
Passenger door lock will remain lock after pressing unlock button on key and on door. lock actuator has a grinding sound when locking. *tr
On or about may 1st, 2013, i noticed that the driver side's passenger door lock was making odd noises even when the engine was off. shortly after, i noticed that when i would lock the car doors, the lock on the aforementioned door would open by itself. i took the car to two dealers and i was told that it would cost me at least $400 to fix the problem. i took the car to a mechanic and he fixed the lock; however, the mechanic told me that the door is going to be remained locked forever. it did not bother me much because at least my car would be safe and it could not be broken into. the next day, i noticed another problem! now the trunk is locked and there is no way for me to unlock it. *tr
The left rear door does not lock when using the fob or when in the car. all other doors lock, the back door tries to lock, and then automatically unlocks. when accelerating from a stopped position, the door will try to lock, but then unlocks. after seeing all of the posts related to this problem, i think honda should step up to resolve this. *tr
I have been having issues with the door lock actuator for the last 2 years, i have had them replaced, and now they are being replaced again. i can not lock them on the inside, and leaves my car open to anyone. i don't feel it is a safe. the dealership knows it is an issue yet they charge an arm & a leg to fix them. ridiculous!!! *tr
Passenger rear door lock not working. honda dealership said the door lock actuator is broken and needs to be repaired. this seems to be a common occurence. they charged me $280 for repair. *tr
Front passenger door wont stay locked. locks and then unlocks every time i slow down. cant lock manually either so no security. *tr
Began having chronic issue with rear passenger door locks. door cannot be manually locked and if i attempt to lock with key remote it immediately unlocks. i tried to see if keeping the child lock on would at least help keep it locked but it does not work. the car is constantly locking and unlocking every time i am in motion but immediately unlocks. this is very unsafe especially if transporting small children because the car does not stay locked at all. it is also unsafe to keep any belongings in the car overnight since the car cannot be locked under any circumstances. *tr
While driving my honda cr-v 2007 the locks would unlock and lock on their own. anytime i slow down and come to a stop the passenger side door unlocks. it will also never lock when i leave the car. i also remember months earlier that the dome light flickered when we had the doors open and putting stuff in the car. i didn't notice it for awhile and figured it was ok since it didn't happen anymore. *tr
After unlocking the door the door then locks itself. this happens both when you unlock manually or unlock using the fob. very dangerous as it locks you in the car and will not unlock. *tr
The rear door lock fails to lock. the rear door lock will not lock when using the key fob. the door can be opened while the car is traveling. the door tries to lock after every stop once the car is going again but still will not lock. significant safety problem as a child can open the door while it is moving. *tr
After unlocking the door the door then locks itself. this happens both when you unlock manually or unlock using the fob. very dangerous as it locks you in the car and will not unlock. *tr
It started with the rear passenger door lock unlocking and locking itself. now the other door locks are doing the same thing. as i am driving they are always unlocking and locking. i am scared my son will lean on the door handle while driving and the door will open. the car only has 43317 miles on it. *tr
Driver's side rear door lock moves itself into unlock position either immediately after locking, or within a few minutes of driving. the actuator will lock, but there is clearly a spring force that gradually unlocks the door during driving, or even when stationary in a parking lot. i first noticed the problem as the doors would continually try to lock in stop and go traffic. eventually, i found which door, when i opened it from the outside when all others were locked. it doesn't matter if the child safety switch is engaged or not. the door will still unlock itself. *tr
I own a 2007 honda crv whose front driver and passenger and rear passenger doors lock and unlock constantly as i drive. when i turn off the vehicle i cannot lock my front passenger door so that lock remains unlocked at all times. in addition, there have been occurrences where i park and turn off my car but i cannot unlock my front driver door so i need to slide across to the passenger side in order to exit my car. these issues have been both dangerous and annoying. the cost to repair each door is out of my reach so i have had to endure. *tr
When locking the front passenger door the door automatically re-opens.the door will not manually lock as well. honda will not take responsibility for the defect. a very big safety concern for the passenger sitting in that seat. *tr
My honda cr v 2007 door lock. it started about one and one half ago, the back driver door kept locking and unlocking as i drive. later the other door started to act up, now 04/05/2014, it opens while i drive. the driver side stay open (always) i cannot lock the car. *tr
The power door locks are malfunctioning. when unlocking the car to either enter or exit the vehicle, the car locks again automatically in less than a second. this occurs when using the remote to unlock the car as well as when unlocking the car from any door both outside and inside manually. in addition to this malfunction being a major inconvenience with nearly having locked myself out of the car numerous times (particularly at the gas pump and in store parking lots), it most certainly is a safety issue as well. it makes it difficult both entering and exiting the vehicle at any given time, let alone in the event of an emergency, especially with kids in tow. *tr
2007 honda crv problems with door locks. the driver's door lock automatically unlocks while the vehicle is moving and can't be relocked. at first it was the passenger door lock, got that fixed @ honda and cost about $300 back in oct 2010 @ 38500 od mi. now, the driver's door lock has the same problem! using remote keyless or driver's master door lock button, all doors lock except for the driver's door. it constantly makes grinding sounds and lock clicking on but does not lock!!.. tried to lock manually, but key does not work, afraid to force it and have it break in the lock. safety issue and as well as property damage (unable to secure property). i hear this has been an ongoing issue with hondas crv and other models, dating back quite a few years and makes sense if honda contracting the same vendors! quality control issue? the recent recall for 2012 hondas and acuras for defective door locks!! if using same vendor - same problem - and why only 2012 if older cars have had the same problems? recall should be for older cars as well! ***the other problem is the powertrain @ 66000 od mi. - recently noticed that at speeds of 10 - 15 mph ( after every stop) car sluggish as if about to lose power (dangerous safety issue) recall issues! *tr
