The doors locks keep un locking and the front end keeps radleing and the stering is real tiet
Front passenger door door fails to unlock by the manual mechanism. egress of vehicle is not possible.
The front passenger door lock got jammed 3 times since 2014. met with an accident in jan 2014 with impact on the driver side.driver side lock was working but passenger side lock got jammed.the passenger couldn't come out due to that ,endangering their life.got repaired from honda dealer, repairs paid by the insurance even though it was under warranty.in 2015,i went to same honda dealer for recall of driver side lock accuator.they fixed the driver side but didn't fix the passenger side lock even though they were informed about the persistent problem with passenger side lock by me.it was under extended warranty in june 2015. had another minor accident in 2016 in another state and passenger got stuck in the vehicle again.we got it repaired at a local repair shop since no honda dealer was closeby..on may 26,2018 the passenger side door lock jammed again when brakes were applied suddenly on the freeway.the passenger got stuck again in the vehicle .i called american honda corporation and informed them about this recurring problem with passenger side door lock jamming again and again.this is playing with the life of the passenger because they can't escape in an emergency..they gave me a case number and directed me to go the honda dealer.case no is 08726902..the honda dealer informed that the lock needs to be replaced and cost of replacing it is approx $400. i called honda corp again and informed them about the repair cost.they informed me that they can't help with this problem and i will have to bear the cost.i i also informed them that this is not a matter of cost of repair but matter of life when the lock gets jammed frequently. i was very rudely told not to call them for this problem.. we have nobody to turn to regarding addressing this life threatening problem and we are spending our money for repair cost. the vehicle has only 42000 miles .kindly investigate.
I had my door lock replaced on the driver side after the recall a few years ago. however, just 2 weeks ago the front passenger door lock went from automatically unlocking and locking and graduated to a loud strange scrapping noise every time i drive the car. the noise is very alarming because it happens intermittently while i proceed after astop or turning a corner to slow down or after i turn the car on. it always happens two times after i turn the car on.
In december 2017 the power door lock actuators failed on the front passenger and tailgate, so the doors could not be opened, even manually. i had to crawl across the center console to exit the car. this could be very dangerous if it happened during an emergency situation. we were parked in a parking lot at the time. a recall had been ordered after a class action suit was filed in 2015, but only the driver's side door was included. that was replaced and the warranty was extended for the other doors for only 6 months from the date of the settlement. i was responsible for the cost of replacing two actuators that were obviously factory defects. honda refuses to reimburse me or replace the actuators on the other two doors that will someday have the same problem. i was told by them that would only pay if ordered to do so by a court.
Driving at 60 miles per hour on the highway when the vsa and other dash lights came on, the vehicle semi-stalled out, and cruise control went out. it self corrected and i kept on going. this happened 3-4 times during a 60 mile drive. then just the check engine light came on - i drove home without incident. today my mechanic hooked it up to a computer and it is a pcm problem. there was a recall on 2007 cr-v's for a tcm/pcm problem in 2011 but according to american honda it is "vin specific" and my vin doesn't have this recall problem. but my car has this problem, it sounds serious, and now i must pay to have it fixed :( i won't ever buy another honda!
My front passenger door and the back hatch have locked up and will not open or even unlock.
I bought a used 2007 honda cr-v two weeks later i started having issues with the door locking actuator i when i did my research i found out that there is a recall on that issue i when i called honda they told me that its out of recall perimeter. need help on this matter please
Auto lock system not working properly. the door unlocks itself after activating the main power switch. this allows the door to be opened while the vehicle is in motion.
Takata recall: on 12/6/2016 per recall honda dealer replaced both driver side and passenger front air bag inflators. in july 2017, while car in park and running, dash airbag sensor light came on as passenger was putting on her seat belt and remained on while driving until car engine was shutoff. upon restarting car, under same conditions, airbag sensor did not come on again. on 7/27/17 this issue was evaluated by the same dealer with testing revealing "front passenger weight sensor - intermittent failure". told repair of such is not part of air bag sensor recall since it is in the seat, starting with replacing seat side assembly with just the part costing approx $1100 + labor cost-unknown cost, advised for safety, to avoid unexpected air bag deloy, do not have passenger in front seat if air bag sensor light is on.
Rear right door getting locked automatically even after unlocking it. my son sits on that side and while trying to get him out door gets locked automatically almost immediately after unlocking it or shutting off the car. could be a very dangerous situation in an emergency situation.
Door lock actuator: in 2015 received recall on door locks model years 2007-2008 (see attached notice/settement). in 2013 and 2014, i replaced the front and back passenger side defective locks (scraping sounds/locking passenger in by opening but immediately locking) at my expense. due to the recall, honda reimbursed me for these and paid to have the driverside front replaced by dealer before it became problematic. in december of 2016 the back door lock on the driverside of the car started making a scratching sound upon autolocking. when i had it at dealer for airbag recall fix, they said all they did is lubricate it as recall only was for them to fix drivers door lock. no improvement in lock noise which worsened to the point of a high pitch screaching sound lasting 2 seconds and not only occurred when autolocked when moving car from park gear but would suddendly occur while driving when turning or starting up from stop light which was very startling and distracting to driver. i contacted honda in may 2017 about issue but they said even though they covered the other 3 power door lock actuators as part of therecall, they wont cover this remaining lock, car is too old. the attached settlement document does state warrenty on 4 occupant door lock actuators but they only paid for 3. due to the progressively worsening unexpected startling loudness of the door lock right behind the driver, posing a safety risk while driving, i had it fixed 6/27/2017, paid $211.
Have replaced two door lock actuators in last 3 months. starts with failing door lock not locking with rest. next door locks engage and disengaged while driving as i slowed down/speed up in traffic this was on both freeway and city streets. the drivers door lock was replaced under recall back a few years. the first lock fail was back passenger side big concern for child safety, most recent door lock fail was front passenger. i suspect that i will be replacing the third lock actuator at a cost of $340.00 out of pocket soon. *tr
I took my car in for an takata airbag recall; when i got the vehicle back my ac no longer worked. before bringing it in, i had a recharge & system check by honda.
For a couple years, my back passenger side door has had a lock issue. in order to open the door, i must hit the "unlock" button at the exact moment someone goes to open the door - otherwise the lock slides back to locked position within seconds. yesterday, my back driver side door locked itself, and i am unable to unlock it in any way, including manually. the lock is jammed and the door will not open. about an hour after noticing this issue, i tried to open my back hatch, and it too is permanently locked shut. i did some research and found that there was a 2014 class action lawsuit about these issues, which i was not informed of. i received no notification in the mail about this. the claim period has since ended, despite this being an ongoing and widespread defect, and honda refuses to cover the costs to fix this issue. furthermore, this presents a safety issue, as a passenger could be locked in the car at any time - including an emergency situation in which the car may be on fire. i have even found on a forum a story of a woman whose entire car permanently locked itself with a child inside.
I have had a few instances where my 2007 honda cr-v moves in the opposite direction and my car rolls after it is in the 'park' gear. it is important to note that i was not on any hill or incline and the land was flat. these instances took place on a city street. on july 23, 2016 i was leaving from work. i turned my car on and put my car into 'drive' but it started rolling backwards instead. i immediately put my car in park and turned my car off. after doing this, the problem resolved itself. on october 6, 2016 i turned my car on and put it in 'reverse' but my car started rolling forward instead. i put the gear into 'park' and my car kept rolling forward! i immediately stepped on my brakes and shut the car off. a few minutes later i tried to put my car into 'reverse' again, but it still rolled forward. it was very scary because i almost collided with the car parked in front of mine. i brought my car to my honda service center in manhasset, new york on october 7, 2016. my complaint of my car rolling while it is in the 'park' gear is directly related to recall number 11v395000 from 08/04/2011, but the service center at advantage honda does not acknowledge that my car is part of this recall. in this recall, the outer race of the secondary shaft bearing may be broken during certain driving styles. as a consequence, the recall states: 'additionally, broken pieces of the outer race or ball bearing from the secondary shaft may become lodged in the parking pawl resulting in the vehicle rolling after the driver has placed the gear selector in the park position.' the problem i have experienced with my car three times is dangerous because it happens spontaneously without any warning.
Takata recall. my driver side airbag was recently replaced by rick case honda and i received another letter in july 2016 that the passenger airbag needs to be replaced and also one door lock has to be replaced. and this time there will be no loaner vehicle be provided as before. i was told not to seat anybody in the passenger seat until the problem is resolved which could take up to two months. this creates a great inconvenience for us , we are driving sometimes app. four hours on a road trip and the passenger would be confined in the back seat. what about if we have four passengers? i greatly would appreciate an answer. also, i tried to contact a honda dealer ship in north miami fl. and the phone wrang more than 20 times and nobody answered the phone, i could not even get to speak to an operator. the rick case honda dealer is unfortunately app. a 60 mile round trip for us, therefore we can not go back there to have the passenger air bag replaced. i need a dealer closer to my home that could replace the airbag on the passenger side and at the same time replace the door lock. also, a great concern to me is this late information regarding the passenger airbag.how long was it known that the passenger air bag is also faulty? my vehicle is being driven daily and most of the time someone was in the passenger seat.
A/c compressor and clutch failure results in a/c blowing hot air. happens when vehicle is stationary or any type of driving condition.
Each time driving from 0 to 10 miles per hour my back right door locks and unlocks. have had previous problems with the front door doing that and got it fixed on my own. if i get this fixed and turn in the bill will it be paid? the previous bill from 2015 was not paid, they needed the original bill which i did not have. what do i do?
After i had my honda repaired due to a recall for something due to a problem with its suspension, my tires can not be balanced and the tire warning light does not go out. the ac just stopped working prior to the summer of 2015,. the right front door lock stopped working about the same time and now the starter had to be replaced. the car was getting its tires replaced when the tires would not balance and the tire warning light would not go off. the starter would not work after i left an appointment in the parking lot. i do not know if the car was movig or stationary when the door stopped working.
I came out of work and started my car. it smelled horrible, like an electrical fire. i brought it to my honda dealership and they said it is the clutch mechanism. the a/c compressor failed and it is going to cost $1600 to fix. this was legitimately out of nowhere with no issue up until this point in time and it took me completely by surprise. upon looking online, there are several reports of similar situations. a recall really should be done. this is an extremely expensive repair for owners to be burdened with.
Both rear power door locks began malfunctioning as of 11/01/2015 they click open at about 10 miles per hour. every time i slow down and then speed up they click open. it is constant while driving. children in the back are not safe
All my door locks don't lock the locks actuates as normal but they unlock and cannot be locked by key the actuators activate when driving stopping etc. i've researched this on line and several people have the same problems the dealers say it will cost $314-$500 plus labor to replace what ever needs no recall this is a safety for security i have90206 miles on my vehicle at present.
The rear driver's door will unlock when the car is fully braked (at lights, stops, etc) and when the car starts again (approx 5mph) the doors will lock again. at 10-12 mph, they will unlock and remain unlocked for the entirety of the drive (until stopped again). the child protection setting is on. when the car is stopped and the engine is turned off, the doors will not lock with the keyfob. the door remains unlocked while the rest of the car is locked. this is not only a safety issue, but an issue of personal protection and is a non-deterrent towards theft.
The ac clutch does not engage and is apparently a known issue on models between 2002-2008 due to no heat shielding and placement. the result is failure of clutch due to excessive engine heat. repair costs are more than $2000. only certain vin#'s qualify for a recall and this should be one. customers should not be penalized for poor design.
Doors keep trying to lock every time car reaches 8mph or whatever the standard is. the doors remained lock but they keep trying to lock again. reset to lock when car goes out of park. now one door unlocks itself. i lock all doors and then check the rear left door and it is unlocked. i then have to manual lock it. i've already replaced the actuator on the driver side front door twice.
Since 2014 sep. the power steering very noising from engine room when make a turn. don't know when the steering wheel will broken ,and unsafe. rear passenger power widower window not working and driver side read doorlock not working.
I have had to replace 4 out of 5 of the door locks. the first door lock to stick was the front lock on the passengers side door. it stuck tight and would not open with the remote or manually. the lock was stuck shut and we were unable to open the door. if we had gotten in an accident and needed to get out quickly, my passenger would not have been able to open the door to exit the vehicle. which makes it a very dangerous situation. one by one, all three locks either locked up or started making the noise proceeding the lock up issue. i took it to honda and explained the problem, but since my warranty had expired, they refused to pay for the expensive repair. i felt like the issue was so dangerous, as i have 2 daughters who ride in the car daily, that i paid to have them fixed. now the front driverside door and back door is making the same noise again and the process is beginning again. i am at the point where i may have to trade the car in for a new car to escape this problem! i will not buy another honda! *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2007 honda cr-v. the contact stated that there were sightings of mouse droppings in her vehicle, which was kept in a farm shed. the following day, she caught a mouse with a mouse trap. there had been no failure or physical damage to date. the current and failure mileages were 10,000.
Condenser from air conditioner failed due to stone hitting it. *jb
Honda cvr 2007. this car has no ash tray or lighter. where do they think we are going to put out lighted cigarettes????????? they are charging over $80.00 to install a lighter. this is another direct attempt to control smoking. public beware... those burning butts are going to get tossed out the window... fire! *tr
