Withing a few weeks after i bought the honda accord 2009, in germantown, md, in december 2008... it started making a screeching sound in my brakes. everytime i go get it checked, they say it's fixed. then as soon as i drive away, the noise is still there... what the '!@#$% is this? i just got this brand new car... and started to make noise... this is a safety concern... now, the year is ending... and the noise is there... i have no choice but to considering filing suit ... *tr
Brakes have squeaked since the first day of purchase have made an attempt for repair appointment to fix but have been told that squeak will come back that more than half the 2009 hondas do that and that they don't know why it's do it that. *tr
2009 honda accord. squeaky brakes since i drove if off the lot. salesman said it was because car was so new. squeak got worse. have taken it back 4 time for service on this matter, deglazed, sprayed, trimmed rotors still not resolved. honda is not forth coming about this character flaw in this vehicle. after googling issue today i found this is a defect with 2008 and 2009 honda accords. they need to be made responsible for correction without futher inconvience to buyers. *tr
After only 4000 miles on my honda accord coupe 2009 the brakes had started to squeak. everytime you hit the brakes this issue occurs. i have not done anything as of yet because it is a brand new car and based on information found on the web it seams majority of individuals on forums have the same issue. this is a premature wear on the brakes possibly because of bad pistons and should be recalled based on the fact that if not it can end up with a liability issue. *tr
I have a 2009 honda accord exl w/navi 4 cylinder. it currently has 6000 miles and i bought it in september 2008. i have taken it to the dealer 3-4 times about the brakes squealing. it occurs every time i apply the brakes, no matter the speed or use. they first told me it was too new and they had to break in. then that it was because they were cold due to the winter weather and i needed to drive 55-60 mpg and slam on the breaks to warm up. then it was due to new brake pads not being made like they used to be when they used asbestos in pads. then it was because all the rain had caused a build up and they needed to be cleaned. everytime they told me it was normal and something i would have to deal with. it is not normal for a brand new car's brakes to squeal everytime they are applied. this seems to be a common complaint on this website and honda needs to do something about it. *tr
The day after i purchased my 2009 honda accord ex 4dr sedan, the brakes have squeaked. i have made several attempts to get this issue resolved, however every time i speak to either honda corporate or the local dealership , i am told "the mechanics are working on this issue and honda is aware." i have had my car serviced 4 times since i purchased the vehicle for the obnoxious sound coming from my braking and still there is no resolution. i am told time and time again, there is " no safety " issue, however, no one seems to know what the true problem is. so how are the 100% sure there is 'no safety issue?' i am in the process of filing a lemon law suit against honda and i feel very strongly about the need for a recall. *tr
Brakes squeal loudly on 2009 honda accord coupe (v6) since purchased new in september 2008. all four brake pads have been replaced and all four rotors have been shaved twice with no effect. rear brakes are also wearing out prematurely, new pads are almost gone with less than 14,000 miles on car. was told by the dealer service garage that honda is aware of the problem but they instructed dealer not to do any more repairs on the car. that was in 2008 and all through 2009 and no repair is in sight. because of the constant squealing sound, there is absolutely no way to tell when brakes are worn out and they are clearly wearing out prematurely. this seems to me that this would have to constitute a safety issue. *tr
Upon leasing a 2009 honda accord i noticed an audible squeaking sound emitted by both rear brakes. this sound is clearly heard when brakes are applied and vehicle's speed is below 25 miles per hour. i returned to dealer and was reassured that this was normal for new brakes on honda accords and that over time the sound would stop. at this point, the car was at less than 1,000 miles. i currently have 22,000 miles on the car and i was informed that the rear brakes are worn to 2 mms. similarly front brakes are prematurely worn and are measured at 6 mms. after researching the issue online i have found thousands of other customers who are experiencing an identical problem with the 2008-2009 honda accord braking system. honda is offering a replacement of rear brakes, but cannot guarantee whether this will solve the issue. *tr
My 2009 honda accord had 18,000 miles, mostly highway miles. i began hearing a metallic sounding noise. ii took it to the dealership where i bought it and they said my brakes were worn down to the sensors. for 240 dollars they replaced my rear brakes. honda paid half after i complained. i only had my car for 6 months. something seems to be wrong with the rear brakes on the honda and honda should fix this problem. thanks for your time. *tr
