On october 30 2013 i received a certified letter to inform me of a lkq wheel recall. this recall is for a new aftermarket wheel identified as 2009 honda accord. i have been unable along with numerous individuals to get information on what has prompted this recall. that being said i believe there needs to be more monitoring of aftermarket parts recalls. i don't believe this is a viable way to get these wheels off the roadways. shops that purchased these wheels should not be relied upon to inform their consumers of the dangerous wheels. the company that sent out recall is lkq-keystone corporation. wheel part number aly63934u20n in this recall they state " this recall is being conducted due to potential defects which could cause the wheel to fail, resulting in an accident in which serious injury or death could occur. i see this as a very serious and dangerous incident. please look into this extremely serious issue. *tr

Under normal use, rear brake pads fail at an alarming rate. my original pads were completely gone at 15,000 miles. now the second set of pads is worn out at 30,000 miles. front pads seem to be barely worn, and are original to the car. *tr
Rear brakes on 2009 honda accord lx need replacing at 18,000 miles. *tr
Air conditioner in 2009 honda accord won't work. brought to dealer and they say a rock hit the condensor which is located in front behind the openings in the bumper without any screen or protection. they do not cover in warranty and we have to file with our insurance which may raise the cost. someone my husband works with has the same year accord and this has happened twice to them and honda will not cover. seems to be a design flaw which is costing consumers and their insurances money. *tr

I purchased a 2009 honda accord v6 on february. when i apply the brakes my car makes a loud squeaking noise. the noise is getting worse. i've been to the dealership over 4 times and have called in regards to them fixing the problem. they told me that it was the brake pads. they are still in the process of investigating the problem. why is this taking so long? the honda consumer affairs department said that if i fix the brake i would have to pay out of pocket. honda will not fix this problem unless its recalled. my left speaker as well has shorted out. i went to the car audio store and had the speaker replaced with a new honda speaker and once again it shorted at a high volume. the gentleman at the car audio store informed me that this was a manufacturing problem on the car. *tr
Withing a few weeks after i bought the honda accord 2009, in germantown, md, in december 2008... it started making a screeching sound in my brakes. everytime i go get it checked, they say it's fixed. then as soon as i drive away, the noise is still there... what the '!@#$% is this? i just got this brand new car... and started to make noise... this is a safety concern... now, the year is ending... and the noise is there... i have no choice but to considering filing suit ... *tr
