Problems with 2016 Ford Fusion POWER TRAIN

When i'm going down hill at high speeds , the transmission down shift very hard when i apply the brake at all. it sounds like a very loud revving. once i press the accelerator again it goes back to normal. it's very concerning , my car has 59,000 mile on it and dealer says they couldn't feel anything, well that probably because they didn't drive it down hill.

Got in the parked vehicle and the display on the dash said the vehicle was in neutral but shifter was in park and would not move. the transmission linkage bushing had failed and the cable was no longer connected to transmission. this is a known recall issue for this model. dealership advised the recall does not apply to my vin and i am responsible for repairs.

Vehicle slamming into gear while attempting to reverse. harsh and delayed shifting by the transmission between park/reverse/drive. occurs when the vehicle is at a complete stop with the brake pressed. vehicle also failing to downshift to a lower gear after slowing down.

Tl* the contact owns a 2016 ford fusion. after shifting into park and shutting off the engine, the vehicle suddenly rolled backwards. the dashboard display indicated that the transmission was in reverse; however, the shifter was in the park position. the vehicle was towed to mccluskey chevrolet(9673 kings auto mall, cincinnati, oh) where it was diagnosed that the shift cable was fractured. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and did not assist. the failure mileage was 50,000.

Vehicle gear shifter shows vehicle is in park, but the dash light for neutral is illuminated. vehicle states transmission is not in park when ignition is turned off and vehicle rolls. ford motor company chose a recall on 2016 ford fusion with a 6-speed automatic transmission which is the vehicle i own. when entered vin number into system it shows no recall. but recall number 18s20 shows it is valid on my vehicle even though it is supposed to be and they will not cover the repairs . vehicle was stationary in my driveway when this happened.

2016 fusion was in park turned off, started as normal, put it in r to back out of a parking spot, pressed break pedal to shift into d but my vehicle got stuck in r then shut off on its own. put my shifter in p but the light on my dash still reflected that it was in r throwing the error message "transmission not in park", along with other random error msgs, exp: stabilitrac, traction control, advancetrac, engine hot (it was not),put transmission in p to start/stop, etc. my backup camera was stuck in reverse camera mode being the tranny is stuck in reverse. ebrake worked fine so i engaged that to keep car from rolling. i removed the center counsel, cupholder and shift casings to try the red manuel shift lever that is under the shift mechanism to make sure it was in fact i'm park, it was. tried starting it while in the neutral position- nothing. thought maybe it was the "brain" so i disconnected battery, let sit for 20min to clear out and reset- nothing. researched online for a minute found quickly other 2016 fusion owners having the same problem and it being the recall of ...

Owner of vehicle was driving home from school in manhattan. he proceeded onto the 59th street bridge ramp when vehicle lost power and shut off.. he then put the vehicle in park and restarted.. when he shifted out of park, 'vehicle not in park illuminated on the dashboard notification.. light illuminated in all gear selections besides park and neutral. vehicle would not drive forward or in reverse and eventually had to be towed via triple a(aaa). vehicle was jacked up the next day and fluid appeared to be leaking from between the seams of the the transmission casings, as well as from the front pan cover. grey rtv silicone was present around the pan cover and flaked off with little effort. vehicle was last serviced at crown ford lynbrook after many complaints and no resolution from ford service on jamaica avenue. crown ford claimed they inspected the transmission, found no fault other than being low on fluid. fluid was drained out for measuring and inspecting.. over 7 quarts drained out and the fluid was very thin, and black with specs in the fluid.. a technician friend scanned for codes and generic code shift solenoid d was pulled..

6 speed automatic transmission failed with 60849 miles on the vehicle. transmission was put in reverse and whole vehicle started shaking. vehicle drove in drive position. i drove to safe place and had vehicle towed to a ford dealer. dealer found metal shavings and black transmission fluid in transmission. replaced planetary ring gears and bearing assembly-thrust .

Recall 19s16 (transmission linkage failure) has affected my car and made it unsafe and unreliable. the vehicle will not go into park or shift gears. bartow ford states that they can not fix the issue in an appropriate amount of time. i have to wait 7 days until they will repair the issue

I pulled in to a parking spot and shifted my vehicle into p (park), took my foot off of the brake an it started moving. i looked at the gear shift and it was on p (park), but the display showed s (standard) which i was not using at all. i had to turn the key to off to stop the vehicle. then it would not start and it rolled backwards while off.

The car said it was in park and the backup camera was on and it broke the shifter cable

2016 ford fusion making loud rattling noise from engine. no check engine light ever came on, but ford saying engine is catastrophic engine failure. connecting rod in piston broke loose. how does no check engine light ever come on? this could have killed me on the highway. how does a 3 year old car with 128,000 (mostly highway) miles go into catastrophic engine failure? car has been meticulously maintained.

I received a recall notice in may regarding the transmission shifter cable. this part has now broke on my vehicle and ford is not willing to do anything to fix my vehicle. the vehicle is currently at my local ford dealership who is wanting to charge me $500 to replace the shifter cable. i have spoke with fords corporate office and they tell me there is nothing they can do at this time.

Tl* the contact owns a 2016 ford fusion. the contact stated that the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 19v362000(power train). on one occasion, when the vehicle was started, the contact was unable to maneuver the vehicle out of park. the vehicle was left at the scene of the failure. the contact called an unknown dealer and was informed that a remedy was not available. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and suggested taking the vehicle to a dealer for diagnostic testing. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was unknown.
