2008 honda accord. consumer writes in regards to repairs on vehicle and seeks reimbursement since vehicle still under warranty. *smd according to the invoice, the fuel and check engine light illuminated. the technician found a misfire in cylinder #5. the cylinder 5 spark plug was inspected and there was evidence of oil burning creating an ashy build-up on the plug.

There is a loud grinding/rattling sound after a cold start up. *tr

2008 honda accord v6. i took it in for pre-mature rear brake wear at 25,000. the next week the engine surged and i crashed into a concrete barrier while parking. *tr

Engine malfunction light came on. tightened fuel cap per om. days later took to dealer for service. dealer discovered that allegedly an animal had crawled above gas tank (below rear seat/frame) & gnawed away some of the plastic or vr valve attached to the gas tank creating a "pinhole" leak for fuel vapor & liquid....assembly requires replacement of whole gas tank. *tr

Car idles rough and stalls,check fuel cap message comes on.this was after they replaced alternator due to lights flickering and radio and fans going in and out.alternator did not help and now the idles is high and eratic, system that detects missing fuel cap is inop. when car comes to a stop the idle stops real hgigh and comes down as you sit at the light.the dealer says the owners maual is wrong about the way system works.i drove two identical ones and while the cars were still of poor quality,the idle was the same as before they messed with car.other issues include bad seat tracks, bad upulstry, paint on bumpers improperly finished. honda refuses to fix these issues. i am taking it under the lemon law and urge all others to do the same. *tr
