While driving the vehicle's transmission began to act up. i was not able to drive over 30 mph. the transmission would slip while driving. *tr
Under warranty and with very few miles on the car, the dealership fixed my ford fiesta after i reported the car stalling. this problem was happening within the first year. i could be in the middle of an intersection waiting to turn left, idling in traffic, stopped at a light...car might stall. i dreaded being on a busy social highway stuck in traffic because the car might stall and often it did. i was told it had something to do with oxygen or lack thereof. fast forward two years. my car started stalling again but this time it also seemed to hesitate, jerk, or not respond when i accelerated.then the engine light came on. (side note: during the last year the ac stopped working properly and was making a horrible noise. a mechanic quoted $1000 for a new condenser & compressor). well, with these last two problems i am no longer under warranty. my car was diagnosed with a bad throttle body sensor ($880 repair). i have researched online and heard from others that this is all too common with ford fiesta's and other ford models. i have called ford motor company to report this and complain about these problems. they opened a case number and directed me to ask the dealership where i took it for repairs if they would help out. they did not help with the throttle body repair. i learned just yesterday that a family member with the same car with low miles - 2011 ford fiesta - is complaining of the same problems. sounds very much like he may be faced with the same, expensive repairs. i hope there will be a recall for this throttle body sensor problem. this stalling and acceleration issue is a real safety hazard. it is not only very nerve wracking in traffic, but is dangerous as well because the car can stall at any moment. *tr
About a year ago i was going up lombard street in san francisco with a friend of mine and 2 younger sisters. we were waiting in the line of cars, as there is always an amount trying to go up the famous street. after 10 minutes in traffic my engine line came up with a warning stating the engine was to hot. when the cars moved up mines would not accelerate. i tried pushing on the gas and the car would not move. i wasn't sure what to do since my car was stuck on an incline with a heavy amount of traffic so i told my friend to take the wheel. he soon noticed that although the car didn't want to go up it was able to reverse. so his idea was to go on the opposite side of the street where there were no cars going at the moment in reverse. with my little sisters frighten in the car we decided it was a good idea to get out of the heavy traffic incase i needed to call a toe truck. we reverse the car on the opposite side of the street all the way down and was able to park it corner in reverse. we decided to wait 20 minutes and see if the car would turn on, luckily it did. soon after i took it to ford to let them know about the problem they stated it was not the transmission and changed a small part in which they claim it would fix it. 2 months we went to get ice cream and park the car on a hill in san francisco, much smaller incline. however when we came back to the car it did turn on but then when i try stepping on the gas the car wouldn't move, again. i turned off the car and waited 5 minutes and then tried again, thankfully it moved. i am afraid if driving my car in any type of inclines fearing my car is going to stop again. it also has the tendency to shake and jerk a lot. i've always brought it up to fords attention but they tell me that is how the car was manufactured and that it is normal.
My ford fiestas transmission is officially broke. the car's trannie was officially looked at by three transmission specialists, all baffled to why this car is dealing with this with such few miles. i've talked with numerous representatives of ford, who've assured me that bad things just happen and there's nothing they will do. this is a terrible problem that needs to be addressed. *tr
I purchased a ford fiesta 2011 in july 2014. within a few weeks i noticed problems with the car jerking and hesitating and lurching forward but as a check engine light was on, i assumed it was because of the faulty catalytic converter, which was later replaced in sep 2014. still, the grinding noise, jerks and hesitation continued. i travel on the garden state parkway which is always heavily congested during peak hours and the car jerking forward put me at risk for an accident. also, the brakes sometimes acted too slow but i don't know if this is a result of the transmission issues or not. it wasn't until earlier last month that i read about the inherent design flaw in the transmission. currently, my car is at the dealership awaiting repairs to the transmission.
I was driving home from work in the early afternoon on august 21, 2014 when my car seemed to lose throttle. i had noticed it was sluggish to pick up speed around 5 miles before. immediately before the car lost throttle, as if it were in neutral, the check engine light came on, an audible alert was made, and then most of the service lights came on. i managed to pull the car over in about 30 seconds, and once i was parked i could see flames coming out of the left side of the hood. i turned the car off at that point, got out, and called 911. unfortunately the front of the vehicle was completely engaged by the time the fire crew arrived. the vehicle was a total loss.
While traveling to and from work, the vehicle suddenly stalls on me. it stalls even if i am just waiting on a stop sign or light. i have been on the hwy and it stalls. i am able to turn it back on but this is dangerous. it makes noise like the engine wants to fall off. my husband also has a ford fiesta and the same thing happens to him. what is wrong with these cars? *tr
I own a 2011 ford fiesta. the car has left me stranded on the side of the road 4 times. 3 out of the 4 times i broke down i was right in the middle of rush hour traffic in new orleans! not good! i could have been killed, or killed someone else. twice i've had to wait on the side of the interstate for 2.5 hours waiting for a tow truck when i was supposed to pick up my 11 year old from camp. i've missed work, my son has been stranded, and i just do not feel safe in this car. it's been in the shop 4 times now and they've worked on it 3 times. the first time it broke down i brought it to ford and they kept it for one day but they didn't get to work on it because i was having problems with my extended warranted, which is through nissan. the 2nd time i was told the clutch went out in the dual transmission due to transmission fluid leaking on a component in the car. they took my transmission out, replaced the clutch, accidentally busted out my windshield in the process, then gave the car back. not too long after i got it back, it broke down again. they said it was the computer that operates the transmission. they did updates on the computer and gave it back to me. the very next day it broke down again and is now sitting back at ford in slidell. at this point i don't even think they know what to do with it. i then file a complaint with ford and they say there's nothing they can do? so i'm just stuck with this broken car from ford that is only a few years old? my son was with me one of the times that i broke down - the poor thing was scared half to death! i can't keep missing work - what am i supposed to do? all i see online is people with lawsuits against ford because of the transmission in these things... why isn't this a recall yet? it is definitely dangerous! *tr
The car was making noises and sounding like it was having difficulty changing gears, took it in to a ford dealer in charles town, wv (thomassen) and was told the car was ok, they reprogrammed it. a month later, same issue, took it back to them, they replaced the controller module and pronounced it fine. three months later, same issue. have been told was a recall on the transmission but now the ford dealership it is at in weston, wv, toothman, is not wanting to perform the recall, and kept it on their lot for 1 month before they even put it on a rack and looked at it. they claim it was dry of transmission fluid. the day before leaving, oil change was done and fluid levels checked. when it broke down, my daughter and boyfriend checked the fluid first thing and it had plenty. now, car is stranded and no one is wanting to help with this issue. ford first gave a claim # and said recall would be performed. now they say its not a recall, just a service.
My car was sitting in a parked position on a hill side and drifted backward over the hill, hit a guideline and rolled over two times. the car had been in the dealership over 20 times. ford and erie ins. met in may of 2014 and both decided the problems were related to manufacturing issues. the ford dealership replaced my 2011 ford fiesta's computer, water pump, reprogrammed the transmission replaced the flywheel between the motor and the transmission, entire engine (short block and heads were replaced, coils, and many other items were replaced trying to correct the problem.the transmission allowed the car to roll down the hill backwards instead of holding the car in a stopped position. i asked my car insurance company and ford motor to meet and have the car assessed for mechanic failures after the crash several times. i was told by the representative at my local ford dealership that ford did not want to look into the problem because they did not want to open themselves up to liability.. erie insurance did not want to spend the money investigating the crash, it should be ford motor company's responsibility to look into the crash. i ask erie insurance to hold the car at the savage yard until either party could investigate the problems the car had over the past year and subsequent failure resulting in the total loss of my vehicle. ford motor and c harper ford both knew my 2011 ford fiesta had issues over the past year while my car was attempting to get fix(it was at the dealership approximately 26 times) and continued to fail. the ford service consultant tom/ mechanic at the dealership informed me the ford fiesta models we having multiple mechanical issue and the car was junk. however, upon the 26 times they attempted to fix the car they allowed me to drive it with both myself and my family in the car. thus knowing they were putting us a risk. *tr
While driving down a certain road i noticed the car while on drive, switched to reverse backed up on its own and then to park without me switching gears. it did so until i was able to somehow pull over on the side of the road and turned the car off. i immediately decided to call 9-11 the officer who arrived on the scene saw with his own eyes what the car was doing and stated not to drive the car and that it was a hazard on the road. when we visited ford the dealer did not know what happened to the car and "flew over a technician" but the same problem persisted. *tr
From the beginning it has never shifted right or so i think. i even purchased the extended warranty and when i complained about it the shop said that they couldn't find anything wrong with the car. well the other day it was making crunching noises shifting gears and it took several hundred rpms to get the car going. went to parts store in it running like this 10 miles away and when i came back and pulled into driveway it died and hasn't started since. *tr
2011 ford fiesta ses, manual transmission: car started stalling about 3 or 4 mos ago when i would come to a stop. yesterday, it stalled as i was driving!!! now i don't dare get behind the wheel! i bought this car in '11 brand new and have had no problems with it until now. and now all i want to do is dump it! *tr
Car was stalling out / dying repeatedly in heavy stop and go traffic. the car would lurch forward when i pushed the gas from a dead stop and then would stall out completely. i would have to put the car in park, turn the key to start the car, and then put it in gear to get the car to drive again. if i were in traffic, and then decided to turn left to cross over the other side of the street, my car could have stalled and i could have been hit by oncoming traffic. very scary to drive a car with this defect. i took it in to get repaired and was told that it was the throttle body. it's not covered under the warranty and right now there is no recall on the vehicle for this part. *tr
While coming to a stop light check engine light started flashing. had no response from accelerator peddle. would not go. was able to roll into a parking lot. after shutting off vehicle and restarting it ran fine. continued 1-2 miles and condition occurred again. had to restart in the road to continue home. ran fine to work and back the next day. then, on highway while going 65-70 started to lose speed and had no response from accelerator peddle. came to a rolling stop unable to go. luckily was able to coast to shoulder without getting hit . took it to a dealership to learn that a throttle body is needed at a cost of $1000.00. this is now sitting in the drive as we cant afford the $1000.00. big safety issue as unable to accelerate and get off of road at unexpected times. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford fiesta. while driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle stalled when the gear was placed into neutral. the check engine indicator illuminated prior to the failure. the dealer was unable to diagnose the cause of the failure. the failure mileage was 69,100.
I purchased this vehicle in may 2013 as a used vehicle from the ford store in san leandro, ca. i have had nothing but trouble with this car since i purchased it. the first thing that broke was my passenger side visor. even though "visors and front seat srs warning" is checked off on the 172 point inspection form i was given, the visor had a crack in the piece of the visor that held it to the roof of the car. i had no idea anything was wrong with it until a passenger tried to use it and it fell into their lap. after a few months of driving the vehicle i started noticing that there is a delay when you press the gas peddle (about a 3-4 seconds), it was like the car didn't want to respond to the peddle being pushed down. i also noticed that the car would roll backwards when on a hill, i always thought i had all of the worst parts of a manual transmission, but the car is an "automatic". besides rolling backwards, the delay in the peddle would make it tough to stop at the top of a steep hill and start again, i would give it gas and it would be very sluggish. the worst part of the car has to be that when i was "crawling" in traffic, the car would shut off. it seems that it is idling too low when the car is moving slow. this also happened to me when i was pulling into a parking spot. after having this car for a year i had to replace the cooling fan after its motor burned out, i think it was a result of too much acceleration, too fast... cause you just don't know when the thing will die on you. *tr
The traction control on my 2011 fiesta is a death trap. there is no option on my specific car to disable the system. in mild snow or slush, the vehicle loses all power to the wheels as soon as tcs engages. i got stuck at the bottom of my driveway. today, 2/14/14 i was nearly killed when the car got stuck in 4" of snow & was partially in the lane of a busy roadway (i was attempting to turn into the parking lot to my place of employment). my fiance' & our 8 yr old son (who is a factor 9 hemophiliac) were screaming and scared to death as the car was helpless to move away from oncoming traffic. this is an issue that later year 2011, 2012, & 2013 models have the option to turn off this function however there is no way to add this feature to my car. if i or my family are injured due to this issue i will sue ford & nhtsa for allowing this vehicle to be sold with this kind of safety problem. *tr
Traction control system in heavy snow slows car to a crawl while entering an intersection nearly causing an accident with oncoming traffic. in early 2011 fiesta, there is no way to turn off the traction control system in order to maintain momentum to get through heavy snow which creates a dangerous situations. *tr
My 2011 ford fiesta transmission has been an issue for awhile now. i have had them reset the system and also replace the clutch. however, my car still has issues the transmission sticks and does not always accelerate when i press on the guess. you can hear and feel the engine stick and shutter. the car is more and more failing to accelerate which has caused to me to almost get into several accidents. the solution i was told by ford was that there is no true fix and it is just something they can not fix. my car is brand new and still under warranty. that type of answer is not acceptable, especially when i have almost been in several accidents because of my car malfunctioning. i want this issue resolved for good, i am extremely concerned for my safety in my car and fear of getting in an accident or seriously injured due to this issue. *tr
Took vehicle in for oil change around 30k miles, tech called me back to show me oil leak. further investigation found oil leaking from head gasket and crank shaft caps. everything replaced under warranty. 10k-15k miles later same issue happens again. everything fixed under warranty again. few thousand miles later my wife backs out of driveway and there is a puddle of oil under the car again. i got rid of the car before failure again and warranty is expired. car always handled well, great gas mileage. terrible acceleration and quirky transmission. *tr
My vehicle has had a known problem with the transmission that shutters, stutters, and rattles upon take-off. there are many times that it will barely move when vehicles behind me are coming toward me. i have to really step on the gas to get moving, and even then it usually doesn't accelerate fast enough. every time i get into my car, i could get rear ended. this problem is only getting worse. i purchased the vehicle in 2013.
Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford fiesta. while driving various speeds, the vehicle stalled without warning. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the electronic throttle body failed and would need to be repaired. the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 22,000.
The engine stalled the first time two days ago on 9/27/2013. the car shut off on the road and i had to restart the car. also it shakes when you press the accelerator and this has always happened. yesterday while i was going over a bridge the car stalled so bad that it would not accelerate at all to go over the bridge, the rpm gauge wiggled very bad back and forth and the car began to slide back down the bridge. this is a very dangerous situation. i have taken the car to ford and they claim this is how the car is supposed to act. i live in jacksonville, fl and being able to accelerate when getting on and off ramps onto the interstate is crucial when merging with traffic but if the car stalls and does not actually move and you are trying to yield and merge with oncoming traffic, anyone can see that this is a potential hazard and very dangerous. my next step is to file a lemon law lawsuit and get ford to take the car back because they will are not able to duplicate the problem while it is in their repair shop and therefore will not fix it. my best friend has the same car and complains about the same exact issue. her car shuts off several times a week so she is going to also file a complaint. before i purchased this car i had a old beat up 1995 ford ranger and i never had these issues. i have been to ford over 3 times about this issue and they continue to say "sir this is how the car is supposed to act" even the receptionist stated when i called to set up yet another appointment to have ford look at the car "wow... that does seem very dangerous we need to get you in here asap" this is not the only incident i have had with ford.. i will not even stress on that issue. however this one is very important to me due to the fact i do not even feel safe driving my car to the local store. *tr
I purchased my 2011 ford fiesta basically when it first came out, brand new.but, just prior to the 10,000 mile mark i started experiencing severe transmission problems, shuddering, stalling out, and eventually overall failure. all of these failing happened either upon taking off or during transit. i've had the car lurch and almost hit another car in traffic as well as fail while driving during rush our traffic; predominantly on city streets but also occasionally on the highway at lower shifts. the issue has been "fixed" and "assessed" more times than i believe and car problem should be without being resolved. every time i would discuss why it continues the customer service representative would always say "that's just how they work" or some other nonchalant verbage to shrug off the persisting problem that i'm paying for. this continued trouble leaves me with almost no trust in my vehicle and has cost me more money than i would care to admit to. i believe ford owes me either a lifetime warranty on my faulty vehicle or a brand new replacement for the time and financial damages i have incurred due to their thoughtless/ careless practices as well as the destruction of my peace of mind. attached is a pdf of my full vehicle service history through cavalier ford from 2011-2019 as well as pep boys which also includes evidence of attempted fraud in relation to the state of my rear breaks and shocks in the last year.
Leaked all oil from engine, according to service department findings the head gasket blew. was 2 weeks in the shop. vehicle never over-heated nor was it ever driven in a manner that should result in a blown gasket. *tr
All three occurrences requiring my car to be taken to a shop for repairs involved the vehicle moving at hi-way speeds. while travelling at 65mph, the cruise control cut out and engine died, so i had to coast to the side of the road. eventually it restarted and i got home. the issue was electronic in nature according to the dealership where i bought the car, and took it for service. the part was not immediately available and when asked, the dealership said it was safe to drive until the part came in. the repair was made under warranty. the second problem was very similar to the first occurrence, and the dealership told me it was a different problem, but was nonetheless electronic in nature. the repair was made under warranty. the third and most recent issue involves the transmission. on my daily commute, cruise set at 65mph, the transmission disengaged. there was no power to the drivetrain. when i coasted to the shoulder, no gear could be achieved. when shut off, the car would not restart. after about ten minutes, after many clunking and clicking noises had occurred under the hood, the car started and i continued. it happened again...and again. this occurred five times in 30 miles, and finally the car would not restart. this was about five miles from home and my car had to be towed to the dealer for repair. the car is two years old with 85,000 miles. all miles are hi-way miles. all routine maintenance has been performed with receipts. this vehicle is a safety hazard, for intermittent, total loss of power and control on the hi-way, as well as leaving the occupants stranded at risk, on the shoulder of said hi-way. ford does not seem to want to acknowledge publically that this is a safety problem (i.e. recall). *tr
Over the past 1 1/2 months my vehicle has stalled on the freeway 6 times. each time the "wrench" light came on, the display read "engine malfunction" and "service now". when this would happen, the engine tachometer would first drop to 1000 rpm and the accelerator would become non-responsive. soon after that the engine would just rev as if it were in neutral; then "bam" the transmission would engage abruptly and make a loud bang noise and lag when shifting. this has become a major concern as i have had people almost run into the rear of me because of my decline in speed. the only way to get the vehicle back to normal operation is to completely pull to the side of the road and turn the car off for a few seconds and restart it, unfortunately by doing this it resets the fault codes and does not retain the information for the dealership to be able to diagnose. i had brought the car to the dealership and left it for a week. they installed a "flight recorder" and drove for over 114 miles to try to reproduce the problem; but could not. i had pick ed up my car dissapointed that they could not reproduce the problem and as a result could not fix it. when i drove my vehicle that same day to work, it happened again at only 26 miles after their testing. i have seen on other web sites that this seems to be a common problem with other 2011 ford fiesta's, i only hope ford comes up with a fix for this issue soon as it seems to me to be a program issue with the vehicles computer. *tr
Vehicle would not start, tried several times but only heard sound from starter but engine did not attempt to start until a fourth try and stepping on the gas pedal. after this the vehicle would from time to time turn off when coming to a stop. service department stated that the throttle body was bad and replaced it. *tr
This was the certified letter i sent to ford: on june 12, 2012, i purchased/financed a new 2011 ford fiesta at andy shaw ford in sylva, nc. unfortunately, the fiesta has not performed with reliability or safety due to chronic transmission issues and has caused ample inconveniences as well as safety concerns for myself and my daughter when i am operating the vehicle. i am very disappointed because i have had the car serviced several times for the same symptoms and transmission issues. enclosed are copies of the vehicle's service records. each time, the service department has claimed to have fixed the problem. however, after a few months, i begin experiencing the same symptoms. on numerous occasions, i have experienced life threatening situations on the road while operating the vehicle (almost being rear-ended, getting stuck and almost being hit while trying to pull out of a parking lot or trying to make a turn across an intersection) due to the transmission malfunctioning/stalling/lurching forward and end up back in the dealership service department, yet again. i have also been in contact with a customer service manager regarding these issues, michelle (at 1-866-631-3788, ext. 77796), who has yet to offer any real, valid assistance. to resolve the problem, i would appreciate your replacing the vehicle with one that provides safety and reliability, at no cost to me. i believe i am entitled to this according to georgia lemon law. i look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem no later than november 21st, 2016. waiting any longer will put my and my daughter's safety and life at further risk. ***ford wrote back and denied my request for a safe, reliable vehicle replacement. they are ignoring the severity of the safety issue and simply told me to keep working with the service department.
I have had numerous instances of my car just dying on the road. the first time this happened, i was making a turn into my subdivision in front of oncoming traffic. when i hit the gas my car slowly rolled into the middle of the street. luckily the oncoming drivers were paying attention and slowed down enough to not hit me. i pulled off the road, put the car in park and restarted it. this happened on and off but the dealer could never find an issue. to start it was no more than once a day but this weekend it happened at almost every stop. it continues to have this issue. when i stop at a light or stop sign it rumbles and cuts off. it has gotten so bad that i'm afraid to drive down busy streets. i keep my radio off just so i can be sure to hear when this happens otherwise i'll be caught in the middle of oncoming traffic again. in addition to this most recent issue, the car had multiple issues in the past. the first month that i purchased this car it would just not turn on most mornings, or even after being off for a short amount of time. *tr
I bought the car new and have taken it to two separate dealerships to correct this issue and it continues. initially, the transmission light came on and the car began having trouble shifting. after the first repair, the car began shaking uncontrollably. the second repair corrected the shaking, but now (at 15,755 miles) the car will (1) make grinding metallic noises when shifting, (2) fail to shift on any incline (instead it revs to approximately 2500 rpms and "sticks" there), (3) jolt forward when the brake is applied as if the accelerator was pressed down, and (4) roll backwards on hills as if it is a manual transmission. i understand that (4) can be common among newer automatics that attempt higher fuel economy. however, numerous times the speed at which the car rolls back has incurred a safety risk. this seems to be another indication of an issue with the transmission. *tr
The positive battery cable completely sheared off preventing the car from starting. the circular lug used to connect the cable to the positive battery post is too thin for the size of the cable and extra safety fuses and circuitry. to make matters worse such a poorly designed part has a lead time from ford's oem in mexico of 4-6 weeks. the car has been at north central ford in richardson, texas, since 15 august. after missing the part delivery deadline three times the dealership finally provided a rental car. as of the writing of this issue the ford fiesta has been in the shop for 26 days, still waiting for the original part from the oem. *tr
I had a 2011 ford fiesta, i have been experiencing a jerking/lunging motion when the transmission downshifts from time to time. i have almost been in an accident twice because of this with my 8 year old daughter and girl scouts in the car. i took the vehicle in for service and have informed their service dept. /mechanic of the issue. they assured me that nothing was wrong and the vehicles computer is adjusting to how i drive the car and that is why it is doing this. they replaced the clutch and reprogrammed my car over four times? i have done a little research and found this websites after website with people with other complaints similar to mine. i called ford motor company and filed a formal complaint. it took a week for someone to call be back and i was told the car was fine. i tried to call back, but you only get to the call center and no further. i was refused to be transferred to a manager and was told that was that?s the way the car was designed to drive. i was offered a discount the x plan to trade in my car for another but that would not help. when dealing with the dealership the service manager said i am sorry i can't help you anymore. we get at least 6 calls a day about the same problem but until ford does something there is nothing we can do. i work with three other women that also have had the same problem with their cars. two of us had to trade our cars because we felt so un-safe in the cars. *tr
Driving in traffic normal speed about 40-45 mph, vehicle stopped accelerating completely. normal commute & almost got rear ended since the car started to decelerate quickly. once we were able to pull off to the side of the road we tried switching the gears and restarting the car. after this, the car would not restart at all. taken the car to ford multiple times and they have ran all sorts of diagnostics and we find ourselves at the dealership at least every 2-3 months with issues. ford corporate did nothing but provide extended warranty. what would they have done if we were actually rear ended & severely hurt because of the faulty car? unfortunately an extended warranty does not correct he problem & this vehicle is still jeopardizing my family's safety and we'll being. *tr
When taking off from a stop the engine shutters causing a delay in acceleration.this has almost cause many accidents. it is very startling when the whole vehicle starts to bounce and shake. clutch parts have been replace 2 times now. other work has been done to try and fix the problem with no luck.over 20 times in shop. i also have been told ford has chosen to set guide lines now that they say shutter in the transmission is normal. normal does not help when i'm trying to pull out on a highway and lose power. i would like to know if there has been other reported issues. this car is dangerous. *tr

Vehicle shudders and makes shifting noises when driving. ford issued extended warranty that requires owners to bring the car to a ford dealership, which i have done many times to get rid of the shuddering problem. this has not fixed the problem.
We questioned the dealer salesperson about the erratic behavior the night we purchased the car. we were told the vehicle had a manual transmission that shifted automatically. the vehicle has been to the dealership and or the dealership has been questioned many times regarding the issue. most recently there was a notice for a reprogramming of the transmission, this did not resolve the issue. the dealers still insist that the behavior is normal. this behavior has now created many close call situations from lunging when going forward and reverse. the shifting is very erratic and makes a lot of noise from 0 to 20 mph or so. i'm also concerned about the resale value of this vehicle since i just recently starting doing research on the issue and have found it's a widespread problem. please advise. *tr
